If you are looking for an easy day at the beach with family or friends, this is a great choice for your base and an easy lunch.The location is perfect, right on the beach, and they provide all the food and drink, so you needn't bring much with you.I do not work here, nor have any association with the place - just a regular satisfied customer!Directions - To get there, take the ferry from Central to Mui Wo, then any bus from Mui Wo to Ong Ping, Tai O or Tung Chung and get off at the Bui O Public

Directions - To get there, take the ferry from Central to Mui Wo, then any bus from Mui Wo to Ong Ping, Tai O or Tung Chung and get off at the Bui O Public School stop. Or take a taxi.
OR take the MTR to Tung Chung then the bus towards Mui Wo and get off at the Bui O Public School stop. Or take a blue Lantau taxi.
Then walk down the road about 5 minutes towards the beach, and the restaurant is just at the end of the road.
Overview - Enjoy your morning and/or afternoon playing in the waves, rent a surf board or just hang out building sand castles.
Then have lunch and/or dinner - simple western style beach-side food - fish n chips, homemade chicken sticks, spaghetti, vegetarian dips, etc... good food for the kids and adults. There is no air conditioning, this is an open air restaurant, right on the beach. They do have fans, and a water cooler for unlimited drinking water to help cool you down.
Food - My son always goes for the spaghetti, while my daughter and I really like the dips/tapas that come with vegetables and some bread. My British husband of course goes for the fish n chips.
Service - The service is 'beach speed' - ie a bit slow, but, you didn't come to the beach for fast service, you want to relax Orders can take up to 30 minutes, so plan to order early when they are busy.
View - While the food is good, and the service is friendly but beach-speed, the best thing of all is the location - right on the beach, with great views, and that is what you are paying for.
Conveniences - Located next to the public beach means you have access to showers/toilets too. It really makes for an easy day out.
Hints:
If you do go for lunch, try to place your order early as they get busy.
When you leave, it can be a long wait for a taxi, so plan on the bus
