I had a pretty positive experience at LA Creperie the other week. The food selection is good, offering a range of different crepe combinations, and particularly good if you don't feel like having something heavy or too stodgey. For starters we chose the Shrimp Salad. (Judging by the size of it when it came out it was probably meant to be a main course... but no matter.) We were pleasantly surprised that it was well-balanced, with equal measure of each ingredient and not overflowing with "fillers"

For mains my date and I chose La Capitaine (scallops) and La Gabier (lobster). I felt that the sauce accompanying the lobster was a little too rich for my taste, but I enjoyed the scallops a little better; more delicate flavours and less "in your face". The crepes themselves were done rather well and not too bitter/wheaty (for want of a better word), which you seem to get with crepes.
For drinks the manager (or at least who I assume was the manager) warmly suggested a cider for us. It was just right - neither too sweet nor too dry.
The waitress who served us was very friendly and *always* had a warm and caring smile when she spoke to us - something which can be, surprisingly, difficult to come by in Hong Kong. The manager also came to check up on us halfway through the meal and was extremely polite and welcoming, making sure our food and drinks were to our satisfaction.
By the time we finished our meal we were the last ones in the restaurant. We felt no pressure to leave or feel rushed to pay.
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at LA Creperie. The food was good, but what I felt really left a lasting impression was the service, which made for a pleasurable dining experience.
