Munch is one of the few good restaurants in HK. When I first came here, very few people knew this place, the restaurant was always empty, I never had to book a table. But now, after 2 years, this little restaurant is always full, many that come here are regular customers: foreigners, young and chic people, and people who like good food.People told me that the owner is a chef that has stayed in France and Aust/NZ (forgot which one) for some time. For the quality of food that it offers, Munch is pretty cheap. All the things are pretty much 5 star hotel quality (if you take away the luxurious unnecessary ingredients). no additives (I hate additives without seasoning), real cooking and real food. I'm generally too disappointed with the HK-style restaurants here, so much additives, extremely bad ingredients (e.g. no fresh cream for pasta, use chinese mushroom etc), you just need to produce mediocre quality food and no one can taste the difference.
If you are picky about food (with reasonable price), Munch is definitely an oasis in HK.
