Tried this before at the Hung Hom branch which was not good because the Original roujiama I had was tasteless and dripping with oil.It did not have cumin and spices that I was expecting.When I found out that they had opened a second branch in Hong Kong, I decided to give it a visit because of the liangpi.This time I had the beef and cumin roujiama, chicken roujiama and the liangpi.There are two types of liangpis, one is soft and one is hard, but both evidently look and taste like Cantonese Chine

This was filled with juicy lean slices of beef with green peppers, cumin and chili.
A very tasty pairing of spicy chili and beef in a flavourful gravy.

Basically the tub of vinegar and red oil were the sauces that made the liangpi come alive.

The sesame sauce was really pale and beige which looked similar to Tahini but the taste was too heavy and thick that I didn’t like it.

聞說西環開了一間西安小吃餐廳,賣的是那些叫肉夾饃的東東,經過也聞倒香噴噴!基本上對西安菜完全沒有認識,亦完全沒接觸過。餐廳原址其實是一間我頗喜歡的馬來西亞餐廳,可惜已搬遷了西香記賣的款式並不多,有肉夾饃、涼皮和小吃三大類,也有套餐選擇。這天晚上六點來到,原本五六款小吃,只淨下兩款...叫了一個套餐,另叫多一個肉夾饃孜然牛肉肉夾饃、豬肉肉夾饃樣子很吸引的,吃下去也和想像中一樣好味道!中間的肉入味之餘,亦充滿肉汁,孜然牛肉那款味道更濃。夾饃本身沒什麼味道,加上濃味的肉一起吃味道剛剛好!涼皮有兩種質感選擇,我選了口感較煙韌的。涼皮看上去像河粉,另有豆卜和青瓜絲做配料,簡簡單單的。調味有醋和辣椒油,我只加了醋,整體味道涼涼淡淡的,第一次吃,只能說感覺頗新鮮。有機會會再來吃它的肉夾饃!

孜然牛肉肉夾饃、豬肉肉夾饃
樣子很吸引的,吃下去也和想像中一樣好味道!中間的肉入味之餘,亦充滿肉汁,孜然牛肉那款味道更濃。夾饃本身沒什麼味道,加上濃味的肉一起吃味道剛剛好!

有兩種質感選擇,我選了口感較煙韌的。
涼皮看上去像河粉,另有豆卜和青瓜絲做配料,簡簡單單的。調味有醋和辣椒油,我只加了醋,整體味道涼涼淡淡的,第一次吃,只能說感覺頗新鮮。

有機會會再來吃它的肉夾饃!

公司就系附近,果日經過好奇買左個肉夾饃試下,食完之後簡直一發不可收拾,每日都去買。五種口味肉夾饃,豬肉雞肉牛肉仲有兩款齋。。個人最喜愛孜然牛肉肉夾饃,聞到味已經流曬口水。涼皮都唔錯。對比系內地食開果D口味更足。有經過或者系附近噶食客不防試下。

作為一個正宗的陝西西安人,我忍不住用「西安標準」去評判這香港為數不多的涼皮肉夾饃店。涼皮:首先科普一下正宗涼皮。西安涼皮大致分兩種,秦鎮米皮和漢中擀麵皮,前者軟香,後者勁道有嚼勁。不過這一家,我只能說它更像是粉皮。涼皮的調料在西安也是很講究的,可是這家我只能嚐到醋味。再說說肉夾饃我點的是孜然牛肉夾饃肉夾饃的餅在西安叫做白吉饃或饦饦饃,理想狀態應該是外脆裡軟,肉湯滲進餅中,回味無窮。不過這家做不出來這個效果,餅有些軟,還有些甜甜的味道(北方饅頭或白吉餅是無味的)。孜然牛肉,只有一個鹹字。本餐唯一正宗的應該是西安的冰峰汽水,這個能在香港喝到感覺很感動!

肉夾饃的餅在西安叫做白吉饃或饦饦饃,理想狀態應該是外脆裡軟,肉湯滲進餅中,回味無窮。不過這家做不出來這個效果,餅有些軟,還有些甜甜的味道(北方饅頭或白吉餅是無味的)。孜然牛肉,只有一個鹹字。
本餐唯一正宗的應該是西安的冰峰汽水,這個能在香港喝到感覺很感動!

Liangpi (sort of a noodle salad) and roujiamo (sort of a burger) are quick 'n' easy delicacies, difficult to get wrong. And these guys don't go quite that far... The food is, by Hong Kong standards, okay. Granted, they'd run out of the more than half the things I'd wanted to order ('tasty' eggs, 'tiger skin' peppers, and any non-caffeinated beverage, it being only a couple of hours before my bedtime), but the liangpi and roujiamo they did have were... all right! Roujiamo thankfully without rou; liangpi fine insofar as carbohydrates and cucumbers julienne are generally quite nice, but tasting weirdly of Worcestershire sauce (in place of vinegar, I think they're using some bizarre local rip-off of that classic condiment, whose top five notes are those of Chinese five-spice powder - not that I much rate the original either). Liangpi, here, can be soft or 'gan' (al dente) - the former were more to my taste; the Japanese sesame salad dressing that passes for zhima jiang may be considered an enhancement, simply on the basis of providing some extra lipids to balance out the carbs - and yes, I do miss living on the mainland, sometimes.

But none of this really matters... Food is, after all, food. What matters most lastingly is what happens around that main event. At the conclusion of this particular meal I had generated 8 separate pieces of plastic waste, 3 of paper, and 2 of wood - none of them discretionary. (Do not be deceived by the visual lies of their Facebook page, however elegant their promise - the real restaurant contains no solid tableware besides trays. They will not put your liangpi in a bowl for you.) My meal, before degustatory satisfaction could commence, had to be... born, and each ingredient first wrestled from its miniature plastic womb. The delightfully charming front-of-house staff explained these excesses as collatoral damage of 'fast food'. Mysterious... Surely, one would have thought, having one's meal pre-assembled would be 'faster' than having to assemble it oneself? To liangpi, vinegar and chili oil are not condiments, they are ESSENTIAL SEASONINGS. What are we to expect next, in this revolution of culinary segregation: We construct our own burgers, layer by slippery layer?

For a quick bite, and particularly if you're considering a career in obstetrics, it's not a bad little place to have nearby, and I shall probably return at some point. However, in the interest of having something more than oceans of trash to pass on as my heirlooms to the children who shall have to live with our choices, I shall bring my own plate, chopsticks, bottle of vinegar, chili pickle, and sesame oil. Lucky I only live around the corner.
题外话/补充资料: B.Y.O tableware. Or just don't have kids.
