好朋友生日,疫情下想搵個舒服整潔的地方,慶祝一下,就想到交通便利的尖沙咀,近地鐵站的Holiday Inn。食自助餐,似乎又太瘋狂了,於是我們揀了一個折衷的semi buffet。主菜中我們可以選擇,豚腮肉配巴馬臣意大利粉、香煎鯰魚柳配雜菜、豬肉腸雜菌薄餅和燒豬柳配紫馬鈴薯。咁當然頭盤和甜品,就自助形式仼食啦,基於種類繁多,我都不能一一在此盡錄了,就影多啲相片,俾大家慢慢欣賞下究竟有咩食呢!以尖沙咀一間酒店,半自助餐形式,送埋咖啡或茶,都不過200多元,簡直是超值了。

呢間意大利餐廳,我細細個就已經好鐘意食!而家搵到一兩個錢,就到我請家人食喇雖然半自助餐十分出名,不過因為工作關係,所以都比較夜到餐廳,於是我地就散叫算了。由於我地都好鐘意食芝士,所以一見到有芝士拼盤就立即order!雖然侍應好好心咁提醒我地,芝士拼盤其實係甜品黎㗎,但由佢啦,當頭盤都一樣得姐仲記得餐廳大多數意大利麵係自家製,所以就叫埋牛肉闊條麵同埋焗千層麵!先黎一籃麵包,熱辣辣,配合橄欖油同黑醋,無敵!芝士拼盤一到,侍應就4款芝士逐一介紹,可惜我聽唔明又唔識串啲意大利文聽唔明就唔理啦,即刻食!4款有軟有硬,最軟嘅應該係羊奶芝士,有個發霉嘅應該係blue cheese,另兩個一硬一半軟,唔知係咩呢個人最鐘意半軟果款,香濃芝士味加有啲似煮溶芝士嘅口感,正!其他3款都唔錯,鐘意芝士嘅朋友唔好錯過!牛肉闊條麵食得出自家製麵,好重粉味,牛肉霖,配合汁上面嘅芝士碎,一流。焗千層麵又係有大量芝士,極度懷疑酒店啲芝士唔洗錢!新鮮熱辣焗起,味道唔錯,不過肉就比之前度闊條麵硬,無計,此終係焗。最後,鐘意芝士嘅朋友一定要黎食芝士拼盤!係酒店食,個拼盤都只係$104好抵

龍蝦意大利飯意大利飯煮得剛好,不過檸檬汁味好重,略嫌有少少蓋過左龍蝦味。Parma ham pizzaparma ham, rocket salad, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese批皮薄又脆,材料十足。香草加拿大牛柳medium真係煮得剛剛好,肉非常稔,烤薯仔都好好食。肉醬千層麵肉醬係由牛肉同豬肉整,食到牛味好濃,個煲好似煲仔飯個煲幾特別。因為慶生日,餐廳俾左間房我地,仲係黑板畫左Happy Birthday,好有心思,服務態度好,有機會會再黎。

不一會,我點的薄側面牛排主菜送來了,牛排切開三件,放在露筍上,很有層次感和藝術感,擺盤不馬虎。牛排泛起油光,陣陣肉香飄進鼻腔,令我十分期待。用刀叉揭起一件牛排,可見它鮮嫰粉紅,顏色迷人。入口軟滑無渣,肉汁豐腴而味道濃郁鮮美,配上芥末醬,微微的辣味刺激味覺神經。配菜的青露筍是我吃過最粗壯的,感覺爽脆,而馬鈴薯燒得甘香。

最後,怎少得甜品呢,套餐的甜品是意大利芝士蛋糕,但我對芝士蛋糕沒甚興趣,詢問侍應後,原來可以轉為雪糕的,令我喜出望外。服務員送來了雪糕,一共有兩球,真的是雙重滋味。左邊的雪糕球到我吃完後都不知道它是甚麼味道,我真失敗。右邊的是榛子味,味道濃郁,口感軟滑。吃過甜品,清清味蕾,感覺心滿意足。

大多數客人都會選擇自助頭盤,無他,選擇夠多,不單有辣肉腸、醃茄子、巴馬臣芝士、火腿配哈蜜瓜、水牛芝士配車厘茄、露筍、田園沙律及煙三文魚,作為頭盤,已經足夠有餘,如果對頭盤無興趣,亦可選擇椰菜花茸湯。

首先是吞拿魚、黑水欖、蕃茄汁螺絲粉,很喜歡螺絲粉有嚼口,而吞拿魚肉碎上,正好令每口都帶有魚肉,雖然不至於有驚喜,但簡單得來找不到挑剔的地方。

魚類方面有炸鯰魚配扒蕃茄及炒西蘭花,鯰魚扒炸得香脆可口,尤其是脆漿夠薄,炸得色澤金黃,油份亦不過火,真係好啱小朋友,個人覺得可以加多少少薯角或薯條,畢竟份量有點偏少。

肉類就只得烤羊扒配雜菌及燒馬鈴薯,共有三件細size羊扒,羶味不太重,但烤得過熟,肉質有點韌,主菜中稍為失色。

既然是意大利餐廳,主菜中當然少不了薄餅, 有燒豬腮肉、雞蛋、佩科里諾芝士薄餅,餅底是人手即場搓製,外型未夠混圓,而且部份邊位烤至焦香,反而顯得誠意度十足,味道及口感正宗,不錯。

另一端的自助甜品區,有新鮮的菠蘿、西瓜及蜜瓜件,另外有 Tiramisu 、Cheese Cake 及草莓蛋糕,反正是餐後甜品,數量當然不能跟Buffet 相提並論。

套餐亦包咖啡或茶,配上甜品當然要來一杯伯爵茶,淡淡的佛手柑香氣,正好清洗味蕾。

refreshment points for merchants wandering the earth looking for trade deals
later becoming  meeting places for social
mingling.

Starting from the 15th century, the Osteria became more and more numerous, a
meeting place for citizens and intellectuals to debate and discuss current
political and social ideas. Even in recent times, many osterias can be found in
Rome, where i grew up, places where you are sure to find enjoyable food and
local table wine. Here you can find the "oste", owner, manager or
also chef of the establishment if needed, entertaining the guests while
handling the restaurant operations.  My
memory back to my younghood and is so beautiful remember my city when we use to
say “The Capital of World “. Its is to smell the scent of history surround
you. Something to see an try in Rome. 
In Hong Kong I can relive some of these memories at the
Osteria inside the Holiday Inn. It was not exactly what i expected but overall it
was a good experience. This restaurant is a standing landmark in the TST area
for almost 10 years, sign that chef Paolo is doing wonderful job in the kitchen
despite the last difficult years in Hong Kong. We found a good environment,
with a friendly welcome from the staff and amazing open kitchen where you can
find Chef Paolo taking care of the operations on the front line. Beautiful
view. We decided to go for set lunch with buffet. The buffet was good, little
bit less than what we expected. Parmesan cheese came in a half wheel for
customer to carve and fresh asparagus was very good. Other items in the buffet
were of average quality. Cold cut section was including 3 different choices.
Cheese section with parmesan cheese and 2 selected soft cheeses. We were a
little disappointed about the main course offered with the set lunch. I choose
pizza and my friend ordered chicken, both of them good quality, but I do
believe even for set lunch pizza should be coming in normal size, maybe with
less choice of toppings . Both of them were a very small portion instead.
Dessert buffet was also offered, but the choice available was a bit poor, with
tiramisu, pannacotta, fresh fruit and some cookies. The quality of food was
overall quite average. We were expecting more for the level of this restaurant
and for the price paid for the set lunch. My humble suggestion: Chef
should add some food from Roma to be given some idea of what Osteria truly means,
 in order to be able to convey the right atmosphere and peculiarities to guests,

This is a semi- buffet dinner with a selection of 1 main course from the main menu with a choice of 4 (beef, seabrass, pizza or hand made pasta) which also came with a basket of bread. The buffet selection includes crab legs and a large selection of cheese. All taste alright. We enjoy the Tiramisu the most which came with the set dinner, it was well coated with coco powder, few layers of ladyfingers with whipped cream. It is definitely a well apapted version and tailored for the people in HK as it is not too sweet and eliminated the use of rum. Taste well and suit all ages. Note: If you are looking for a genuine version with something sweeter and heavier that has the taste of Mascarpone cheese with Baileys, suggest to look elsewhere.

A cozy, relaxing ambiance, the tables are not exactly spacious but good enough for the two of us. The restaurant offers a dinner menu which seems to be a good deal. However, as we want to try a few signature dishes we opted for a la carte instead. They have also a tuna promotion and we opted for a few dishes too.

For starter we had the Carpaccio di Tonno, Caviale, Finocchi Croccanti, Maionese et Tartufo ($258). Very beautifully plated in a ring shape, the tuna carpaccio is added with some caviar, crispy fennel, and truffle mayonnaise. The caviar added a bit of salty savory to the fish, and the mayonnaise has a nice truffle note to blend everything together. A good appetizer.

Next we had the Ravioli Ripieni alla Mousse di Tonno, Broccoli Saltati, Calamari ($258). The black ink ravioli is filled with tuna mousse, with some small broocoli, squid, and sun-dried tomatoes. The texture of the ravioli is good, with a nice chewy bite and the fillings nicely seasoned, with a bit of spiciness which made the ravioli even more appetizing. The squid is tender and not rubbery, and the tomatoes providing a bit of sweet and sourness to make the dish more complex. Another good dish.

Each of us decided to order a soup, with me going for Zuppa di Pesce ($138). This traditional seafood soup in spicy tomato broth is very good, served steaming hot, with a rich tomato taste integrated perfectly with the seafood broth. It was one of the best tasting soup I had for a while, no-frill, authentic and bring about a sense of comfort. The touch of spicy is spot on too. The portion is also very big, and drinking it all can fill one pretty quickly. My only critic is the server messing the plate a bit and damaged the presentation but overall the taste is phenomenal.

My wife had the Il Classico Minestrone alla Genovese ($118). The classic minestrone from Genova with basil pesto is green in colour, with a lot of vegetable so making the soup super filling. With the big portion I would not be surprised that for many people finishing this soup will mean there is no room for other dishes.

Trying the pizza from the stone oven, we ordered the Pizza, Speck, Scamorza, Funghi, Tartufo Nero Fresco ($248). The white pizza has smoked ham, scamorza cheese, mushroom, and black truffle. The crust is nice, with crisp edge and a good bite of the right balance of chewiness. The toppings are great, with the ham and mushroom each bringing their flavors to complement with the rich black truffle note. A very good pizza and prompted me to want to come again to try another of their pizza.

Already very full, I opted for a simple dessert, Sgroppino di Prosecco al Limone ($88). The glass of prosecco wine is smoothly blended with lemon sorbet, with the nice acidity of the lemon sorbet a good match with the prosecco, leveraging the bubbly wine to give further refreshing and vibrancy to the dessert. A creative one to serve the sorbet instead of just a scoop with garnish.

The overall service is good, with the staff friendly and attentive. All the dishes are quite big in portion and with the bill of $1218 it is good value for money too. If you like a decent, no-frill Italian meal this place is a good choice.

Went there for dinner with family and the food quality of the set dinner menu was like a roller coaster. Apperizer (7/10) was a semi-buffet with quite a wide selection of mixed quality seafood, cold-cuts, salads and vegetables. Food items were generally OK. Mains (5-6/10) are selection between beef, fish and hand-made pasta. We tried all and all were average. Beef was not tender as we expected, fish was overcooked, and pasta was very lack of flavour. As the pandemic situation seemed to be subsiding, we tried the semi buffet lunch for the first time. Food and service were value for money as we enjoyed a discount of 33% off with a membership card. It was pleasing to see customers wearing a mask when they went to grab food at the buffet tables, which helped maintain good hygiene. We all picked grilled salmon as our main course and it was served beautifully.
