bread & butter: 8/10The bread is good and full of texture, like the bread we caneat in Europe. poireaux vinaigrette:  6.5/10 
Leek salad is a new world to me. I haven’t thought of
tasting leek in this texture and flavor. It is served in cold very soft, soft
like 一絲絲, 有多Dfibre嘅娃娃菜,
the aroma is sour but it doesn’t taste too sour. The cheese on top has not much
effect, the baked almond is aromatic, with the balsamic sauce, I first thought
it is chocolate sauce XD, it is a dish that I won’t order again, and it feels
like several ingredient mixes but doesn’t match at all. My friend finally gives
up eating and let me finish the rest… order oeuf mayo may be a better choice

terrine de foie gras: 8/10 (+60)
The foie gras has a bit of wine aroma, with balanced
seasoning. It melts in the mouths and full of greasy aroma that full of the
oral cavity, the flavor is long-lasting. It is accompanied by the orange
marmalade. But it isn’t the best choice to eat with the foie gras, and I think
berry-type marmalade will suit more.

bavette de boeuf: 9/10 
The steak is very juicy, strong meat flavor can taste the
sweetness of the beef. Medium is optimal, not overcooked, very tender and
smooth. The outside is crispy, I chat with my friend for an hour, in the end,
the outside is still crispy. The vegetable is normal but can feel the grill
charcoal flavor. The sauce is brown sauce gravy, increase flavor. The paste
with crispy bacon, shallot full of aroma, and special with the olive and the
sweetened chestnut, increase the texture and soft n smooth, the paste tastes a
bit sweet which make the dish balance and increase the complexity of the
dish.  it's really a great deal!

confit de canard: 6.75/10 (+ 60)
The duck confit is a bit disappointing, the meat is tender
but lacks seasoning. It didn’t meet my expectation that it's full of duck oil
flavor, the skin is better with duck greasy flavor, but not crispy. It works
better if the skin and meat eat together. The yellow marmalade is very good,
very rich, smooth and flavor explode also the purple berry jam, but they are a
bit too sour when matching the duck meat it isn’t that match when the meat
didn’t have any flavor.

crème brûlée fruit de la passion: 7/10 (+48 )
The crème brûlée doesn’t meet my expectation either. The
surface of the crust is too thick, it makes the dessert heavy, and it's too
sweet. The crème brûléeis liquid than the then previous one I had, the custard
is smooth and can see some vanilla seed, but the sourness and aroma of passion
fruit cover the milk, egg, and vanilla flavor. Overall, it feels like passion fruit
puree. It is a bit expensive for only 2 small pieces for 48 add in the lunch
menu. And I would recommend you try for profiteroles (not in a la carte) and
riz au lait. if you want to try for better crème brûlée, go for paul lafayet.


Red wine: 8/10 (+$68)
Very smooth and fruity, worth it (I don’t know much about wine haha)

首先一上枱就有Sourdough同牛油,老實講其實我食呢到就已經心滿意足。酸種麵包輕輕烘烤過帶點暖意,加埋又大又凍嘅牛油。仲可以無限refill,夾starter foie gras食一樣超滋味。另一款leeks其實所有材料都非常重,就好似啲leek嘅咸同勁酸嘅capers,但奇怪嘅係當你撈埋晒一齊,佢哋嘅味無撞埋一齊又帶點醒胃。

Cuisse de canard油封鴨製作方式以油浸再煎封,意外地係完全唔肥膩!而Tartare de boeuf 牛肉他他係一樣我以前抗拒嘅菜式之一,但唔知係隨著年紀口味變化定呢間做得好,竟然會一口接一口咁食,而配上嘅薯條係幼長款,新鮮好味,無得彈。

甜品嘅Creme brulee以百香果盛載,一啲都唔甜同超級香果味,好驚喜呢個!不過甜品係日日都唔同,要睇下大家好唔好彩遇到了。

食物環境氣氛都好唔錯,對Bistro有興趣的不可錯過

Their 𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙪 was in a really good price starting at 𝗛𝗸$𝟭𝟵𝟴 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 - 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 and 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲. We ordered 2 glasses of house wine 🍷 (Hk$68 per glass) at the beginning but sounds their waitress missed our order..

The food is great. That’s a no-brainer. Is it amazing and worth the constant interruption from the wait staff? No. Every 15 minutes (NO JOKE) a waiter would interrupt us to ask if we were done with a plate. We were reminded three times to leave the table by 2:00 - we said this isn’t a problem and even left before then. My dad did not even finish his coffee before it was briskly taken away and when I told the waiter, she laughed. A waiter asked my brother if he was done with his dish several time

I understand this is a popular restaurant. We were waiting to go and booked it awhile back, but the wait staff need to be trained so that they don’t interrupt every 15 minutes asking if we’ve finished this dish or that dish or this one or this, etc. It’s almost unbearable.

Booked this restaurant for Valentine’s Day and certainly with no regret! When I booked they offered only Valentine’s Day special menu. It was indeed a pleasant surprise that they offered a la carte menu on the day, and a selection of daily special menu, which were just amazing!

佢嘅菜式非常之有法國Bistro嘅感覺,食物係非常之好食,而且都幾大碟!我最鍾意係佢嘅龍蝦,煎得非常之香口,加上用嘅係法國龍蝦,好鮮甜!我朋友就鍾意佢個雞,個汁做得非常之好,香濃可口,襯起平時比較清淡嘅雞胸,係非常之夾嘅。但呢兩個都係佢嘅daily special,唔係平常嘅餐單上。
我哋仲嗌左兩個甜品,其中一個係熱情果口味嘅creme brûlée, 我覺得係有驚喜嘅,因為佢酸酸甜甜,同平時嘅cream brûlée 完全唔同,非常之好味!佢嘅酸味減咗油膩感!總括嚟講係滿足嘅一餐!

I have been to France many times and been to top Michelin restaurants as well as bistros. This restaurant reminds of the nice bistros in Paris which I have had before! We ordered a lot of dishes (as it is special Valentine’s Day!) and the portion of the dishes was on the large side. I like the lobster dish (which was a daily special) very much, it was a pan seared dish using blue lobster from France! The lobster was sweet and chewy which means that it was very fresh! And the chicken breast (which was also their daily special) was extraordinary too as the sauce goes very well with the chicken. Last but not least, their passion fruit creme brûlée was one of the highlights of the day, it was not over sweet with lovely passion fruit taste, and not too sour at the same time, which strike a good balance as I am not a big fan of dessert and this serves perfectly right for me. A great ending of a wonderful and special meal!

嚟到法國餐館點可以唔試吓蝸牛🐌,口感彈牙得來又滑,香港真係好少地方食到。
味道上,唔知大家有冇食過Pizza Hut嘅田螺,覺得調味幾相似,都係加上牛油、蒜蓉、香草,簡單但夠香,啲油用嚟點包食都好好味😋。

試過大大小小有貴有平嘅生牛肉他他,覺得味道其實唔會有太大差別,不過見到附近台台都有嗌,所以再試😂。
覺得特色之處係有成150g,而且牛肉粒比較大。另外調味比起一般食到嘅酸少少,應該加咗少少檸檬汁。
不過大致上都係同一般嘅差不多,好味但唔太特別,可以慳啲錢食佢哋其他更加突出嘅菜式。

個個都推介,果然極之好食😋😋😋!
每粒表面都煎得好香,內裏微生非常滑。
最出色係佢嘅調味,側面嘅泡沫奶香十足,浸透着黑松露嘅香氣,底下有一堆butternut南瓜蓉,極之香甜順滑,所有色彩加埋一齊非常夾!極度推介!

其貌不揚但味道甚為出眾😆。
牛扒揀咗五成熟,腍身帶有少少咬口,有牛香。
餐牌話用上松露醬,不過入口覺得更似甜甜地嘅紅酒醬,唔錯。
鵝肝份量都唔細,煮得剛剛好,完全係入口即溶,箇中鹹香昇華咗成個牛扒味道。
最大驚喜係側面嘅糖栗子,好香甜勁好食,配上少少順滑薯蓉,yum💖!!!!

💞整體來講
呢間法國小餐館真係一啲都冇令我失望,一路食一路驚嘆咁好味😳每一道菜都好高水準,味道配搭非常豐富,好味到會想再三回頭。而且以法國菜來講價錢都算相對合理,係十分值得試嘅法國餐廳💖。

The newly opened Bouillon is definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of French food! Tucked away in a small alley in Sheung Wan, Bouillon is a gem with a cozy atmosphere - although it was a little crowded, it had a vintage vibe because it had a b&w movie playing in the background throughout the day.

Their escargot was chewy and perfectly seasoned with butter, garlic, and parsley. The terrine de foie gras was fresh and went really well with the toast/Gelas Armagnac. The Coquille Saint Jacques had scallops, butternut purée, parmasan, and truffle oil - The flavors went together so well that we ended up cleaning out the whole bowl!

My friend heard about this restaurant and asked me to join her since we are both beef tartare lover. It was very wise that my friend made a book because the place was so pack. We started with the bread basket, bread tasted good. We both ordered a lunch set with beef tartare since it was our intention. We got the organic egg as starter and they were delicious! The classic beef tartare was amazing! It really made me very happy since it was in such a big portion. The texture was smooth and soft. I love it so much. The French fries were curly and crunchy. Matched so well with the tartare.

Egg mayo with truffles- they were quite generous with the truffles to be honest but I’m not complaining 🥰 The ingredients went perfectly well with one another and it was a great appetizer to start the meal!

Out of these two beef dishes, I preferred the beef tartare! The flowing egg yolk balanced out the saltiness of the raw beef and they together created a refreshing flavour😍
Actually the bone marrow wasn’t bad either but there wasn’t something special about it.

The eggplant ravioli was my favorite dish. The cumin in the sauce really stood out and it lingered on for quite a while in the aftertaste. The parmesan and chardonnay emulsion was quite light-flavored but very delicious indeed. LOVE THIS DISH SO MUCH!!

I’d expect the creme brûlée to have passion fruit flavour but I didn’t expect the creme brûlée to he inside a passion fruit 😂 Anyhow it tasted great with the sourness of the fruit and the sweetness of the dessert balanced out each other perfectly ☺️

Conclusion: A great place for a French lunch now that we can’t fly to Paris ✈️

Enjoying more than 3 hours French dinner before  curfew during Covid-19 . Fresh ingredients from France including Chef Johan. Great cozy dinner experience in the heart of the city of Sheung Wan. One of my best French Bistro in town! Recommend all the food in Bouillon!!!  Caviar pair with Bubbles, Escargot a la Bourguignonne, Coquille Saint Jacques, Terrine de Foie Gras, pigeon, and Creme Brulee Fruit de la Passion... !

Went for dinner. Wine list was good, but wine glass was a bit small (I’m no alcoholic but I had to order 3 glasses of red wine). Ordered the beef tartare, fois gras, scallops and pigeon to share between the 2 of us. -Fois gras came with figs. Normally I am a big fan of figs, but these figs lost their refreshing freshness after being mixed together in the sauce. - Scallops came with a surprisingly generous portion of truffle flakes, since the menu only mentioned using truffle oil. - Pigeon was di

-Fois gras came with figs. Normally I am a big fan of figs, but these figs lost their refreshing freshness after being mixed together in the sauce.
- Scallops came with a surprisingly generous portion of truffle flakes, since the menu only mentioned using truffle oil.
- Pigeon was disappointing. There was a not-so-fresh oily taste.
Ordered the cheese platter as dessert, but it didn’t come with any crackers or condiments. Lucky we still had some bread left.

Familiar flavor spotted at this new French Bistro. We found out the Chef came from Wanchai, and he served the same French dishes. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered, all super tasty and fresh. We also enjoyed the attentive service and cozy ambience. 😊Will go back.
