been here for lunch and tea time buffet a few times but its the first time for dinner buffet, was expecting more but got disappointed.we got seated right in front of the sushi bar which was like the place with the most flow (referring to diners). i was facing the bar so I got a little dizzy with the "moving scenery" the tables were placed so closely that i constantly got punched at by kids or elderly moving by (and i couldnt possibly lean back throughout the dinner)a few things worth mentioning,

a few things worth mentioning, including the oyster which was sand/shell filled, around half of them were not cleaned properly, plus they only serve one option, and not to mention its all tiny and way too milky (might be sth to do with the species though, this i can't blame them i know) but also super salty and watery (literally dipped into water without draining it afterwards). though i was a little impressed when i saw 3 of them could actually shrink when i pinched them with my fork
food were similar to lunch so i was a little disappointed. their ravioli was a little surprise though varieties ran out very soon, but i prefer the chinese wonton noodles like old days more. their steamed fish was overcooked, some pan fried beef was super overcooked too. their lamb rack was the only tender and succulent meat for teh night, so don't expect too much from the hot dishes
cheese platter had few choices only, salad options weren't impressive either but fair i suppose. sushi/sashimi was alright, not the best "fatty fishes" one can get, but i'd consider that a range of options available.
dessert wise, chocolates were good, but strawberries ran out and no refilled was made. the aloe in honey is always my choice, and also the berries feuillie.
ok, so it comes to the service part. way too much staff running around, but u dun call it good service all becoz they dun have a nice segratation of tasks. most of them only social with foreigners which is a little irritating. another thing is they never realise when sauces were dripped onto the chairs or jus around, i was quite pissed but i didnt' ask that particular waiter to come back and clean up, consider there's already wet wipies on the table.
they totally ignored SAFETY IN WORK coz they made staff to carry piles of plates and trays of glasses to and from, seriously, two of the junior boys was carrying dirty dishes from the working area to the kitchen 10 times round at least. and they dun even know the proper way in holding heavy stuff, having the shoulder slouched upwards, sure the muscle pain coming later won't make them last in this job. a little trolley could hv do the trick and increased productivity by folds! i was very annoyed by seeing them exploiting staff this way and has wrote a note on teh comment card, jus hoping i'd see sth different next time.
oh! and the coffee was over roasted, not sth i'd expect from SHERATON, but well, the manager said its already "better" than before, sigh... what a response!
with the starwood previlege, i got 1 diner free out of 2, though normal +10% still imposed. so it rounded up to $240 each after discount. which i'd consider my other hotel discount ENTREE CLUB at langham's a little better than this place.
