Chaiwaka 位處中環雲咸街，是一間走高檔路線的印度菜，店內裝修華麗有氣派。這天中午前往點了個Express Lunch Set，主食有雞魚羊及素菜供選擇，而其他的配料都是一樣的。而我選的是雞肉($148+10%)，Butter Chicken口感豐富，雞肉經過炭烤後帶有淡淡的煙燻風味，雞肉與濃郁的特製的醬汁完美地融合在一起，每一口都能品嚐到濃厚的層次感。Chicken Tikka擁有獨特的香辣味，雞肉經過多種香料的滲透，使其具有濃郁的印度風味。Dal Tadka 混合黃豆與奶油、孜然籽等香料，口感非常順滑。印度薄餅鬆軟可口，而印度米則粒粒分明。能充分吸收各種印度醬汁的美味，令人回味無窮。最後還嘗試了一下印度的甜品Gulab Jamun，它是粒啡色圓形的糕點，口感像浸在糖水裡面淋了的蛋糕。這個對於我來就實在太甜了，不太懂欣賞。整體來說這次品嚐的印度菜飯整體表現相當不錯，以這個價錢來說份量相當大，值得一試。

Chicken Tikka擁有獨特的香辣味，雞肉經過多種香料的滲透，使其具有濃郁的印度風味。Dal Tadka 混合黃豆與奶油、孜然籽等香料，口感非常順滑。印度薄餅鬆軟可口，而印度米則粒粒分明。能充分吸收各種印度醬汁的美味，令人回味無窮。


最後還嘗試了一下印度的甜品Gulab Jamun，它是粒啡色圓形的糕點，口感像浸在糖水裡面淋了的蛋糕。這個對於我來就實在太甜了，不太懂欣賞。整體來說這次品嚐的印度菜飯整體表現相當不錯，以這個價錢來說份量相當大，值得一試。

除咗咖喱以外有一系列tanddori菜式，呢款烤免治牛肉條加naan嘅配搭幾新鮮未見過😯炭燒味混和些微膻嘅牛肉味同香料味，加上底下鬆軟嘅naan都幾好食😋😋

呢度嘅naan都有幾款揀，牛油naan鬆軟，帶麵粉香；黑松露naan真係有好多原片黑松露灑係面，不過黑松露味就唔算強。

最後當然要叫個甜品😝印象中對印度甜品都覺得太甜好難接受，好彩呢度都有啲正常甜度嘅甜品🤪呢個奶凍好香滑，側邊脆脆嘅crumble同酸酸咪咪芒果嘅配搭，好食👍🏻

    Visited the restaurant last weekend to speak to the person in charge to hold n event for a silver wedding anniversary. First was given all the wrong information about the menu. The person in charge got in touch during the following week. A complete stuck up manager at the restaurant in charge of event management . Didn’t agree to anything I wanted as part of the change in the menu as a vegetarian. Made my wife and I wait for almost a week and despite our several reminders and chasing her up, she

Didn’t agree to anything I wanted as part of the change in the menu as a vegetarian. Made my wife and I wait for almost a week and despite our several reminders and chasing her up, she finally responded with the same stuck up menu and approach. I wonder when will these guys ever realize that there are gusto who will come in all sizes and budget and whether you can cater to them would depend on your restaurant policy and flexibility. We met the General Maanger who passed a sarcastic remark that no one in the industry can revert to you in 2 hours about a change in vegetarian menu. The entire ethos of their brand motto “ to ensure we give every guest a memorable time” forgot to mention it could go side ways as well that welcome to the restaurant of hell on planet earth.

    One of the worst customer service experience and most incompetent staff. This is what happens when you give a restaurant like Chaiwala for a bunch of clowns to run it for you, it becomes a circus and the menu becomes a porridge.

    I would not recommend anyone to even in their wildest dream to ever approach this restaurant for a party. The management simply does not seem to care and has treated us in the same manner and just left us hanging dry with our request for so long and our week before turned out to be a complete futile exercise,

    What turns me off is rude people, what turns me off even more are incompetent staff on the floor of a service provider. Chaiwala lives up to its name which is a tea staller on the roadside of India where you will get zero service, the best tea for the cheapest price and the worst customer service, 

    This restaurant has really,lived up to its name…

    One of the worst and  review will keep reflecting on all major sites in all major platforms all,over the world. If you guys want to have a event ruined than contact Chaiwala even before you can host an event they will ensure it turns out to be a failure on their part and incompetency….

      小編一開始睇餐牌都唔知自己叫左啲咩😂 原來pani puri係一種印度脆餅，係一個薄脆嘅球體，入面包著一啲孜然味嘅鱧魚同埋薯仔🥔 整體黎講酸酸地都幾開胃✨ 同埋佢嘅擺盤都幾精緻，打卡都幾適合📷

      ➺ ALOO TIKKI CHAAT (4/5)

      哩個就係一個香料味非常重嘅炸薯餅，再加左唔同嘅配料，包括洋蔥🧅羅望子✨ 鷹嘴豆等等🤍 同埋佢嘅蜜糖乳酪醬都幾輕盈，整體都係一個好有印度風味嘅前菜🇮🇳

      ➺ PINK SALT SALMON (+$30) （4.2/5）

      哩個三文魚食落去真係幾有驚喜😍 因為佢火候控制得好好🧡 唔會過生，切開竟然係粉紅色😍 食落去又好Juicy❤️ 再加埋喜馬拉雅粉紅岩鹽同埋辣椒牛油果chutney🥑 小編誠意推薦大家一試❤️

      上枱嘅時候真係嚇親小編🙀 因為佢嘅羊腿真係好大份🙀 羊肉仲要係經過八小時慢煮🐑 羊肉入口好軟，一切落去啲肉已經離曬骨🦴 羊肉唔會太騷，整體都係好香好好食🤤


      ➺ OLD DELHI BUTTER CHICKEN (4.2/5)

      Butter Chicken相信大家都食過，哩個Butter Chicken嘅口味比較溫柔，唔會太刺激🥺 個汁Creamy得黎 番茄味都幾出🍅所以唔會唔夠太膩🔥 加埋Naan一齊食就真係Perfect 啦😙

      其實喺中環哩個地段，哩個味道、哩個環境、哩個價錢小編真係挑剔唔到間餐廳🥺 整體餐廳格調cozy，店員服務態度良好，份量又大，價錢又唔貴，下次有機會小編一定會encore 🥰🥰 建議大家都係lunch 去食因為真係超級抵～

      Coming through the distinctive red entrance door, we walked down the stairway to arrive at Hugger Mugger the British salon. It is Chaiwala behind the bar, we were escorted through spaces backdropped with the Indian hustle and bustle. The hue and vibrance of India were superbly resembled by the furniture and decorations. For persons not familiar with or well developed in Indian cuisine appreciation like me, I found all dishes fascinating and I have enjoyed my time here with the friendly and atten

       The set commenced with some lip-smacking Indian street food. It was always fun to have panipuri because diners engage in getting the dish done by pouring the jal-jeera into the crispy balls. They were very flavourful and the only thing I would complain was the balls were too big for a mouthful gobble. And the aloo tikka chaat was a texture and flavour-rich dish that you can't go wrong with!

       The chicken tikka was seasoned with multiple herbs and ingredients that seemed very tempting. It was very saporous except that I cannot really differentiate it from that in other Indian eatery. I do not fancy cauliflower but the tandoor gobi was unexpectedly good, perhaps thanks to the "meatiness” of cauliflower.

       The tomato gravy in the butter chicken had intriguing aroma and creaminess that I could not stop having it despite already being a bit full. The chicken was slightly overcooked but that didn’t affect much. The saag paneer was very creamy yet to me, it was a bit under-seasoned and the cottage cheese did not integrate well with the curry.

      For the carbs, the mutton biryani was very aromatic that the scent of herbs and mutton hit my nose before I tasted it. The mutton was juicy and tender, very nicely done. Apart from biryani, the naan were very fluffy and they served as the perfect vessel for the curries.

        Excellent decor, Average service, Ordinary food. Premium pricing. And the drinks were pretty meh too.A long cry from what used to be a decent option, now I guess one’s better off trying some of the newer joints.Not gonna repeat for a long, LONG time.

        早大半年前經過J2介紹得知有間隱世嘅既印度餐廳已經好想嚟，結果終於有機會，因好朋友生日要搵個好地方慶祝。嚟到後，令我吔喜出望外，餐廳非常有情調，因第一次嚟侍應好主動介招牌菜俾我哋；有幾樣嘢特別推介spicy 蝦，咖喱雞同薄餅好好食，另外侍應推介左兩個冷盤，好特別唔係一般印度餐廳食到嘅（但唔記得咗叫咩名）。最令我哋開心係啲服務，其中有一位削左我哋成晚先知佢原來係經理，佢真係好好人又細心，知道我朋友生日上甜品嘅時候仲幫我哋好細心咁影相，個甜品啲字都寫得好靚，我個friend勁開心。就係因為呢間餐廳嘅員工服務，同埋食物質素令我留下深刻嘅印象，下次一定會再幫襯👍🏻👍🏻。

        ▶︎ 各種醬都有唔同風味 白色係甜甜嘅乳酪
        而綠色醬有少少芥辣嘅感覺 棕色嘅羅望子醬就係甜甜酸酸鹹鹹 會感覺到幾種味道係嘴入面打交 幾新奇😚 加上會爆汁 酸酸甜甜嘅石榴粒 同脆脆嘅鷹嘴豆碎 既清新又重口味 好矛盾😂

        ▶︎ 食得出係羊肉碎粒 洋蔥等整成嘅沾醬 用醬嚟形容其實有啲唔係太準確🤔 因為羊肉粒非常之多 上面仲有跟少少牛油 食起上嚟味道偏重偏鹹 都有啲羊騷味😨 不過更多嘅係香料同鹹味
        ▶︎ 旁邊附上搽咗牛油烘熱咗嘅餐包 包體正常 夠鬆軟👌🏻 麵包加埋生洋蔥同羊肉醬一齊食鹹度先會比較適中😗

        ▶︎ 終於搵到一個調味偏清淡嘅嘢🥲 主要係西藍花嘅原味加上淡淡嘅奶香 入口好舒服😚

        ▶︎ 同樣係有特殊調味同土窯爐烤製 相比之下烤雞反而略微遜色 個人認為雞肉肉質有少少柴 不過肉汁保留得唔錯🧐
        ▶︎ 調味偏鹹 甜同辣陪襯 有啲似狂惹香燒雞加更多香料🫣 配上青瓜乳酪醬都算唔錯

        ▶︎ 呢款牛油雞咖喱較易入口 用咗番茄同牛油為主體 味道溫和 少辣偏甜有牛油香 比較啱我口味😋
        ▶︎ 至於入面嘅雞肉塊就偏硬 不過夠入味🙌🏻
        ▶︎ 值得一提嘅係我好鐘意佢地嘅naan😍 好貪心咁問咗waiter可唔可以又garlic又butter🤤 最後上到嚟真係香到爆！有烤到脆身嘅地方 有軟熟嘅地方 加上蒜香同牛油香簡直停唔到口 齋食都好味💌

        Restaurant week系列仲試左 @piratagrouphk 旗下既 @chaiwalahk之前食過一次regular lunch menu已經覺得好豐富RW menu仲豐富 真係捧住個肚走果日晚餐都唔洗食(  ･᷄֊･᷅ )Starters首先有兩款for sharingPani Puri wiyh Jal-Jeera同埋 Aloo Tikka Chaat同樣都係酸酸辣辣既調味好開胃之後就一人一份tandoori有chicken tikka同西蘭花雞肉大件 幾嫩滑又入味西蘭花都出奇地好食( ˃ ᵕ ˂ )用印度香料加埋椰子同腰果醃過到主菜部分我加錢試左Nalli Roganjosh成件羊膝經過8個鐘慢煮一扯啲肉就甩出黎連咖喱都好香羊膻味雖然加左Kashmiri chili但唔辣既 反而有陣smoky味朋友試左butter chicken感覺就比較一般 調味偏甜啲雞肉都係鞋身一啲配埋主菜仲有印度香米同naan最最最想讚就係佢既naan店員比左garlic naan同plain naan各一份我地Garlic naan有對比之下係更好食既但兩款質地都超級鬆軟又好重炭香所以我地係食哂

        之前食過一次regular lunch menu已經覺得好豐富
        RW menu仲豐富 真係捧住個肚走
        果日晚餐都唔洗食(  ･᷄֊･᷅ )

        Starters首先有兩款for sharing
        Pani Puri wiyh Jal-Jeera同埋 Aloo Tikka Chaat
        同樣都係酸酸辣辣既調味好開胃

        之後就一人一份tandoori
        有chicken tikka同西蘭花
        雞肉大件 幾嫩滑又入味
        西蘭花都出奇地好食( ˃ ᵕ ˂ )
        用印度香料加埋椰子同腰果醃過

        到主菜部分
        我加錢試左Nalli Roganjosh
        成件羊膝經過8個鐘慢煮
        一扯啲肉就甩出黎
        連咖喱都好香羊膻味
        雖然加左Kashmiri chili
        但唔辣既 反而有陣smoky味

        朋友試左butter chicken
        感覺就比較一般 調味偏甜啲
        雞肉都係鞋身一啲

        配埋主菜仲有印度香米同naan
        最最最想讚就係佢既naan
        店員比左garlic naan同plain naan各一份我地
        Garlic naan有對比之下係更好食既
        但兩款質地都超級鬆軟又好重炭香
        所以我地係食哂6片（ﾟдﾟlll）
        飯就比較失色 無香料拌埋

        最後仲有甜品
        其實都飽到頂點架啦
        佢叫似bollywood style
        其實即係芒果奶凍
        感覺一般般無咩特色啦

        到夜晚同朋友傾番發現大家食完成日都異常眼訓
        Google左原本印度菜好多時會落poppy seeds
        而佢係來自鴉片 所以就會令人昏昏欲睡╭(°A°`)╮
