Not sure why most Chinese dessert places serve only (say 99.9% of the time) black sesame tangyuan nowadays what I really want is PEANUTS.This tiny shop at Fortress Hill specializes in tangyuan and I went nuts seeing that they have the peanut version. Never mind on what the dessert soup base was (we tried the green bean soup, walnut soup and black sesame soup) because they all had too much rice blended into them, making them very thick and not as rich on the taste of the main ingredients.
The second I might into the peanut tangyuan, I felt like I was looking at them with the eyes of my 10 years old self.
The shop was managed by a quiet lady and a grumpy grandma. Be patient with them. They were very busy taking orders, scooping out the pipping hot desserts, getting you the bills and cleaning the tables for the guests lining up outside.
