The champagne taste was evidently strong and on the poster it says the alcoholic content is 11%, so one cup of that is equivalent to a glass of champagne.
It had bitter strong champagne taste and the texture was just like sorbet.

As they have just opened, they are have having some teething problems with the softserve.

Passed by this newly opened ice cream resto on the way to dinner and was intrigued. Lab Made was right around the corner. So Soft Creme's ice cream must be of comparable quality, we thought, or else it wouldn't have dared open shop here. 

Deliberately decided not to order cake after during dinner, expecting to be blown off our feet by this chamagne ice cream, specially made from this premium milk from Hokkaido?

Environment:
Color scheme: monochrome. Just like any other froyo place. Less than 8 seats. 

Ice cream:
I still haven't completely understood the menu. There's 2 bases I think - plain Hokkaido milk, champagne (they say it's "Moet", seriously...? How much would you have to charge per cup for the actual flavor to come through).

You can also go for a (himilayan) salted chocolate "crust" option - the last dunk - not sure how they charge you for it...And there's other toppings to choose from. Honeycomb, macarons, cinnamon...not entirely sure how they charge you for that either. 

Anyway. We got these plain base + salted chocolate ones...:

Flavour: nothing special. I could've paid much less for a MCDs soft serve. I would've been happy. Himalayan salted chocolate - Himalayan or not, because I like chocolate, and of course salted chocolate, this little bit was enjoyable. I would concede that the milk flavour was a bit stronger than the MCD soft serve. I give it that much. 

Texture: Far, far too soft - very watery, couldn't stand the test of heat at all. But note that it was 9pm already. How long would it survive during the day..? Totally unacceptable. To prove my point here's a photo of what our desserts looked like within 3 minutes of the first bite:

Yes, looks really sad. A pool of tears. 

Determined to make the most of the $42 we dolled out for this epic fail dessert, E and C tried to drink the rest of the 100% melted ice cream (i.e. sugared milk). It was a pathetic scene. Unfortunately, we could not drink the sugared milk from the cup because of the cup's construction: it is dual-layered - a large outer up and a smaller inner cup - there's a small gap between the outer cup (holding the dry ice and inner cup) and the inner cup (which comes into contact with the ice cream) so when we tried to drink the sugared milk, the melted dry ice water mixed with the sugared milk and it tasted...sobad. Unpotable. Had to spit it out. 

You get the point. 

And don't be deceived by the size of the outer cup. No, you're not getting that much ice cream. You're only effectively getting half of that:

Conclusion:
Making a run for Lab Made next door. There is also the trusty 7-11 nearby, stocked with HD ice cream sandwiches. Quality guarantee. Sorry Soft Creme, you gotta do much better to lure me through your door again.

I've first read about Soft Creme from people's photo tag on instagram, and this ice-cream shop was so new that it wasn't even posted on OpenRice back then so I googled on it to get the address.  One day Missy Mo and I decided to go chill at Tai Hang, and Soft Creme immediately came into my mind.  We grabbed a quick bite then came here to check it out.  Probably because it was still new and not alot of people knew about it yet, there wasn't too long of a line-up.  Ice-cream numbers 1-4 were made

We were watching the food experts preparing the cups behind the counter and thought that we gotta try the Australian honeycomb next time.  Meanwhile, I also kept glimpsing at the cute cashier guy while waiting for our ice-cream... ;P

They put dry ice at the bottom of the cup underneath the ice-cream to prevent it from melting too quickly since it's "soft" ice-cream and not the usual ones you take out from the Park n shop freezer.  I tried to take picture of the smokey effect (oooo, spooky) but was a tad bit late.  Anyway you get the point, I think the dry ice was just another gimmick but in terms of taste, the ice-cream was indeed very soft and was surprisingly good with the bacon bits.

I went to Tai Hang again the following weekend but this time there was a long line-up outside the shop, and I'm never a fan of queues PLUS the cute cashier wasn't there this time...I will be back.

店員先在杯子的下層加了點液體,做成乾冰煙霧瀰漫的夢幻效果,又可以避免雪糕融得太快,這是每次去lab made的煩惱,影相慢點雪糕都融了。soft serve很light很滑,真的吃到粟米片的味道,好surprised
 加上煙肉碎,竟是出奇地夾,精采的配搭,俘虜了我的味蕾,很想試勻所有味道。

服務很好,店員很passionate,主動介紹,見到食客影相,立即拿出soft creme的紙板作背景之用。大坑又一後起之秀,相信soft creme的知名度很快會提高。

香檳雪糕,味道突出!

質感有點像雪葩,幸溶化速度較雪葩要慢很多,而且更幼滑!

吃畢,口腔留香,佈滿芬芳!

雪糕杯底另藏的乾冰除了把冰感保存,

更重要是,拿著雪糕拍照時大量輕煙湧出,讓人感到既新奇亦刺激,

若雪糕份量再多些(內藏的冰格佔了容器一半空間!)

笑容會更甜!

現在唯有安慰自己少吃多滋味吧!嘿...

KsMeow覺得日本清酒也跟雪糕很配,期望她家會多推新口味,

擇日再來刺激一番!
