第一次同甜魔既約會, 真有點緊張...我比約定既時間早到了點, 原來她們大部份都到齊了Yan仲預先為我們留起想食既cake, 因為接近尾聲, 餘下只有幾款呢 …..Decadence PortionTiramisu PortionPear Caramel Banofi Cupcake Warming Heart 共有6 款cake, 共中Pear Caramel 係自己比較喜歡,有層次感,;而且因為有充滿Hazelnut,香味, 是眾多中最凸出之選 ! 其他賣相一見流, 但味道不凸出,只是比較普通點, 但以一間cyber feel 既酒店賣30 多元一件cake, 倒是抵食的, 建議有心要早點去, 先會買到心頭好架 ! 甜魔唔夠, 再戰下場 ~~~ 好開心, 因為甜品而識到了幾位食家, 請多多指教

共有6 款cake, 共中Pear Caramel 係自己比較喜歡,有層次感,;而且因為有充滿Hazelnut,香味, 是眾多中最凸出之選 !

其他賣相一見流, 但味道不凸出,只是比較普通點, 但以一間cyber feel 既酒店賣30 多元一件cake, 倒是抵食的, 建議有心要早點去, 先會買到心頭好架 !

甜魔唔夠, 再戰下場 ~~~

今次又進攻另一甜品店,與Yan一早到步,看見只賣剩了三款餅,我們最期待的兩款已一早沽清,真是大失所望,唯有立即留起剩餘的:Tiramisu-三款中較淡味的一個,所以第一時間食,味道真係好淡,芝士味、咖啡酒味全完不夠,似是一件普遍的慕絲蛋糕。Pear Caramel-慕絲、蛋糕及脆脆,入口時層次分明。大家認為最好,再追加多一件。Decadence-鏡面純黑朱古力包著輕柔軟滑的慕絲,內藏著紅莓的微酸,有一種甘與酸的對比。而cupcake的賣相也很誘人,再要兩款:Banoffi的主角是香蕉,不是人造的香蕉油味道,而是很天然的蕉味,十分之討好。Warming Heart看似是普通的朱古力cupcake,原來隱藏了辛辣的刺激,難怪註明是chili truffles,味道頗特別。大家也不夠盡興,商量是否要多一個whole cake之際,最後還是決定轉戰去Pokka。侍應哥哥很值得稱讚,當我與Yan正等其他人時,他主動獻上朱古力給我們試食;我們又要求想食Yamm的甜品時,他又很殷勤地遞上餐牌給我們。

Decadence-鏡面純黑朱古力包著輕柔軟滑的慕絲,內藏著紅莓的微酸,有一種甘與酸的對比。

而cupcake的賣相也很誘人,再要兩款:
Banoffi的主角是香蕉,不是人造的香蕉油味道,而是很天然的蕉味,十分之討好。

Warming Heart看似是普通的朱古力cupcake,原來隱藏了辛辣的刺激,難怪註明是chili truffles,味道頗特別。

大家也不夠盡興,商量是否要多一個whole cake之際,最後還是決定轉戰去Pokka。

侍應哥哥很值得稱讚,當我與Yan正等其他人時,他主動獻上朱古力給我們試食;我們又要求想食Yamm的甜品時,他又很殷勤地遞上餐牌給我們。

Streusel (Earl Grey) Cake Matcha Mango Duo Cafe Latte (including Complimentary Chocolate)I personally think the Earl Grey Cake was lacking in tea flavour and slightly too sweet but I like the crunch bites which gave it a great texture.Matcha Mango Duo is great in both presentation and taste! I never knew green tea and mango would make such great match. the brown-ish stick-like above the mango are chocolate which was very smooth in taste too. I think it would make a great birthday cake Cafe Latt

Matcha Mango Duo is great in both presentation and taste! I never knew green tea and mango would make such great match. the brown-ish stick-like above the mango are chocolate which was very smooth in taste too. I think it would make a great birthday cake
Cafe Latte was nothing special and to my opinion, slightly overpriced for $55. However, it came with four petit chocolates so i guess that was justified.

食完Yamm高水準甜品後,對Coco的甜品質素已經不會有所懷疑了。未能同一眾甜魔來橫掃甜品,先同好友來小試牛刀,果然經歷不凡。  以黑色/Cyper為主題的Coco十分摩登型格,一到埗即見滿佈各式誘人的甜品/cupcake/朱古力的showcase,十分吸引。場內約有十多個位,說多不多;主要圓型的seating area雖然吊腳,不過有放腳位都算好坐,燈光也有利拍攝。而且我懷疑知道此地的人不多,難得cake shop內十分靜局,很適合女生自由談天!  在多款甜品中,我揀了Matcha Mango Duo,入口即感受到濃濃綠茶香,然後慕絲層又十分細滑,加上中間栗茸羹極之甜美,是色香味俱全的精彩之作,令人視覺、嗅覺、味覺都得到滿足。好友揀了Streusel Portion,味道介乎於奶茶與朱古力之間,最特別是Earl Grey奇香味突出,加上富有榛子甜香的脆餅底,又一件出色的甜品。 甜品價由$30起,雖堂食設加一,以質素計仍非常超值;飲品就較貴,不過酒店咖啡$55都算很合理,我與好友對今次的悠閒寫意時光都十分滿意。很期待下次同大家來掃更多甜品,到時我一定要重溫Yamm那款超美味芝士餅!

With its success with 'a la minute' International fare at Yamm (and widely popular spot from openrice fans too), The Mira, a name borrowed from Latin that means "Perfection, Peaceful and Prosperity", is here to introduce you a new brand of hotels. Coco, the new patisserie tucked on the side opposite of Yamm, is here to impress with its small but delicate selections of sweet indulgences that will knock the wind out of your creative minds.

Coco's decor implies a new cool form of designs, with its silver-and-purple lighting centerpiece and surrounding designs created by renowned designer Colin Cowie (who is the mastermind behind the makeover of the entire Mira). Pastries and chocolates are presented in a black and glass case much like a jewelry box. On one side is the chocolate section, with 5 flavors of specialty chocolate 'brick' measured 5cm by 5cm blocks. Each brick is made of tempered Belgian Varlhona chocolate with special flavor elements. Coco's signature include 85% chocolate brick, the liqorice-lemon with white chocolate and a Hazelnut chocolate brick. The Liqorice-Lemon is a fusion of the East-West by combining liqorice with candied lemon peel, chopped and incorporated into white chocolate and cooled. The beige concoction melted in your mouth as the lemon tang touches your tastebuds. Then it slowly diminishes leaving you with a special treat of a liqorice aftertaste.

If chocolates at Coco fail to impress, there is no way you are going to miss the cupcakes, as I consider them fashion icons of Coco. 6 flavours each day as 16 different flavours rotate daily. Each with a different name and elements to the very detail from unique flavor combination to each cupcake's artful architecture. They are edible artforms that please the palate as much as your eyes. WARMING HEART is currently a bestseller here. Featuring a chocolate cake with a molten chili-truffle filling inside of each cake and topped by a chocolate and Kalamansi topping. The first forkful sets of the alarmingly dark chocolate pairing with a sharp tang of Kalamansi (a form of Citrus fruits, most recognized in XTC Gelato's Sorbetto). The chilled cupcake yields a warm liquidy filling like lava and the 'warming' part burns from the throat up as the heat from chilies. The chocolate-chili brings a two way punch that offers remembrances of Mexican chocolate. Other favorites include BLACK PEARL (Black sesame cake with sesame croquant filling and a topping combining Wasabi and white chocolate), MANGO MARGARITA (Vanilla and Cointreau cake with Mango puree, topped with Mango and Tequila Mousse), and AMANDINE (Almond Cake with Apricot Marmalade filling and a quenelle of Chardonnay Cream to top), and PINEAPPLE DAQUIRI, pictured here (Lime Cake with Pineapple Marmalade filling and Jamaican Rum Topping).

Louis Ma, the Chef behind these artful creations offer mastery use of liqueur in these cupcakes by matching them with elements we are familiar with but seldom think of them as matches. The unlikely combos of blueberry and mango in GO BERRY, strawberry, Walnut and Bailey's in STRAWBERRY SILK, or even Candied Lemon peel with Basil and Raspberry in SIAM DELIGHT...are all sensational flavours I have only heard in hip cocktails but never in edible forms. Perhaps Coco is incoporating its hipness by joining the cupcake makers in Hong Kong with a new breed of adult-indulgences?! Other cakes include a popular HAZELNUT DELICE, a hazelnut mousse supported by caramelized hazelnuts and topped by a chocolate lattice across, and a two-toned Blueberry Cheesecake topped with blueberries that double the size of the kinds you get in supermarkets. Staff at Coco are attentive as they informed me that any cakes that are available in smaller servings (excluding cupcakes) can be recreated in one-pound form, costing $230 - $270 for the entire 8-inch cake. Not a bad deal for a hotel patisserie.

Drinks menu present a trick for Coco. Coffees are from $22 for single Espresso to $44 for Large Mocha. But that's the to-go menu. Make sure you place your order as the to-go size instead of the staying in size. The stay-in beverages cost more with just one-size. Even though it's not exactly the right time to pinch pennies, I strongly suggest the extra bucks go to an extra cupcake or maybe for further funding on a next piece pastry. But if you notice close enough even in-shop plates and mugs are designed by UK Interior design Guru Andrew Martin. Speaking of turning a new leaf for the Mira...even the cups and saucers are sparkly and 'brand' new. You've got to admit that Coco does have its drawbacks, as the Croissant retains its flakiness over time but holds on candle with buttery taste as the ones at Mandarin Cake Shop in Central, but then, who's here to have Croissants when its specialty isn't there?

I strongly urge advance phonecalls to check out flavour availabilities on the chocolates or cupcakes before you set foot in the new hotel, as Coco does not play favorite and can be very casual when you call. (After all Coco opens at 7:30 in the morning and closes at 8:30 at night). If you feel like you have a moment to spare the seating is rather comfy, and there is Internet access if you absolutely must get connected rather than immersing yourself in yet another blend of foreign musical beats and well-thought services of coffee and cake.
