We took the Restaurant Week set lunch a few days ago.   The lunch was started with breads which were very dry and hard.  The main courses shown on the Restaurant Week menu included beef ribs and cod fish.   However,  when we were there, we were offered a different menu and did not have these courses.  Instead,   chicken and/ barramundi were offered.   Since I booked the lunch based on the courses offered, I felt being cheated.  What is worse is that,  the barramundi is from local farm.   Its tex

The whole meal was very disappointing, and completely different from the meals we had last time which were so much better.
Regarding the service:  the waitresses there always walked around us but never checked whether we need more water.  They seemed not trained.   On the other hand, the waiters provided much better service.

We happened to try their collaboration with @esteelauder_hk For this special tea set, there were four fixed pieces. Balik Salmon, Comté Cheese, Hibiscus Grapefruits Gel and Black Rice Chocolate. All very well balanced and flavored. We can then choose four pieces of savory and sweet items each. We basically tried all on the trolly. My favorites include Caviar Mille Feuille, Foie Gras

Finally able to get to try the afternoon tea at the Drawing Room. It’s a lot easier to book now. We happened to try their collaboration with @esteelauder_hk

For this special tea set, there were four fixed pieces. Balik Salmon, Comté Cheese, Hibiscus Grapefruits Gel and Black Rice Chocolate. All very well balanced and flavored.

We can then choose four pieces of savory and sweet items each. We basically tried all on the trolly. My favorites include Caviar Mille Feuille, Foie Gras Rose, Octopus Tartine and Cannelé. Their two flavored scones were very buttery too!

Overall, very good quality food. Just that they iced tea tasted like water 😅 The set also comes with a facial cleanser and eye cream sample! Such a great deal!

Price: HK$600 pp (afternoon tea)

嘩!前菜沙律份量十足,沙律十分新鮮,牛油果口感軟滑,加上嫩口的三文魚和爽口沙律菜,味道清爽淡口,感覺輕盈。

自選rose cheesecake 同St Regis rice pudding ,cheesecake玫瑰味唔係好重,反而係清清地玫瑰味,同埋佢結構上cream cheese比重多啲,所以食落輕盈啲

不過今次對佢哋scone有啲失望🥲有少少overbake咗,食落有啲鬆散同唔夠牛油香

最深刻好味既係Rose Cheesecake Rose,最唔好食係Taro Tasmanian,全部都唔會過甜,Lemon Madeleine出面有一層好似冬甩個種糖霜,幾正,Cannele外層比較硬身,St. Regis Rice Pudding朱古力味濃郁,好似食緊Haagen dazs甘。

Located within the luxurious five star St. Regis Hong Kong, The Drawing Room features grand interiors decorated in classic Edwardian style with opulent furnishings and chandeliers. The restaurant is very popular for its Afternoon Tea and it is difficult to book a table during that time. The beef tartare was an exquisite creation. The beef was accompanied by crispy potato shoestrings which provided pleasing textural contrast while the homemade vinaigrette artfully united the components into a cohesive whole. The portions were judicious, allowing the complex flavors of the raw beef preparation to unfold without culinary fatigue.

The fish fillet had been perfectly seared in butter, resulting in a crisp yet moist exterior yielding to a succulent and flaky interior. What impressed us the most was the deftly balanced reduction of champagne and yuzu which elevated this simple fish preparation to gastronomic heights, simultaneously enriching and brightening the dish.

The pasta was cooked to perfection, neither too al dente nor overly soft. The exquisite sauce of sea urchin and semi-dried tomatoes imparted umami richness and depth of flavor that complemented while not overwhelming the other high quality ingredients. However, it was the blue lobster tail that truly elevated the dish. It was delicately poached to achieve perfect texture and aesthetically arranged atop the pasta, contributing a delicate yet distinct briny flavor.
