Went to FUMI last night; looking for the same old good food, good atmosphere after a long break from having an opportunity to dine out; unfortunately, the FUMI I experienced last night felt like a completely different FUMI… the food was mostly underseasoned, the seaweed on the Sushi was soggy since the sushi chef decided to cut corners by serving everything we order in one go; instead of serving the sushi when it is still fresh; and then there was this 'I think' new front dining room Manager wit

Went to FUMI last night; looking for the same old good food, good atmosphere after a long break from having an opportunity to dine out; unfortunately, the FUMI I experienced last night felt like a completely different FUMI… the food was mostly underseasoned, the seaweed on the Sushi was soggy since the sushi chef decided to cut corners by serving everything we order in one go; instead of serving the sushi when it is still fresh; and then there was this 'I think' new front dining room Manager with a wicked gold / white-dish hair dye. He was kind enough to offer us free drinks but it felt like he was having a better time when drinking with us and he certainly was having a real good time with a pair of guests from another table. He kept introducing his staffs to this pair of guests which I think is ok; but eventually, they were so loud at one point I felt like I was sitting in Karaoke / a pub where people are playing drinking games. All-in-All, it was such a terrible experience that my friends and I will not go back to YUMI again. We may still give Kyoto Joe a shot since it is under the same dining group but definitely not FUMI
