Good place to have an informal, yet polished bite with clients, colleagues or acquaintances. I came here for lunch and it was fully seated in the dining area and only the bar area is available. Luckily, I have booked seats in the dining area.

The lunch sets are around HK$280 with 3 courses, and additional HK$38 needed for coffee or tea. The price range is expensive, but it seems to be the norm after the upgrading work done by Pacific Place, most of the restaurants are in this range after they have invited new joiners to their mall.

This pizza tastes uniquely – there are some vegetables with flavour on top of the pizza and gives a very interesting refreshing taste to diners. The crust is very crispy.

As an Italian restaurant, they also serve bread to diners. The bread choices include hard and soft.

Homemade Fettucine (HK$180)

Another main course we have ordered Homemade Fettucine with traditional Southern Italian Meat Ragout. The portion is super small but the taste is good.

In general, this restaurant provides decent environment and energetic service to diners. Yet, the portions of dishes are not proportional to the price.
题外话/补充资料: Try to ask for a sofa seat when you book this restaurant!

We went to Operetta for the first time for a try. Remember, this place used to be Dan Ryan's, a fantastic restaurant we went to countless time. Well, Swire decided to replace an authentic, great restaurant that had run for 30 years, with this new offering. Service is good but place was half empty. We ordered meat ragout fettucine (190) and a four cheese pizza (220). Both were so so, and the portion of pasta was so small it looks more like the idea of an appetizer. When we ordered, we were pushed non stop to go for the priciest stuff on the menu, the white truffles nonsense (920 or more). Total rip off, apparently the clientele mostly comprises people who have so much money they dont care wasting it on this. Will not come back.

今次寫既係office樓下新開無幾耐的意大利餐有Wagyu Takumi既總廚做... 顧問而呢間餐廳既總廚係一個年輕既意大利人點左三道菜去試Fried Japanese Cuttlefish ($75)幾好食 而且炸既食物一定好易入口 只是略嫌太油廚師可以吸走些少油先上碟Artisanal Linguine with King Prawns and Thyme Emulsion ($180)份量ok 味道和賣相也不錯King Prawn係比想像中少 但太古廣場收呢個價格 份量差唔多架啦 最後就加左個Signature Burger ($160)都做得唔錯 好多時做Burger只顧裡面牛肉既質素呢個Burger 牛肉唔錯 個包都唔錯!總體黎講,整體算係不過不失啦服務幾好 食物唔錯既 但係無驚喜如果唔係office樓下 未必會特登過黎食但整體都應該係俾個哈哈笑評分!

What really caught my eyes about Operetta in the first place is the name of their culinary director, chef Mitsuru Konishi, formerly of 2-star Michelin restaurant Wagyu Takumi which is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. From the décor, I thought this is going to be a fine dining restaurant but they're definitely not kidding when they said casual dining. Just look at my appetizer - deep fried chicken wings with sesame seeds and dried chili.

It was a little difficult working on those three chicken wings on such a small plate with my fork and knife. But somehow I managed to "debone" each and every one of them. This was very tasty. The seasoning was a little on the heavy side but I like it especially with the added flavors from the dried chili.

It was a tough call between their artisanal spaghettini and pan fried cod fish but at the end, I decided to go for something from the sea. This was a similar type of black cod fish I had at CIAK In the Kitchen a while ago. They were serving it with a celery root purée and brown butter sauce which was an excellent choice.

The 2-course set was well priced at $260 ($65 to add a dessert). Not too shabby for an upscale Italian restaurant in the heart of Admiralty. I'm already planning to bring mom here on my next visit.

今天同hubby 試試新餐廳,之前試過星級總監的法日式料理主店, 覺得非常好,留下深刻印象,今次試試他在這店設計的菜式。餐廳採摩登型格路線,座位舒適寬敞。午餐有兩個courses$260, 可另加$65 dessert ,同另加$30 咖啡或茶。麵包很新鮮,充滿氣孔,十分軟熟,沾上彩瓶純香橄㰖油,充滿意大利風味。Appetiser: beef carpaccio with green salad生牛肉薄片顏色紅潤,薄薄的透出底下配菜的綠色。肉味濃郁而富有肉汁,輕輕的用上citrus同olive oil, pepper 等調過味,味道剛剛好,恰到好處,是食過之中最好味的cappacio.Mixed green salad vegetable虎蝦中等size, 肉質吾係好爽,味道比較淡,配上爆汁車厘茄同柚子沙拉油,感覺淸新,味道立即變得好夾,沙律菜很新鮮,而沙律汁帶柚子香。Pan fried cod個鱈魚魚好好食!肉質非常滑溜,充滿魚的油脂,魚皮微焦,脆脆的!而薯蓉十分香滑,混合魚肉同忌廉泡沫汁同吃,感覺非常creamy 而帶魚香,非常不錯!Half roasted spring chi

Appetiser: beef carpaccio with green salad
生牛肉薄片顏色紅潤,薄薄的透出底下配菜的綠色。肉味濃郁而富有肉汁,輕輕的用上citrus同olive oil, pepper 等調過味,味道剛剛好,恰到好處,是食過之中最好味的cappacio.

個鱈魚魚好好食!肉質非常滑溜,充滿魚的油脂,魚皮微焦,脆脆的!而薯蓉十分香滑,混合魚肉同忌廉泡沫汁同吃,感覺非常creamy 而帶魚香,非常不錯!

Hubby order 的烤春雞,皮脆肉嫰,皮下一點肥膏也沒有,但卻十分tender 同juicy! 春雞用上香草調味,加上鵝肝松露汁,既有香草味又有鵝肝的味道,令平曰味道比較單薄的春鳮,味道變得十分豐富濃香,正!

Tiramisu 十分美味,D mascarpone cheese像泡沫般輕,入囗即溶,拌上脆脆帶咖啡味的lady finger,香口的nuts 同榛子味雪糕,簡直是味覺三重奏!比傳統版的tiramisu 更好食!若果份量大少少就更加滿足了,現在有D意猶未盡的感覺,是必點之選!

我喜歡 Focaccia 鬆軟富彈性和鹽香的味道,而老爸則認為法包夠香脆,所言甚是,極之認同!結論出兩款麵包的質量也很高,各有優越之處!

老爸和我選擇飲用餐廳提供的清水,而老公因好奇挑了瓶裝的 Cortese Lemonade 一試!平日我喜歡濃香與重酸度的檸檬飲品,但 Cortese Lemonade 偏偏來得相反,那種口味彷彿是站在意大利高山上,被微風吹拂遠眺海灣的清幽與舒暢,別有一番味道!

「Operetta」的餐牌分為幾大類,如 From the Sea、 Side Dishes、 From the Land and Air、Pasta、Not to be Missed、Hot Bites 和 Pizza,亦有獨立的套餐餐牌,最後我們決定嘗試 Ala Carte。

Mac & Cheese 是 Not to be Missed 的選擇,老公第一時間便選上那邪惡的 Mac & Cheese 了!究竟這個 Mac & Cheese 有何不能錯過的特質?或許先從食材分析,選用了意大利半軟質的 Taleggio 芝士、Parmesan Cream 和意大利不經煙燻的 Pancetta 煙肉。味道方面,它是我嚐過眾多 Mac & Cheese 中最柔和與及最不膩人的,當中亦帶有淺淺的酒香,與一向 Mac & Cheese 的形象有著一段距離!

簡單來說,Artisanal Linguine 是一道蝦的扁意粉,可見由 Mazzancolle 大蝦細切的蝦粒,同時亦伴有櫻花蝦,味道柔香細膩,伴著具嚼感的扁意粉,整體令人滿意,倘若熱度可再提昇的話,效果會更佳。

老爸愛魚,特意挑選了 Sauteed Cod Fish 給他!這道魚菜式看來簡單,可是當牙齒觸碰到魚皮及魚肉,便當知其美妙之處!深黑的魚皮鬆化香脆,魚肉細嫩、彈性及魚脂同樣豐厚,伴以獨特的柚子汁,潤滑甜香,譜出與魚肉和而不同的風味,可見廚師在配搭和煮功上的用心!

Scottish Lamb Cutlets HK$360

老公和我本想一試 Pizza ,但老爸卻心儀羊扒,於是要來了 Scottish Lamb Cutlets。羊扒帶有桃紅的迷人色澤,可是肉質未達預期的細嫩,且稍欠彈性,反而醬汁帶有醒胃的微酸,口味較為創新,如果羊扒能放點點鹽巴調味,醬汁與肉味兩者配合起來,應該相當不錯!

盛上番紅花的圓管麵美感十足,眼睛隨即感到一股盈盈的暖意。

嚼感與彈性極之豐富的圓管麵,叫老公和我也咀嚼得特別起勁,只難為了老人家的老爸,他有點吃不消!至於味道,Artisanal Half Paccheri 不至於火辣辣的刺激感,但那種辣椒的鮮香倒別樹一格,令人留下深刻的印象!

這趟味遊意大利,嚐到非百分百傳統,但帶有個性的菜式,部份雖有點點未完美之處,但從仍在試業中的「Operetta」,已可吃到他並不平凡的根底,相信在本月13日開張的大日子,定能盡善盡美!

藉著跟老爸味遊意大利,兩父女可重溫溫馨的相處時刻,不過我更期待與老爸一起旅行的大日子!

今晚同家人到金鐘PP覓食,一入商場都見到有幾間新食店,最後比二樓一間望落幾有格調既餐廳吸引左,被安排坐梳化位,入面全間啲凳橙橙綠綠,仲有天花板啲燈泡光圈,好似玩緊飛越太空山坐落即有暖暖麵包送上,岩晒當時肚仔打鼓既我,一共有四款,最鐘意用軟軟果款包點橄欖油食。順便一提個樽原來係放橄欖油,枱枱都唔同款,見到隔離枱係七色彩虹樽,羨慕菜牌上除左一般意食之外,睇字面就好多都有日本元素,心諗唔通係意日fusion菜?經過侍應耐心推介後,終於揀好今晚晚餐了。等食期間點了一杯青檸雜果無酒精飲品,味道好清新而且好開胃聽下音樂傾下計,前菜就送到啦。好壯觀一二三四熱辣辣齊齊上,岩晒開心share,有日式炸魷魚,炸蟹餅,八爪魚小卷,鵝肝多士。魷魚被薄薄脆漿包住,外脆內軟好香口。蟹餅內見到一絲絲蟹肉好鮮甜,同埋有啲沙律醬夾住食唔覺漏。八爪魚小卷就普通左少少,有啲韌。鵝肝超正好肥美入口即溶,夾埋脆多士食好有contrast,連怕熱氣既我都忍唔住食抖一抖突然有位侍應捧住大木盤上菜,仲有年輕外藉經理講解一番,原來係侍應推介既招牌菜紅蝦。食法都幾講究,用刀叉輕易將蝦肉挑起,好鮮味有口感,岩岩熟所以完全唔韌,蝦頭膏多到流

抖一抖突然有位侍應捧住大木盤上菜,仲有年輕外藉經理講解一番,原來係侍應推介既招牌菜紅蝦。食法都幾講究,用刀叉輕易將蝦肉挑起,好鮮味有口感,岩岩熟所以完全唔韌,蝦頭膏多到流出黎,用小匙更一啖啖㗳好滿足,仲夠用埋多士塊點黎食。好有蝦多士既童年回憶,加上有西餐既新鮮感覺,就連媽咪都讚不絕口👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

之後再到主菜環節,蟹肉意粉,Parma ham芝士薄餅,香煎鴿肉,同埋好有外國情懷既牛骨髓。意粉有咬口煙煙韌韌,蟹肉痴住麵條食好好味。薄餅咸香脆口,用料十足,最重要係餅邊唔會過燶到味道變苦,岩番香港人口味。鴿肉扒好淋好滑,塊皮有少少焦糖同個汁都幾惹味。之前食法菜就食得多牛骨髓,估唔到依度都有,配上果醬菠菜仲有脆脆(一問之下完來係炸豬皮),好夾好有層次,滑~脆~咸~甜~酸~好得意

食到飽飽,但女仔點少得甜品作為晚餐既完美句號。我揀左朱古力榛子批配番石榴雪葩,同埋靚仔經理推介既淡芝士批配雜莓。朱古力好滑身又有卜卜脆底所以口感豐富,配合酸酸甜甜既雪葩balance番。而芝士批真係一大驚喜,好creamy而一啲都唔覺膩,仲有啲果醬伴食,係今晚一大亮點

Finally more lunch options in Admiralty! First of all, great service from all staff, very friendly We ordered a 2 course lunch set - salmon for main & panna cotta for dessert. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a combination of new flavours. The panna cotta was good but missed the wow factor, expected a bit more with this price tag. Overall, glad to have another lunch location

We ordered a 2 course lunch set - salmon for main & panna cotta for dessert. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a combination of new flavours. The panna cotta was good but missed the wow factor, expected a bit more with this price tag.

Overall, glad to have another lunch location

I had dinner at the recently-opened Operetta in Pacific Place. I was looking forward to trying this new Italian restaurant. Service was very good and friendly but unfortunately that was the only good part of our dinning experience: the food was very disappointing: the pizza reminded us of California Pizza Kitchen (but not as good) ($160), the pasta was pretentious and the heavy sauce was not that tasty, the expensive Iberian pork shoulder ($370) was the biggest disappointment: the meat was not t

The restaurant was quite empty and everyone seemed to be ordering burgers. We should have probably done the same...

With this price point, better to dine at other venues like the continental, Cafe Gray, Plat du Jour.
