I have to emphasize again: it is the WORST dining experience ever and RUDE STAFF!!! I have never left any dissatisfactory comments at a restaurant before but this time it is exceptional. I couldn’t let it go without expressing my extreme disappointment.
We were a party of five, so knowingly with the COVID precautions and safety, we had already arranged within ourselves that we would split into three and two parties per table.
As we were waiting to be seated, the “store supervisor” had an unprofessional attitude and told us harshly that we are to sit a table of four + one person in the corner bar table. We had nicely asked if he could arrange a table of three + two. But he simply said No.
It’s unpleasant enough to have one person sitting alone, not to mention, at the very edge of the restaurant, when the store supervisor could easily arrange two of us to sit together. Besides the two of us that will be sitting together is a father and his child. Without trying to ask for a better table arrangement, we just followed and sat at his arranged tables, sadly leaving the father to sit alone.
The disappointment follows one after another. We were already ready to order as we read the menu, but, it was so difficult to get the server’s attention. It’s not the case that they don’t have enough staff. The server#1 finally came over, didn’t even want to take our order and simply printed us a QR code to scan to order. Thinking, fine, it’s not unusual to place an order through QR code nowadays, we did it anyway. However, we realize the same server went to the table next to us who came after us and took their orders by hand??!!?
Feeling neglected about this, we just ordered through the link. Even their orders on the website was disorganized, when we pressed on a dish we wanted to be added into the order list, it automatically appeared as another dish name??!! We had to get the server’s attention again to clarify this matter. She didn’t even try to help figure out the issue. Simply reprinted a new QR code but the issue on the website is still there! Feeling helpless again, we just ordered it anyway.
As we were waiting for our dishes, we spotted a table of two that was empty and there weren’t any other customers waiting. We had already asked another server #2 whether it is okay for the father and son to sit together at that table. She confirmed that it was okay to do so. We told the father and child that it is okay for them to sit together at that table. As they were walking to the table, the store supervisor furiously rushed over to stop them and told them they cannot sit there as the restaurant is fully booked. As I checked the time, it was actually near the end of operating hours... I also noticed the store supervisor gave server #2 “a lecture” that she had allowed this to happen and immediately placed a “reserved” placeholder on the table. Frankly, it is unnecessary for him to blame her. She was just being nice to offer the father and child to sit together.
The next thing, they messed up our order and tried to push the responsibility.
We ordered two of the same thing, and very clearly it was confirmed on the order.
As we were halfway through the first dish, we asked whether they forgot about the second dish. The server said it already came and we ate it. ......... Feeling upset about the whole experience, server #1 rudely said “What do you want to do about it?” They had no intentions to provide a better service and make adjustments.
We did NOT enjoy a slight bit of the meal at all. Left us with no appetite to continue eating. We are NEVER coming back to this restaurant. It is BLACKLISTED.
