It was another wedding anniversary, so I chose Amigo from my shortlist again. As usual, the service was impeccable, the sommelier and the experienced waiters knew when to serve and when to disappear. The Bisque D Escargot was a bit salty but acceptable. Surprisingly, it was a very good match with the Sauvignon Blanc we brought there. The lime sorbet was refreshing as usual but it was definitely not my cup of tea (I know it is only my problem).
While we waited for our main course, the live trio asked me to pick a song but dramatically, nothing came into my mind at that moment. I tried to dig into my brain but embarrassingly, I was speechless but only capable of making meaningless sound like “er….”and “hm…..”s. Finally, I surrendered. I told them the occasion and let them handle the rest. The singer with the guitar nodded his head and whispered with his mates for a few seconds then they began to sing the song of “You're my everything”. Ironically, that was one of my favorite songs which fits the occasion perfectly too. In the end, I gave them a generous tip for their creativeness.
After the lovely song, the waiters served me with mutton and wagyu for my wife. The mutton was just good and made it a perfect match with my brought in 1999 Chateau Palmer. I did not try the Wagyu but according to my wife, it was made perfectly.
We completed our meal with Mango Flambee, Mango Napoleon and the aromatic coffee. It was such a pleasant night.
