初次寫食評!本身很喜愛麵食。亦喜愛烏冬。故一聽到有新烏冬店,即盡快來試食。在各種烏冬中,編愛冷烏冬,因其可感受到造麵師父用心造成麵條的嚼勁。當然現在麵條多是用機打制!廢話不說,今次試了蘿蔔蓉冷烏冬加溫泉蛋,天富羅蝦,茄子,明太子飯糰及豆皮壽司。主角,烏冬,麵身夠滑有嚼勁,驚喜之作,可惜溫泉蛋蛋香不足,有點失色。另外天富羅炸漿太厚太硬,可能食店作為自助形式,需讓炸物放久了還有脆品較果,不果肯定有很太進歩空間。另外天富羅汁太咸,建議只滴小許已夠味。明太子飯糰肉用料很多,沒有雪味,可惜飯本身太軟及紫菜已吸水氣,較為失色。最後豆皮壽司味道可以,內有芝麻,如豆皮用厚一點,及在飯內除芝麻外再加點料造成傳統五目豆皮壽司會更好。總括來說不過不失,但我還會光顧的,因為這價錢有一碗好的烏冬已經不錯!

今次食到黎尖沙咀試下呢間日本過江龍自助烏冬店由於好想食蛋既關係叫左個溫泉玉子湯烏冬另外再加左海鮮雜菜天婦羅朋友就叫左咖哩烏冬加炸雞埋單都係$106先講隻蛋 非常之滑流心做得好好!另外烏冬好彈牙 唔會食到漿住個口湯底係豉油湯底 個人覺得比較咸因為本身鍾意食得清淡少少下次會問可唔可以轉豬骨湯!天婦羅稍為多油而且係凍既 所以有少少失望順帶一提可以無限加天婦羅碎同蔥而且有免費水 仲有熱同凍比你揀Cashier 亦有支裝飲品同樣有凍同唔凍非常體貼

We saw this shop during our last visit to iSquare and decided to come back and try it. The store setup is very cute, somewhat cafeteria-like: pick your udon style, then self-serve tempura table (at additional price) and condiments. The udon looked very promising as it goes through a intricate boiling-cooling-reheat system at the counter. But somehow by the time we started eating, everything was barely room temperature. The udon looked very promising as it goes through a intricate boiling-cooling-reheat system at the counter.
But somehow by the time we started eating, everything was barely room temperature.
We even saw them heating up the bowl so the lukewarmness threw us off a bit. We think it's the soup that they added, it was pretty salty and perhaps only room temp.

Tempura were barely warm too
The self-serve system allowed them to cool off too much since they just sit in plates waiting to be picked up, heated platters might have saved the day... cold tempura is nasty since it's deep fried


I wanted a somewhat light lunch so I ordered the egg udon with a few veggie tempura. My husband had more meat items with his curry udon. Each tab came out to about 60-70HKD, which is a smart pricing model because you would walk in thinking each udon is only 30-40, then you get through the tempura counter where everything is 6-12, so it adds up quickly.

Overall another great concept without attention to execution. Just keep the soup on a stove and the tempura on some heated surface, the meal would have been perfect. Hoping things will improve.

美中不足係~豬肉片好碎的, 不過份量多,而且 醬汁味濃, (送飯一流個種), 真係好好食, 而口感較為硬身不是偏腍. 我對個汁好欣賞xd
烏冬嚼起來有口感,不太軟不太硬, 滿意的,而且份量真多. 食完好飽! 中size 200 g
小食方面: 炸魷魚蘇~ 敗筆係唔夠熱!! 炸野唔夠熱真係爭d, 可能我拎個陣得返少少啦~因為我見cfu 都keep 住炸緊,食唔到剛出既組~~ 粉漿有點厚, 魷魚蘇幾鮮味xp

Mr. Li
牛肉牛旁烏冬(大,另加流心玉子)
流心蛋真係做得好好! 係咁滴d蛋黃, 好正!
牛旁Mr.Li 唔食既~
牛肉醬鮮甜過豬肉片個個, 豬肉片係濃味多.
小食方面: 炸雞一客4粒, 不過不失啦~~好夠熱, 雞肉實淨有汁,大家都可以試

When I saw Marshy's picture of the tempura egg with runny egg yolk I just had to come here.
The main items they serve are udon and tempura.

I came here twice.
On my first visit I just had the tempura and omusubi, but they did not have the squid and seaweed tempura that day, so I came back another day for it.

Honestly I am not fond of the udon here because I only like the Inaniwa type which is slightly flatter and thinner, and the udon served here is the Sanuki type.

On my first visit, I did not know the tempura was self service and basically you pick from the trays what you want.

On the second visit, they did not have the tempura sauce because they said the customer feedback on the sauce was that it was too strong.
I believe they mean bloggers, anyway on my first visit when they had that sauce, they did not have any small dishes to put the sauce, so you had to put the sauce on the plate.

The prawn batter was nice and light and the prawn had prawn taste.
The tempura sauce tasted a bit like teriyaki sauce.
Since there was no dish to put the sauce, I put it on a spoon.

I wanted to try this on my first visit which was not available.
The squid was delicious, the batter was light and it was infused with seaweed powder.
The squid was nice and chunky too but not tough.

I do not like this type of udon but tried it anyway. It was quite soft and al-dente and the grated radish was really fine and silky.

Turtle Head is it's name, alright. 其實好 Hea 下. 那些 Age Dama 或 Tenkasu, 好明顯不是圓的. 原來只係炸完其他的天婦羅物後, 凈下的炸渣. 個心當場一浸.. .本來覺得這邊算幾平, 看來賴嘢的機會不什高呢. 不過加加埋, 原本只是三十幾的竟然會變到七十有多, 無錢找. 平價的烏冬店在日本很多, 只是幾百 Yen 就吃飽了會很滿足. 這間不是差的, 但炸物油淋淋, 烏冬發大到好像發水麵包似的.雖然也有少見的炸蛋同 Chikuwa 魚蛋, 不過不見到平常會看見的炸海鰻.  只勝在價錢上, 好明顯不是日本平價烏冬的水準。。

平價的烏冬店在日本很多, 只是幾百 Yen 就吃飽了會很滿足. 這間不是差的, 但炸物油淋淋, 烏冬發大到好像發水麵包似的.

雖然也有少見的炸蛋同 Chikuwa 魚蛋, 不過不見到平常會看見的炸海鰻.  只勝在價錢上, 好明顯不是日本平價烏冬的水準。。

Actually Merugame Seimen is quite a famous Udon Chain store in Japan ( mostly in West Japan), my first Merugame Seimen was in Shinsaibashi Osaka, when i was studying in Japan, Merugame Seimen is one of the cheapest yet Oishii restaurants for me! So i got quite a lot of memory for it!

The whole decoration is just same as Japan, they have an open kitchen and customers needa line up for picking the food,

So we just picked few different kind of Udon to share with each others!

No more in Japan! I think the soup is okay and the pork is quite soft too, but i think the egg can be more 流心, i expected more from the egg!! $35/M $40/L

醬油蘿蔔茸拌烏冬 It's not really my favorite coz I am not a big fan of this kind of white radish, My friend said it's okay with the lime, but i don't think it has any taste at all. I thought it's a cold udon but actually it's a hot dish!!$30/M $35/L

釜揚烏冬 This is one of my fav udon! Udon is put inside the warm water and then you needa put it into the cold source before eating it, it's kinda of a mixture of hot and cold, the texture of udon is not too soft, I hate those texture that taste like mochi once u put inside your mouth

冷烏冬 My friend just hate hot udon coz he thinks udon has to be cold! WEIRDO!! The source tastes quite different from the other Udon restaurant and they said they have a secret recipe in making the source, I guess they put quite a big portion of Fish soup inside (鰹魚汁}, The udon tastes harder than the hot dish and I quite like the source tho! $25/M $30/L

Of coz, the taste in Hong Kong is not as good as in Japan, but I think with this reasonable price, it's quite Okay! And I think besides the bread in panash, it's the cheapest restaurant in isqaure! There's no more $20 sth ramen or udon even in TST!
So I think i will come again neeee!!!!

這裡單是烏冬都有差不多十二款, 烏冬當然只有一款, 就是讚岐的, 不同的就是湯底, 要冷要熱, 有沒有生蛋或溫泉蛋之類的. 而且亦有分中及大碗, 價格只相差五元.

跟師傅說要哪款烏冬, 他便會即煮給你. 等個2,3分鐘便完成. 速度都相當的快.
跟著便可以前來炸物區夾上自己喜歡的食物. 這裡的配料主要以炸物為主, 而且款式還算幾多, 大約有十多款. 基本如炸蝦, 野菜天婦羅等都不缺. 少見一點的如半熟蛋天婦羅, 紫菜魷魚天婦羅等也有, 看起來都幾新穎.
如果仍是不飽的話, 這裡也有單賣腐皮壽司及飯團等, 吃上2個必定能飽肚.
飲品就單調一點, 只有2款樽裝茶. 不過這裡也有自助的開水供應, 吃起來不會太DRY.

選好所有食物後就來收銀區付錢, 之後再可以自行繼續添加調味料.
調味料如日本一樣, 也有蔥粒, 天婦羅脆粒及薑茸自助. 宅女不吃蔥和薑, 當然沒有加那2種了. 反而天婦羅脆粒倒是下了不少. 不過看這裡的脆粒沒有日本那種炸得粒粒飽滿脆口, 有點失望.

醬油有2種, 分別用來點天婦羅跟鳥冬. 其中鰹魚醬油是用在烏冬上, 但其實如果點有醬油口味的烏冬, 宅女覺得巳經很夠味, 不用再多加, 否則會有點咸.
自助形式的永遠都是令人興奮的, 宅女可以想吃什麼夾什麼. 最後夾了一大盤回來.
餐廳地方都算幾寬敞, 有半梳化位, 亦有二人及四人位, 這個時間人不多, 我們可以買完才去找座位.

我選的是溫泉蛋熱烏冬 (大: HKD$38)

大的話份量適中, 我是胃口大一點的女生吃完就約8成飽. 不過其實我看友人的中烏冬, 份量好像跟我的差不多, 可能只差幾條份量而巳. 湯底巳是醬油味, 所以也不用加其他醬油也很夠味了.
先把蛋打散混在烏冬內, 吃一口, 烏冬不算熱, 只能說是暖口. 讚岐面條偏粗圓身, 入口質感不太實, 吃起來沒有如想像中煙韌, 也吃不出麵粉香. 比起在日本連鎖店吃到的仍是有一大段距離. 溫泉蛋都幾大顆, 一切開蛋汁便四處流, 但蛋味不太濃郁沒什麼蛋香, 不過跟醬油和天婦羅脆粒混起來時, 湯底帶點黏稠度, 醬油都幾香不會好咸, 加上脆粒同吃有點香口, 味道屬OK的.

雖然烏冬內巳有一隻溫泉蛋不過看到這個很好奇又點了來試試! 份量都幾大隻, 外皮炸得金黃, 不過未吃一夾巳覺得有點淋. 一切開內裡的蛋汁便全流出來, 且更帶點者喱狀的蛋黃, 蛋白亦幾柔軟. 內裡口感還可以, 不過蛋味仍然偏淡, 而且外皮好淋有點硬, 吃了內裡的蛋其實不太想吃外面那層皮.

頗長的一條炸蝦. 這個外皮就炸得比較好一點, 油份不算多, 吃起來還帶點脆口, 但尾尾的部份仍是淋了. 內裡的蝦肉其實不算粗, 肉質不算十分彈牙但起碼不會覺得梅. 蝦味當然是沒什麼了, 不過感覺以這個價格來說要求當然不能太高, 整體算OK.

魷魚鬚天婦羅 (HKD$10)

HKD$10居然有3大條魷魚鬚看起來又幾抵. 不過外皮巳放淋了, 完全不脆的, 這款炸漿都幾厚. 內裡的魷魚鬚其實算幾粗大, 魷魚味道本身偏淡一點, 可惜肉質好韌, 費盡牙力也咬不開. 而且這款碗底都幾多油, 吃了2條其實巳很想放棄.

這款算是比較令人滿意的炸物. 沒有像魷魚鬚那樣一大條咬到牙也掉, 用上切粒形式再沾上海苔碎拿去炸. 脆漿不太厚, 油不算多, 入口還是帶有點點香脆感, 魷魚粒有嚼勁但不會好老, 肉質算彈牙, 加上海苔味道濃郁, 吃罷口腔還帶著點點海苔味. 但雖一缺點是很多粒都會黏著一起成了一大舊, 要費點勁才能撕開.

埋單HKD$82, 一碗烏冬再配上4款炸物, 價格其實算合理不太貴.
不過食物質素就麻麻地, 烏冬沒預期的好, 炸物大部份更是偏淋.
但以在尖沙咀區甚至在ISQUARE內, 能找到這個價格的食物, 當然也不能要求太高了.
可能剛開業的關係吧, 希望店方會不斷改進令水準更加好吧.
