They likely had a cancellation this day and with the whole August full, they had one slot left on a Sunday in August so I booked it immediately.They allowed unlimited refill for the beverages. First came the "elegant surprise", which was a chicken puff with truffle. The pastry was warm and flaky and the fillings were creamy. The tea sandwiches came next. It was definitely a colorful and appetizing presentation. My favorite would be the salmon with its strong flavors without being too salty. Next

Next came the scones and madeleine. The madeleine was warm and moisy. I felt the powdered sugar on top of the scone may not be necessary as there was enough sweetness already from the jam. The orange marmalade was exceptionally good here with the right amount of sweetness, tartness and bitterness.
Finally all the desserts came. They were all superb and with the Black Forest being the best. However, one problem of serving all their sweets at once was that you gradually can't differentiate the flavors too much as they are all sweet. Despite your stomach may not be full, due to all the sugar, you get very satiated. Overall, the afternoon tea was excellent though maybe they can try to serve the sweets/savory alternatively.
