My wife is a lover of omakase, thus i will try to research for those nice Japanese restaurants from time to time. This time round, we planned to have dinner at Sushi Moon. It was located at Moon Street, between Admiralty & Wanchai MTR.They served ala carte as well as omakase set. For their omakase set, it consisted of appetizer, sashimi, sushi, grilled food, deep fried, cuisime and desserts. Grouper sashimi with fried mini crab - After we have ordered, they served us appetizers. Grouper sashimi was cut till very thin, and it was tasteless when ate alone. The sauce helped to enhance the taste and was chewy. Mini crab was fried till crunchy and crispy.
Oysters - Oysters were served in a huge size and was fat and big. Lemon juice was added into it, thus it helped to dilute the sea taste. It was very creamy and buttery taste, chewy as well.
Scallop sashimi - It was chewy and fresh in taste, and was thick in texture. A little bit of wasabi helped to enhance the taste too.
Tail ends of scallop sashimi was used to burn. It have a charred taste and was chewy as well. I preferred this version as it was more unique.
Toro sashimi - The portion was considered huge and cut into thick slice. It was delicious and being high fat in content, it was tender and smooth.
平鯛 sushi - There is a layer of pepper spread onto it, thus it has a peppery taste, slight spicy. 平鯛 was so soft, almost melting in my mouth.
比壳知 sushi - It was burnt before serving, thus it has a charred taste and very delicious. It was tender and soft, going well with the sushi rice.
秋刀魚 sushi - I was able to taste the freshness and was soft and tender, chewy as well.
Prawn with sea urchin sushi - I particularly loved this sushi as the prawn was sweet and fresh and together with the buttery of sea urchin, it make a good combination.
Toro sushi - It was very oily and soft, almost melting in my mouth and goes well with the sushi rice.
Lady finger - It was grilled till soft and smooth, chewing it easily. It has a light taste as well.
軟骨 dumpling - It was pan fried till soft and crispy and the bone was very chewy. The soy sauce provided helped to enhance the taste as well.
Boiled clams in soup - Soup was sweet and clear, served hot as well. Clams were big and juicy, chewy as well.
Fried eel - It was very crispy and chewy, fresh as well. I added a bit of lemon to strengthen the taste.
Matsutake rice - It was very fragrant and delicious, and the rice was sticky and chewy. Matsutake was fresh and smooth too.
Yakult sorbet - It was sweet and icy, with strong yakult taste. It helped to dilute off some of the smell during the meal.
