星期六和家人來到翠亨邨飲茶,整體食物質素一般,服務不錯,至少店員看到桌上有一個空碟便會主動過來拿走。菠蘿叉燒餐包,暖暖的,菠蘿皮做得香脆,內裏的叉燒餡味道不會太濃,是美味的。XO醬炒腸粉,少許辣,腸粉皮不會太黏不厚,恰到好處。脆皮燒腩仔是整餐之中最美味的。外皮夠香脆,中間夾着少許肥肉,肉質鮮美;另外還有懷舊的蠔油豆,美味非常。上湯煎粉果,煎粉果內有蝦肉,外皮煎得香脆,蘸上上湯另有一番風味。蟹子瑤柱燒賣、鮮竹牛肉球、金粟百花球,皆彈牙可口。尤其是鮮竹牛肉球,帶有香濃的果皮香。瑤柱蒸蘿蔔糕,沒有其他的配料,只是純粹蘿蔔糕和江瑤柱配上豉油,真材實料已經夠美味。黑松露醬雞絲翡翠炆伊麵,端過來的時候已經有非常香濃的黑松露味,吃下去每條伊面也帶著黑松露的香,令人不停想吃。菲林芝麻卷,就好像是芝麻糊的固體版,仲有強烈的黑芝麻香味。

燒味拼盤平時叉燒都好好食,但係今日就有少少失色,啲叉燒嘅肉唔係好林,同埋唔夠juicy。

另外、甜品我都鍾意食蛋白杏仁茶,有機會不妨試一試。

不過如果星期日去翠亨村飲茶,我就會提議你早一啲去,12點鐘之前到通常都唔需要特別排隊。

We had a simple dinner, w bbq pork & chicken combo, pea shoots sauteed in garlic, fried noodles and tea  which cost HK$900.00 for 2 people. OUTRAGEOUS and a RIP OFF.  It is the most expensive pea shoots that I have ever had at HK$228, which normally costs around HK$80-100in a similar standard restaurant.  DO NOT  go here....any of the Maxim's Group of Restaurants have similar or better quality food and better standard of service, linen, ambience and decoration at a much more reasonable prices.IT

ITS A SHAME, this restaurant has been in HK for a long time, I have eaten there  before when it was reasonable prices.

If I wanted to go to a five star hotel  restaurant, I sure would not have chosen Tsui Hang RIP OFF Village.

I am not sure why the staff at the door are unresponsive and blind. I was there just to redeem a cake and their faces were as dark as dark soy sauce. One of the staff just used her finger to point at her colleague. I assumed this individual can't speak in addition to being blind and deaf. It was only 1pm and they were already so angry and 串. I am often weary of having pig's lung soup that tastes more like Chinese almond tea (杏仁茶) so I had my fingers crossed on this one but surprisingly, it was milky and rich with almond flavors yet not overpowering to the degree that you can't taste the flavors of the pig's lung and pork. This is highly recommended for all you soup lovers (Grade: 4/5).

Crispy minced carp cakes and crispy bread topped with milk custard (鍋貼牛奶拼香煎魚餅) ($148) - Of course, we won't come to a restaurant best known for their authentic Shunde and Hakka-style dishes without trying a couple. This is one of my personal favorites and a house specialty that shouldn't be missed for all your visits to Tsui Hang Village. I particularly liked the deep-fried milk custard with the crispy batter and silky smooth milk custard sandwiched together. Very good stuff (Grade: 4.5/5).

I used to have this dish all the time at home when I was little so this brought back a lot of memories. But I didn't remember the egg as so crusty on the outside. Stewed goose and ginger in sweetened vinegar (古法彭公鵝) ($188) - Another famous dish from Shunde region which didn't draw particularly good reviews from the five of us. Everybody concurred that the sauce tasted a bit like Chinese ginger and sweeten vinegar or geung cho (薑醋) which Chinese women love to have after their pregnancy. And the fact that the goose meat was a little on the hard side certainly didn't help (Grade: 2.5/5).

After the crispy minced carp cakes and deep-fried milk custard, this was the second most sought-after dish and who could complain. For an upscale restaurant, they certainly maximize their real estate usage. It is jam packed so the tables are tight. Once you are seated, it is hard to leave without bumping into other tables. I also do not like to see restaurant employees chewing gum or candy while on duty, because from afar, I saw an incident involving a server and her candy falling out of her mouth and it was most unpleasant. Given the price point and the uninspired unimaginative food quality and atmosphere, it is not one I would want to recommend to others.
