New Japanese cafe alert in @taipomegamallhk! Elegantly designed with wood accents and dark teal seats, @choubo_kissaten serves up quality sweet and savory Japanese dishes at affordable prices. There was a long queue when we went (most possibly attracted by the opening 20% off like us), but fortunately we could distract ourselves by browsing through the miscellaneous goods on sale at the restaurant entrance. If you order any omurice, the waiter will cut open the omelette and pour sauce on top upon serving, so remember to get your phones ready. The crunchy zucchini and carrot dices in the fried rice had a nice contrast with the tender oxtail and accompanying veggies (eggplant, cherry tomato and pumpkin).Generously drizzled in a thick soy sauce that gave flavor to the fluffy rice, the massive boneless eel completely covered the thick block of tamago egg below. Yummy!The crispy fried chicken was drizzled in a thick sweet and sour glaze plus a thin tartar sauce, giving it a whirlwind of flavor. The refreshing cabbage shreds on the side and decorative chili threads on top added a finishing touch to the dish.Total cheese overload - besides the top layer, we were surprised to discover that there was melted cheese in the middle as well. The toast was thoughtfully sliced into three pieces and served with a side salad. Bonus points for the pretty parma ham flower!Lucky that we got our hands on the last caramel custard pudding, which was heavenly smooth, ultra creamy and topped with a huge cherry. Probably one of the best purins I’ve had lately. Unintentionally ordered color-coordinated drinks! These really exceeded our expectations - the rich sweet potato flavor went well with the milky foam while the grape and yakult was evenly balanced. 冇得去日本旅行 嚟呢間新開嘅「喫茶ちょうぼ Choubo Kissaten」就啱晒🧳裝修好有心思 配合番一年四季 而家門口就擺咗楓樹🥰佢地主打洋食料理 介紹咗佢地嘅鹹食先🇯🇵.📌炸北海道大蝦配四元豚豬扒 $145份量真係好多 豬扒好厚切 有六舊咁多🤤佢係用咗日本四元豚 豬味真係好濃🐷炸皮唔會好厚 炸得好香脆😍不過有燒汁同埋雞蛋沙律醬嘅位就會淋晒🙈個人鍾意炸蝦好啲🍤好大隻 肉質爽口彈牙 呢款都炸得好脆🤩配埋個雞扒沙律好夾😚.📌日式紅酒燉牛肉蛋包飯 $98應該可以成為招牌菜✨見每枱都會嗌👀用咗牛肋肉 牛味唔算好濃 但肉質軟嫩唔會太韌😋隻蛋係上枱店員喺面前切 打卡一流🙌🏻蛋係半熟 好滑都好重蛋香🥚入面個飯係炒飯底 完全唔𝒉𝒆𝒂🥳不過就略嫌佢太多汁 令飯粒唔夠爽口比較濕同漿口🙈但係個味係可以嘅😛.📌南蠻炸雞飯 $82定食會配飯同涼拌菜 但嗰日冇比到涼拌菜~試完炸豬扒炸蝦 當然要試埋個炸雞🍗三款最鍾意係雞🐔炸皮係硬脆𝒕𝒚𝒑𝒆 雖然雞肉唔係好滑好𝒋𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒚嗰啲 但成個口感唔錯😆.講完鹹食 就到最鍾意嘅飯後甜品🍮呢到嘅野食份量好大 想食甜品就唔好嗌咁多野食🙈.📌小倉紅豆·牛油厚切吐司 $75店員推介咗呢款𝒕𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕💕見好多人都嗌𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕好似都幾吸引 下次可以試吓😌吐司唔係烘到好似茶木嗰啲成舊脆 呢到淨係包皮好脆 入面就保持鬆軟🍞麵包幾有驚喜 濕潤度夠 外脆內軟 仲好香嘅牛奶味🥛面頭勁多紅豆蓉 仲有塊牛油🧈幾鍾意個紅豆蓉唔會太爛 仲有啲原粒紅豆 味道偏甜 不過係清甜唔會太死甜😎.📌伯爵茶戚風蛋糕 $38平時啲𝒄𝒂𝒇𝒆嘅戚風蛋糕都賣得幾貴 但呢間價錢平仲要好大件🤩蛋糕口感超鬆軟好有彈性🤣伯爵茶味唔算好濃 同埋都偏甜咗啲🤏🏻不過淋喺面嘅伯爵茶忌廉就好正😍好滑伯爵茶味都好濃☕️.📌特上玄米茶 $38個玄米味幾香 飲完仲可以叫店員加熱水😌.📌冷泡煎茶 $45茶底幾濃好消滯 配蛋糕食就最啱🍵 繼續閱讀
