When we discussed the place for a birthday celebration dinner - somewhere decent, cozy and serve high quality seafood, we thought about another 'Casa' in Causeway Bay, one of our favourite dining place, yet finally we picked Casa Pennington, as we all wanted to try its famous pear tart! It was Saturday night, 4 of us arrived at 7pm as booked, there's only a few table of customers and we were assigned a window seat. To start off, we had the 'not to be missed' buy one get one oysters platters. We tried 6 type of oysters including Pacific Rock, Irish premium, Coffin Bay and some French oysters (forget their names). Casa oysters never disappointed us! The oysters are super fresh, my favourite is pacific rock for its salt water taste and creamy texture!
Then we had the scampi sashimi, it's sooo fresh and sweet!
Another seafood selection, sea urchin salad! The portion is big and it's super refreshing when urchin comes with cucumber! Salsa with dragon fruit is also very appetizing!
Next is big clams spaghetti, rich in taste, yummy!
Fried lamb ribs, tender and juicy!
The pear tart is definitely the dessert highlight. The puff pastry is hot and crispy! Must try!
The overall food quality, environment and service is brilliant.
