I came here with my family one evening based on the ratings. They ordered steak (approx $450) paired with an additional salad bar ($150), while I ordered a truffle risotto (approx $284). The salad bar was alright, not bad but the steak and risotto was very disappointing. The steak didn't taste fresh and was very chewy, while the truffle tasted like dirty towels! The salad bar was alright, not bad but the steak and risotto was very disappointing. The steak didn't taste fresh and was very chewy, while the truffle tasted like dirty towels! I was very disappointed because the truffles should have been the star of the dish, but it tasted so bad I spat it out. It was inedible.. When I complained to the waiter about it, he said it's normal for truffles to taste weird. Then the waiter said it's because I changed from trofie to risotto, that's why the dish tastes off. I said the taste of the truffles have nothing to do with the risotto, the risotto tasted fine.
So then the waiter grudgingly took the risotto back to the kitchen, then came back out again in 5 minutes saying the chef tasted the risotto and said it tastes fine. I'm like, "Are you serious? Is the chef going to pay and eat the dish or am i?" So if the chef says his food tastes good, then it should be good? In the end, they returned the dish and I ordered dessert (apple crumble with vanilla ice cream). The dessert wasn't good either. I'm probably never coming back.
Service was awful, there weren't a lot of people at the restaurant, yet the food took forever to come. Plus, the waiters would argue with you about whether the food tastes good or not. Maybe the afternoon tea is better.
