Tagliatelle - Wagyu beef Bolognese in traditional style $210: 9分, 先來的是pasta, 這裡的homemade pasta有4款, 最後就揀選了Tagliatelle, 質感相當對辦, 很有al dante的感覺, 始終是自家製的出品, 高水準也是自然的. 至於和牛肉醬汁, 味道香濃, Tagliatelle吸收了醬汁的味道之後, 更是惹味.

Norcina $210: 9.5分, 既然這裡的薄餅是招牌作, 那有不吃的道理. Norcina是最為人喜愛的款式, 先要讚薄餅是焗得剛剛好, 熱辣辣, 邊位是相當香脆, 而中間的部份就相當鬆軟, 很高水準. 配上的餡料包括有肉腸, 蘑菇以及水牛芝士, 肉腸帶香濃的肉味, 而水牛芝士的芝士香也很突出. 這招牌作果然沒有令人失望.

Prosciutto and Formaggi $210: 9.5分, 既然如此, 那大家就再加碼點算了另外一款薄餅Prosciutto and Formaggi, 薄餅的水準一樣是相當高, 質感很香脆而鬆軟, 配上的餡料以巴馬火腿為主, 鹹香突出, 另外還跟上gorgonzola芝士, taleggio芝士, 水牛芝士以及tuoa piermontese芝士. 用上了四款芝士那麼多, 芝士香自然是相當香濃, 愛吃芝士的朋友準會滿足.

Homemade Sausage $110: 9分, 來到主菜的環節, 先來一客店方的signature dish, Homemade Sausage, 有經典味道以及辣味兩款供選擇, 當然, 我是吃經典味道啦. 這客自家製的肉腸, 烤得相當香口, 肉香突出, 有點咬口, 令人滿意. 只是一客賣價$110, 實在偏貴.

Roasted Spring Chicken $280: 9分, 也來一客燒春雞, 來自法國的, 全隻$280, 半隻$180, 我們四個人, 就分吃全隻吧. 跟自家製肉腸一樣, 是烤得非常香口, 皮是脆卜卜的, 但中間的肉仍能保持嫩滑的質感. 喜歡的話, 還可以點上店方自家的芥末醬, 味道自是提升了不少.

Lemon Tart $100: 9分, 來到甜品方面, 我這次就走穩陣的路線, 點選兩款上次吃過的甜品. 檸檬撻的賣相教人驚喜, 撻底質感香脆, 中間的檸檬吉士味道甜中帶酸, 很開胃. 而面層的就是朱古力碎, 朱古力味道香濃. 配上旁邊香滑的雲尼拿雪糕同吃, 層次豐富, 讚!

Tiramisu $100: 9分, 吃意大利菜, 以Tiramisu來作甜品也是很大路的做法, 但這裡的出品就完全是教人不能抗拒. 面層的咖啡雪糕味道是相當香濃, 而底下的Tiramisu層次感做得相當好, 濕潤度合宜, 當中的mascarpone芝士質感細滑, 咖啡酒香味道突出, 中間還加入了咖啡啫哩, 讓一切來得更加豐富.

剛剛得到米芝蓮一星榮譽的CIAK - In The Kitchen, 薄餅水準相當高, 不能不試, 自家製的意粉也是必吃的項目, 當然, 甜品亦很有驚喜, 賣相, 層次感以及味道也很突出, 推介. 埋單每位$415, 計及這裡的地段以及食物質素, 其實也是合理的.

I am not a HK resident but I do visit HK about once a year and normally I spend my time eating in HK/Chinese style restaurants. To me there is no point eating western food in HK as it is normally overly expensive and quality is quite hit and miss. I decided to try CIAK for its 1 star standing and the 3 star chef owner and for the overwhelming positive reviews seen here.

I would like to give my perspective:

First the service: the waitress rushed through the service (called it efficiency?). Often when my friend had not finished the food an empty plate was already placed on the table. Then there was the $70 bottle still water, which I was not given the choice to select. It was Acqua Panna, that's it. Beware when the waitress ask: 'Do you like still or sparkling water?', answer 'Tap water please' if you don't want to pay $70.

Then the food: I ordered Margherita, a simple tomato based pizza with cheese and basil. A good way to test the quality of the ingredients used. I have to say that I was disappointed. The tomato sauce was sour (not sweet as Italian tomato should be), the cheese tasteless and the basil didn't emit any fragrance like a fresh herb should. Having seen all the positive rave reviews about the quality of the pizza here I am actually doubting my own judgment. Other food which I ordered: the famous octopus & potato salad, I would like to say that a little good olive oil and some fresh herbs can be used to wake the salad up. The linguine with clams would be better if fresher clams were used and the fish stock used  masked the clam flavour of the dish. The quality of the roasted French spring chicken was of good quality but there was nothing special about it. Anyone can buy the chicken, put some salt on and roast in the oven and get the same result for a much cheaper price.

As this restaurant has gotten a 1 star michiline and good rating on its pizza, I visited this restaurant for lunch. I ordered a piece of vegetarian pizza at $60 and get a cup of soup (califlower soup) by adding $20. The pizza contains broccoli, red pepper and cheese. 用架把pizza放高,賣相更佳。從前在pizza hut除了芝心批外,必定放棄個邊,像又硬又韌的麵包。但CIAK的pizza邊很脆,半空心,不會太濟。大量的芝士,加上火腿,非常香,好好食。但多吃幾塊後,開始覺得火腿偏咸。

最後點了一份甜品,跟想像有點不同。第一個反應是朱古力慕絲在哪兒。原來在最底。雲尼拿雪糕可以見到點點雲尼拿籽,幾香。本來有點失望,點解雪糕做了主角。終於食到chocolate mousse才知道,我們錯了。很驚喜,超濃的黑朱古力,味道很出。改變一般慕絲的做法,口感帶點嚡,很特別。

雖然只試了幾道,但每一款都很好吃。侍應個個都臉帶笑容,又好吃又吃得開心,大家很喜歡這最後的一餐。

除了堂食,還有外賣,有focaccia,burger,lasagna數款pizza和沙律,價錢尚可,也是不錯的選擇。試過focaccia,很厚的parma ham,很香而且只是少咸,配rocket和cream cheese,即使要在office邊吃邊做,也很滿足。

實在忍受不了港式pizza, 薄的似餅乾、厚的似麵包,跟本不是pizza.CIAK 的pizza, 餅底鬆軟帶點點韌度、芝士香濃、prosciutto帶鹹香,還是即焗,真的超級好味。9/10如果在超級市場買芝士和prosciutto, 也要差不多$150, 所以還是來這兒吃吧!我們二人每人吃兩片,已經飽了,還要打包一半。今次試了Nutella Coffee, Nutella 味不太重,味道不太甜(7/10)杯是透明雙層保溫的,可以欣賞杯內咖啡、又保暖,不錯的設計。星期六、日餐廳有brunch, 三百多元一位,但以我們的食量,不太適合。我們坐的位是開放式的,星期天中午只有我們一枱,坐得舒服。

平時lunch time經常行過這家餐廳,但是見價錢比較貴的關係都沒有入去,不過今次相約好友聚會,就去試試。望真個menu,價錢真係有返咁上下。首先送上麵包籃,跟一般的麵包不同,用了36個小時發烤的很有咬口,對喜歡吃麵包的我來說很滿意。來到意大利餐廳,當然要試Pasta同Pizza。Pasta方面,我們選擇了餐廳的signature dish,Fettuccini,由於所有pasta都是人手做的,意粉的口感比較硬身,好特別;味道就一般了。見到個menu提到個Pizza餅底用了36個小時發烤已經覺得好吸引,我們就點了Prosciutto and Formaggi,即係Parma Ham Pizza。果然沒有令我們失望,Pizza一上枱就已經香噴噴,吃入口感覺到火腿跟芝士的完美結合,而且餅底口感十足,一下子整件pizza已經被我消滅了。餐廳的pizza實在是太出色了,下次一定會再光顧。

見到個menu提到個Pizza餅底用了36個小時發烤已經覺得好吸引,我們就點了Prosciutto and Formaggi,即係Parma Ham Pizza。果然沒有令我們失望,Pizza一上枱就已經香噴噴,吃入口感覺到火腿跟芝士的完美結合,而且餅底口感十足,一下子整件pizza已經被我消滅了。

Located on 3/F of Landmark which used to be the supermarket ThreeSixty, this down-to-earth restaurant is divided into two sections, a restaurant section for eating in and a walk-in section for buying take away. The choices for the walk-in section is limited to soups, salads, pizzas and desserts, which are ordered directly from the counters, whereas a full menu is available in the restaurant section.

The lack of enclosure of the restaurant section made us feel a little bit exposed at first, but the decor was otherwise very comfortable and cosy. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and were always eager to explain the menu or make recommendations to us.

(2) The pan fried scamorza ($150) was a bundle of joy. Deliciously crispy on the surface while wonderfully oozy and smooth in the middle, the scamorza was deeply flavoured without being too salty. The arugula and datterino tomato salad, in a balsamic vinegar dressing, was light and refreshing.

The mortadella ham meatballs were flavourful and juicy, and the tomato sauce, made stringy by the melted cheese, was utterly satisfying.

The Tartufo Nero home made pizza ($980) ("tartufo nero" meaning "black truffle" in Italian) arrived, and it was immediately evident that it was worth the thousand dollar price tag.

The crust of the pizza was appropriately crispy and doughey, and the toppings of Italian eggs, homemade sausage, potato, spinach, taleggio and mozzarella offered a symphony of harmonious, unforgettable flavours. The delicate, exquisite taste of black truffle, the gloriously runny semi-cooked eggs and the soft, powdery texture of the potatoes left me speechless.

This type of non-fussy, laid-back Italian restaurant is what I have been waiting for for a long time in Hong Kong. Despite being located in an upscale shopping mall, CIAK is reminiscent of the eateries in Italy that are low key yet serve up outstanding and sophisticated Italian dishes - chef Umberto has once again stolen my heart with his culinary establishment.

The baked eggplant was smothered with the perfect amount of cheese, and that orange/red parmigiana colored sauce was sooooo good. Even after we finished all the eggplants- we saved the sauce to use as a dip for our pizza crusts! Don't waste, folks.
The pizzas are fresh from the bakery over, with 36 hours of natural fermentation!

Just look at that thick dough....The crust was super thick. (I'm usually more a fan of the thin crust pizzas.)

The parma ham is especially salty and atop the salty mozzarella just made it a bit much. I would definitely recommend trying out the other pizzas (Actually, I wouldn't mind coming back to try out the other pizzas.)

The tagliatelle pasta was so nice in texture and the thick wagyu beef bolognese sauce was perfectly aromatic and added just the right amount of balance for the pasta! YUM!

Another weekday day off by myself and I had a late lunch. Decided to come here as I had heard good things about it. Perhaps my expectations were too high.I decided on the lunch set. I decided on the lunch set. Two courses for $268. I chose the octopus potato salad and a tagliatelle with bolognese sauce. Bread was given along with a bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There was no plate for me to dip the oil/vinegar mixture. Where was I to do this? Pour it straight onto my bread? The bread was also cold and hard. It felt like stale bread.

Octopus potato salad was quite good. Octopus was soft and not rubbery. Potatoes were soft. Salad greens lightly dressed.

Tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was a disappointment. Just realized the camera white balance is off..sorry it's so yellow in color. It said handmade pasta. I'm sure it was. It was al dente. But the bolognese was strange. There was just way too much Parmesan. So much, it over powered all other flavors in the sauce.

I found it odd that for paying $300 for lunch, I wasn't given a napkin of any sort. Be it cloth or paper. I had to use my own tissue paper, like a cha chan teng. It was also extremely noisy. My glass of water was also not refilled even when I asked a few times. Staff was also busy chatting while I waved to get the bill. If I was paying for Tsui Wah, I wouldn't care. But $300, I expect more.

Overrated food for the price. Poor service. Noisy. Won't return.

昨晚跟朋友去了中環置地CIAK食飯,裡面的黑松露Pizza好特別,廚師會把整個Pizza 推出客人面前先切好,然後再把黑松露一片一片切在Pizaa上面。熱哄哄的Pizza鋪上香噴噴的黑松露,真的很吸引!還有女生最愛的甜品,我跟朋友分別點了蘋果批和tiramisu,好喜歡淡淡的蘋果清香和濃郁的咖啡味道。一天工作過後能跟好朋友吃一餐好的,好幸福。

Magherita ($160) - since I haven't tried their pizza before, I decided to get the basic magherita flavor with mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil. The size was decent with 6 slices but unfortunately the pizza was pretty disappointing though. The crust was hard and not chewy enough with no flavor at all. The cheese was like a piece of plastic - it was hard to tear through it for some reason. There are much better choices of pizza in HK compared to this.

White Chocolate Cheese Cake ($58) - I ended up getting the white chocolate cheese cake since the staff said this was one of their most famous desserts. The cost itself was almost the same as the set so this seemed to be a better deal than their other pastries. The cheese cake was just average though as it wasn't that rich or creamy. I don't know how they can get away with charging over $50 for this dessert.

Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience with the quality of food at CIAK. Not sure if I would go back again though I have heard good things about their pasta.

聽聞CIAK 是1/8 Otto 大廚的大弟子開的,已非常期待,因1/8 Otto實在超難訂位。和朋友來吃晚飯,見地方也很寬敞,還見到楊千樺。試了侍者推介的octopus salad,octopus肉身嫩,配合蔬菜,賣相也幾靚,第一印象不錯。Pasta也是必吃的,點了ham mezze maniche , pasta麵質Al dente, 肉醬的份量與味道也恰到好處,吃得開心。反而主菜iberico pork neck合格,但不太突出。另外要提的是麵包是自家製的,好吃非常。而酒侍推介的兩杯酒Al Passo Tolanini($100) 和Bianco Borgo Alezzandro($90),兩杯也很配合我們點的菜。食物價錢平1/8 Otto很多,又不用訂位,唯酒有點略貴。一定會再來,下次要試甜品!
