This joint has some seriously delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Although their menu is small, everything is created with so much passion and true understanding of Vietnamese ingredients - it tastes just like the dishes I had when visiting Ho Chi Minh City earlier this year!!My absolute favorite is their Banh Mi - nothing can compare in Hong Kong. My absolute favorite is their Banh Mi - nothing can compare in Hong Kong. Their meat to bread ratio makes all the difference as there is no skimping on ingredients and they even make their pâté from scratch!

They also serve a variety of noodles soups. My go to: Bun Bo Hue - can eat this everyday. Soup base was refreshingly flavorful, nothing I've had in this city, and an absolutely generous portion of perfectly cooked beef cuts and more. A small joint, but would recommend it to any-and-everyone who likes the real deal Vietnamese food!!!

Nice new Vietnamese joint with a good vibe. Ordered:1. Bun Thai. The winner of this dish was the soup, but there was not enough of it, and the noodles were undercooked. There was plenty of everything else in the bowl but I ended up just drinking the soup and not consuming much else besides the prawns. If the noodles were spot on I would have given a 7.... 6/10.2. Bun Mam. The noodles were also undercooked and the soup didn't seem to have a theme to it. 4/103. Spring rolls. Not bad but it defini

2. Bun Mam. The noodles were also undercooked and the soup didn't seem to have a theme to it. 4/10
3. Spring rolls. Not bad but it definitely smelt better than it tasted. Fried quite well. 5/10
4. Baan Mi (pork roll). Every one I've had in Vietnam was very spicy but I guess this isn't Vietnam. Still enjoyed it. 6.5/10.
5. Vietnamese drip coffee. Reminded me of Ho Cho Minh. 7/10.

Ambiance: 6.5/10
Value for money: 4/10 (it was pricier than I thought)
Overall rating 6/10

I will admit that my review may be bias because my favorite Vietnamese dish Bun Bo Hue was not being served even though it was on the menu on the wall.

Being a regular to Vietnam means it's hard for me to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine anywhere else, and I have rarely found a Vietnamese restaurant outside Vietnam that matches what I eat from Ho Chi Minh in Hong Kong.

So worth a visit if you like Vietnamese cuisine. But if you are a regular traveller to Vietnam, it may be not be for you.

Stumbled upon this newly opened restaurant before it's official launch. Dinner: (1) bun mam (the "Vietnamese gumbo", a seafood vermicelli served in a fermented fish soup base) - most viet restos focus on the popular pho noodle soup (Phobar, Brass Spoon, BEP, etc.) but not many offer up the other tasty noodle soups from Vietnam...this bun mam was jam packed w plenty of seafood, a fragrant soup base and al dente noodles, but I found the soup a bit on the sweeter side and would have preferred stro

Dinner: (1) bun mam (the "Vietnamese gumbo", a seafood vermicelli served in a fermented fish soup base) - most viet restos focus on the popular pho noodle soup (Phobar, Brass Spoon, BEP, etc.) but not many offer up the other tasty noodle soups from Vietnam...this bun mam was jam packed w plenty of seafood, a fragrant soup base and al dente noodles, but I found the soup a bit on the sweeter side and would have preferred stronger savoury flavours...still delicious though!; (2) banh mi - don't think there are many spots in HK that put so much meat in their banh mi's like this place does and all of it was wrapped in a fresh and slightly toasty baguette...it would have been even better with a greater spread of the pate.

OVERALL - decent.
SUGGEST - bun mam (the bun thai's soup base was much too light), banh mi was alright too.

How I rate: awesome > decent > meh > terrible.
