I don't know if the people here who left comments for this restaurant went to the same restaurant my friends and i went to. We all tasted each other's mains and we thought they were all great! Ravioli is a must! The Scallops risotto, baby pig and Italian seabass were also delicious! But special mention to the Grilled king prawn one of my friends had and lobster pasta (didn't regret ordering this!) yeah, would definitely recommend it for romantic dinners.

We were greeted by friendly wait staff and when we entered there was only one other table in the whole place, the place is not big with about 10 tables max on the inside.

I started my dinner with a glass of chardonnay and my sis a cup of hot water. After our drinks they brought us a bread basket served with olive oil and vinegar which was expected. The bread was a bit on the hard side and didn't taste that fresh.

We both starred at the menu for awhile pondering what to order when the mozzarella caught my eye. I had been craving a cheesy dish. THe mozzarella was served with parma ham. Being a cheese fan and mozzarella in particular I thought the cheese was very bland and the presentation was mediocre. the only thing that added taste was the saltiness of the parma ham.

My sister choose the salmon carpaccio. This dish was also a dish I would not recommended. It was served with rocket leaf and parmesan. The presentation was also lacking... and the taste was also soso.

As we were not that hungry we asked the server to recommended a main for us to share and he insisted that the lobster linguine was a top favorite, so we took his advice. I was overly disappointed with this dish, it was a bit fishy and didn't have much taste like both the appy's we choose. There wasn't much lobster in the dish but was served with a lobster head.

I wanted something sweet to end the meal I choose the tiramisu because this is such a classic Italian dessert that you can tell how good this and judge the restaurant. Good thing we were quite full as this dessert came and it was so SMALL! The taste is not bad though, very creamy! I finished most of the dessert.

I must say the waiters are very attentive and always quick to suggest dishes but I'm not so sure I would return again for the food maybe just a quick drink on their front patio before dinner..

來自美國的安格斯西冷扒,從外表看來好像是烤焦了的模樣,不過內裡約莫是五成熟。大廚烤牛扒的生熟程度掌握得很好,外圍的焦香與內裡的肉嫩平衡得宜,牛味亦很濃郁。除了煮功外,好吃的其中一個主因當然是肉的本身質素好。汁料是典型 steak sauce 再加少許黑松露吊味,個人覺得其實不用點汁,光吃那塊靚牛肉已是品嘗它的最佳方法。

Tiramisu 是這裡的名物,杏仁酒與咖啡酒的味道頗濃郁,口感也做到幼滑細緻;另配的是朱古力雪芭而不是雪糕 (所以比較快溶掉啊),不會過甜,口感亦更輕盈。

最後不得不提那店方自家製的檸檬酒「Limoncello」,在飯後侍應會熱情地免費奉上,味道超酸,一杯到肚,飽滯的肚皮彷彿得到了解藥,感覺舒服得多,這項是非常好的 value-added service。

We walked around the major area around SOHO, and decided to try something with a pretty decent interior design. This one had a patio. Since the weather wasn't cold today, we've decided to take a seat outside. The restaurant got sufficient amount of heater to keep us warm so don't hesitate to take a seat outside instead. (and to also make their restaurant look like there's lots of customer)
We got seated and I was offered two menu. We've decided to stay sober and asked for tap water. However, they just outright said they don't have it. Although its a trend in Hong Kong these days, I've decided to take tap water due to environmental impact. We want to limit our carbon footprint, Well, that wasn't a choice here and was forced to drink sparkling water... and we aren't the only one here with the same concern.

Anyway, we ordered 4 items for 3 people. We evenly split all 3 entree among 3 person by ourselves. However, before we start on our meal, we were given the choice if we wanted parasan cheese. We said okay. The waitress stood at one spot and just spray cheese onto our food. We wouldn't normally make a big fuss but they kinda made a mess spreading the cheese outside the plate as well as all over the table. We thought that wasn't too professional and could have been avoided if they walked around, which was only 3-4 steps. The mess also wasn't cleaned up so the table was rather cheesed up.

This was an alright appetizer. The beef wasn't as salty as the ones Ive eaten. It was reasonably seasoned.Portion was just right.

The minced beef sauce tasted good, however the texture of the gnocchi was way to soft. Size was okay considering price but could always use a slightly larger plate..

The risotto was the best out of all 3 entrée. The sauce was perfect, not too creamy. Portion was just right. Prepared perfect!

This was the linguine with clams and white wine. Although the plate looked very appealing, I must say, I was very disappointed with the taste of this dish. The sauce and the clams were extremely salty. I felt like I was putting salt in my mouth..it was very disgusting...I wish it was less salty because the texture of the linguine was cooked perfectly..The sauce just completely ruin the dish. The portion was bigger than the others but since it taste horrible, it was probably one dish you wish you had less in terms of portion.

WAs stated, we were seated outside / patio. The waitress and the boss does look outside from time to time to ensure we are good but never asked if we need anything else but never came out in person to ask if stuff are alright. The attitude of the waitress and boss itself wasn't very professional. Back to the parasan on cheese incident. Those cheese was served across the table while we were talking. Waitress just stood at one spot and start spraying those cheese. That's okay but if you make a mess out of it, then they should have probably walked a few step and serve the cheese on the right side of the customer. What ended up was cheese all over the table and it wasn't cleaned up. Not much a big deal if its in some low-end restaurant but wasn't expecting this.
The boss was around as well but he was more busy standing outside getting more customers than asking us how was our meal. In fact, he never asked us that question, nor did the waitress. We wanted to express to him about the salty-ness of that spaghetti but that question was never asked. Never said goodbye when we left, but more busy luring customers. Lets just say once our meal was ordered, the boss never said a word after to us lol.

Here's the last blow
Our bill... was kinda expected until we saw "Charity". $3 isn't a lot, but we'd like to be at least be informed
Rather they donate that or not is... up in the air (though I think they will). But being informed is always better than just surprising customers. You're only clue was the little pamphlet / leaflet that was on the left when the bill comes. We looked inside the phamplet/leaflet and nothing was said about donating 1 dollar per person. If anything, it should have been from the profit of the restaurant, and not from us since... if we waned to donate, we'd donate money to a registered charity company and would do it at our own discretion..
So yea, we got sold on their decorations. The food wasn't up to par/ was just medicore. The boss didn't seem like he cared after we walked in. We had better meal at this price around SOHO. So no, we won't come back again and won't recommend it to people. We aren't the only one

poached eggs with caciotta cheese & frisee lettuce salad: 因為少見salad以poched eggs為材, 覺得很有趣, 蛋白嫩滑不老身, 急不及待切開看看, 見鮮黃色的蛋汁緩緩地流出, 未算「有爆漿」的感覺, 但仍令我有一絲興奮。 本身未見過caciotta cheese, 所以一直在找, 原來上面一條條很幼身的就是, 奶味很濃, 咸咸的。 這道菜以油醋汁調味, 酸酸的, 偏向清淡, 生菜新鮮爽脆, 沒有苦味。

linguine with clams & white wine: 上檯時間距沙律有二十分鐘, 實有點慢, 但我們不趕時間, 可慢慢等, 所以沒有甚麼怨言。 落單時侍者問過是否share吃, 所以來到時已分開成兩碟, 夠貼心。 蜆肉較一般的大, 帶橙色, 肉質鮮甜不韌, 沒有沙粒。 麵條煮得不過火, 但略嫌硬身, 不算是al dente, 幸好味道搭夠, 炒得香口不油膩。

太愛吃羊所以點了roasted lamb shank with spring vegetabes & natural sauce, presentation很美, 羊膝大大件, 輕輕一切已離骨, 肉嫩不鞋口, 有輕微的羶香, 始終有羊羶味才算得上是吃羊吧! 伴碟的雜菜多樣化, 有珍珠洋蔥、豆角、車厘茄、瓜等, 昊使嚷著很飽也不忍心吃剩。

又到了全晚最精彩的甜品環節, 合心水的有三款, 其中sicilian pastry filled with ricotta dried fruits & pistachios, 賣相很講究, 未吃已滿有期望 。酥皮不是鬆泡那種, 而是硬脆較為實淨, 芝士忌廉打得軟滑, 檸檬味很濃很天然, 黏上開心果粒又多種層次感。

決定不到要profitterol還是tiramisu, 還是問侍者意見好了。 對方力推後者, 又說是皇牌甜品, 當然是相信他啦! 果真沒錯, 很愛這種細緻輕柔的口感, 不會過甜, 酒味濃郁, 嚐到杏仁酒和咖啡酒的味道。 手指餅夠濕潤但不會煮得太多酒而出水, 確是難得。

結脹時一心以為用citibank卡會有七折, 怎料卻換來一句「not available today」, 到現在仍不知是何因由, 現在人均消費三百多, 不算便宜, 卻沒有後悔, 至今仍然很回味。

「麵包」屬於皮薄而軟的,不過也略帶一點嚼勁,鬆軟的麵包沾上油醋醬,入口的滋味相當不錯。

我點的「濃湯」相當綿密,口味比較偏向清淡,麵包丁吸了湯汁,相當值得一讚;老饕同事說他的「沙律」相當新鮮好吃。

今日的義大利麵是「天使髮」,雖然比較偏好直麵的口感,但想說很久沒有吃便試試。這兒的義大利麵是比較多醬汁的,正好符合我喜歡吃的口味,番茄與肉醬都相當新鮮,而且看起來不多的份量,卻讓我吃的極飽。

老饕同事點的「義大利飯」借我嚐了一口,味道並不如看上去重,不過飯稍微硬,我比較偏好煮的再濕軟一點。

餐後的「甜點」也相當美味,讓不常吃甜點的我也可迅速一掃而空。只是「Cappuccino」就普普通通,奶泡打的不是很好,或許點一杯黑咖啡或Espresso會比較好吧!

座無虛席的店裡,每桌客人都聊的相當開心,我想這是一定的。美味的食物、親切的服務、放鬆的氛圍,合起來絕對發揮一加一大於二的功效,能享用這樣的一餐,心情自然會好了起來!

後記:
其實若把每項食物分開來評比,都不會是我近期吃過最美味的,但是若全部和在一起比較,加上店內的環境,Peccato可以排進我最近用餐經驗的前三甲!

  於大會堂觀賞電影後,信步來到蘇豪區,時為晚上十時許。左探右看,門外餐牌的文字未夠引人。亦因沒做功課,始終選不定那間菜館。可幸心大心細敵不過肚子亂叫,最後還沒看清便走進《罪惡》去。    坐下來,侍應為我們鋪上餐巾。放好手邊雜物後,才能好好看清這小店。輕淡而不致於幽暗的燈光,略帶意大利風情的裝潢,不算特別,但勝在簡約。接過餐牌,入目的是滿版意大利文。抬眼與朋友對望,只好尷尬一笑故作鎮定,再依靠菜名下的英文食材簡介,冒險點了個鮮蝦意粉和大廚推介的牛仔肉。  沒有點湯,先上來的麪包籃跟鵝肝醬多士就沾以欖油香醋。麪包早已失去溫度,但尚算新鮮、軟熟,忽然有點懷念銅鑼灣Galano Ristorante 那食之不盡的出爐麪包;肝醬香滑,味道先淡後濃,沒有過多脂肪的油膩感,留着微芳的after taste最好以紅酒相送。品嚐間,意粉已送到枱上,略小的方桌頓見狹窄。也許太早上菜的關係,動叉時熱度已減低不少。意粉略硬,許是本館特色。粉身乾爽,濃汁沒為碟底掃油。細蝦味鮮,沒有活蝦刺身那種甜美,卻帶着淡淡香草。蝦身亦見脆嫰,火喉剛好。雖然份量不多,但這偏淡的香笳海鮮意粉,已足叫人回味。  隨後上菜的是燒

  隨後上菜的是燒牛仔肉,聽侍應說肉材新鮮進貨,不禁期望甚高。下刀一切,進口的粉色丁方充滿濃烈燒烤焦香。慢慢細嚼,牛肉獨有的甜味在炭火間偷偷化開。肉質嫰滑不在話下,伴碟的略咸醃菜正好托起牛肉原味,相得益彰。只有掌心大小的牛仔肉沒有西冷那份霸氣,但它的軟滑不遜於肉眼、牛仔骨;雖然肉味不夠,但鮮味十足。牛魔王們或許嫌它太淡,但這要人細意品味after taste 的主菜,正好反映此店簡約的性格。

  談笑間,已接近晚上十一時半,充當點綴的提拉美蘇與冧酒蛋糕也恰如其份的完成任務。論食物,選材嚴謹是我的第一印象。口味或許人各有好,但食料的質素卻騙不了人。論環境,情調可算幽雅,遺憾伊利近街外賣摩托不斷,死氣喉的怒吼頗為掃興,不過這已是非戰之罪了。

最近soho 的樓宇和馬路很多維修工程, 很不容易才走到餐廳. 兩個人吃午餐, 叫咗兩個套餐:我的沙律很新鮮, 三片黃色的義大利芝士旦餅(Frittata)令賣相更吸引友人的是日餐湯 :友人把整碗洋蔥湯飲得乾乾淨淨, 味道不俗.主菜:我叫咗露筍意大利飯, 友人是鱸魚, 配菜不多, 兩樣都鹹咗少少.是日甜品是奶凍, 唔太甜, 幾滑, 熱咖啡也不錯.座位空間很少, 椅背貼牆, 肥少少的人坐唔落; 另一邊的位置更逼, 因為要讓條通路俾服務員上菜, 路太難, 沒有再來的興趣.

座位空間很少, 椅背貼牆, 肥少少的人坐唔落; 另一邊的位置更逼, 因為要讓條通路俾服務員上菜, 路太難, 沒有再來的興趣.

Yummy! Yummy! I seldom go to same restaurant for same dish for a consecutive week. Peccato offers very good pasta. The monthly special - linguine with sea urchin was just fantastic. Sea urchin added her texture to the creamy sauce which was just so great!! Price is reasonable and you have discount by using either Super Monday card (buy 1-get-1-free on main course) or Citibank Credit Card (30% offer + free glass of wine).Amongst all the Citibank dinning offer at present, I think Igor's Group is s

I seldom go to same restaurant for same dish for a consecutive week. Peccato offers very good pasta. The monthly special - linguine with sea urchin was just fantastic. Sea urchin added her texture to the creamy sauce which was just so great!!

Price is reasonable and you have discount by using either Super Monday card (buy 1-get-1-free on main course) or Citibank Credit Card (30% offer + free glass of wine).

Amongst all the Citibank dinning offer at present, I think Igor's Group is so generous to offer 30% discount with free glass of wine per person.

The restaurant was full for both last night and last Monday. Reservation is recommended; especially if you want to have the free wine by using Citibank card.

17-08-09 we ordered:
Canneloni - served in 4 pcs. Filled with cheese. Taste good!
Penne with tomato sauce - no disappointment
Linguine with sea urchin - excellent
Sea bass with Tomato Water is disappointing. No need to try.
Kurobuta pork - quite interesting, worth to try
Chocolate cake - very icy, cannot cut it until it was a bit de-frozen
Creamy dip with 4 favors: chocolate, vanila, etc - quite interesting but I forgot her name on menu. The dish was served in 4 small cup of dip with small cookie on the side
Spending: $225 per person (discounted by Super Monday card)

24-08-09 we ordered:
house wine - free, we tried both white and red
Beef capaccio
Calamari - small calamair cooded in creamy sauce, good
Rissoto - home made
Ravioli with articoke & beef - home made
Linguine with sea urchin - not so impressive as last time, still taste good
Seafood stew with toast - supposed to be a signature dish but we found it so so only
Tiramisu - ok
Short cake with berries - tasteful
Chocolate cake - tasteful
Spending: $280 per person (discounted by Citibank card)

It was my bf's birthday and I organised a birthday dinner in Pecatto. I went there for their bargain lunch before and it was impressive. The Igor group offers birthday deal like they give you a tiny birthday cake and $300 off the bill. Was thinking it was good deal. and I now think its actually a rip off especially if you have a big group, that 10% will be more than this tiny discount. RIght before we arrived, they already have put the suggested red wine on the table which cost $450 a bottle, well, really $500 a bottle plus 10%.

We chose the suggested wine and they also asked if we want some stilled water, yea, $50 per a botte of water!!! It is actually ok! we know how much it cost and we ordered it! Fine, the cheeky thing is that just keep topping you up and order the wine and water automatically without us asking! in the end there were 4 bottle of wine opened and maybe 4-5 bottle of water opened.

The food is exceptional again, don't get me wrong, although if you have big appetite, do not go there. They are the smaller than the small size of Fat Angelos for main course!

After we have paid he bill, they waiter still didn't miss the last chance to upsell and ask whether we would like any liquor, I would say its not too much even you give a free shot to every one after everyone spent $600 each. and they had to charge, we didn't order in the end and they gave 2 free shots. well better than nothing.

Will go again but with order strategy, they sometimes have some credit card discount.

Because we are not too hungry, we decided to share the appetizer and the main dish.We have ordered:2 glasses of house white wineCesear salad for appetizerLamb rack for main dishBecause we are sharing the dish, the chef already separate our salad into two bowl for us in the kitchen.The Lamb rack is excellent, very juicy and tender, highly recommend.Service is ok, environment is also ok.Can visit again.

Because we are sharing the dish, the chef already separate our salad into two bowl for us in the kitchen.
The Lamb rack is excellent, very juicy and tender, highly recommend.
Service is ok, environment is also ok.
Can visit again.
