之前嚟好似係2011年嗰陣,嗰陣覺得環境唔錯但食物普通,相隔8年後再嚟,名改咗,食物質素亦大大提升。準時六點半到,環境都係唔錯,已經有聖誕嘅佈置,枱有啲密,大概七點差唔多坐滿。食物方面選擇唔算多,但質素唔錯,Refill得好快,服務幾好,經Openrice訂枱有78折,大概$600左右一位,今年嘅生日自助餐幾滿意。即開生蠔,肉質Creamy,開得好快,完全唔使等,無限拎幾多隻,呢個係賣點。即煎鵝肝,全場最多人排,起碼六至七人,到大概8:45分就無咩人排我哋先拎,我覺得煎得太乾無嗰種油潤感。蟹腳有少少碎,水份較多,鹹味適中。其他凍海鮮都可以㗎。刺身新鮮,三文魚同希靈魚最好味。壽司質素都幾好,細細件,料好足。火腿盤有切好嘅哈蜜瓜粒,好細心。自製魚生飯,自製可以多配料少飯,正。芝士焗龍蝦,我覺得比普通嘅凍龍蝦出色,芝士無搶龍蝦鮮味,雖然唔係生猛即劏龍蝦咁新鮮,都好唔錯,肉質好彈牙。焗魚柳同鹹豬手都好味。燒安格斯牛扒有牛味不過有啲難,火雞都都唔係咁欣賞。加咗喺焗薯上面嘅係即場燒溶嘅芝士,好味。仲有唔記得影相嘅羊架亦唔錯。龍蝦湯過鹹有啲苦同太杰。青紅蘿蔔湯有味精味。燉湯Ok。好多甜品都係聖誕造型,部份有啲漏。豆腐花好碎。八款Movenpick雪糕,每一球都好完整。水果及每人一杯餐飲。 continue reading

今次係第二次嚟Cordis嘅the Place食buffet 第一次係上年嘅宵夜自助餐今次係4月30號 COVID-19 outbreak下食dinner buffet今日係公眾假期 佛誕 全場爆滿因為同屋企人慶祝 所以已經早10幾日就已經book咗位一行3人6點半入席 量好體温 要求下侍應提供信封暫放口罩先介紹一下有乜嘢好食先唔係好多酒店自助餐廳都有嘅芝士焗龍蝦呢度竟然有 仲要refill得好快 唔洗排太耐就拎到 其次嘅係有明閣嘅京式片皮鴨食 食一舊就夠啦 因為包皮太厚 凍海鮮有即開生蠔 每人每次只限攞三隻 比較需時 因為職員清洗得很仔細 其他有翡翠螺 蝦 龍蝦鉗 青口等 都係職員幫手夾 唔使顧客郁手 以免增加感染風險刺身有我好中意食嘅希靈魚熱盤種類唔太吸引 但值得讚許嘅係 食物都分開一碟碟 仲有職員幫你拎海南雞飯 味道可以哦蟹粥甜品要排長隊拎嘅疏乎厘係movenpick雪糕仲要係好多好多秩口味 整體感覺the place嘅buffet對疫情控制嘅態度係好的 只有少數幾個顧客冇帶口罩拎嘢食但熱食嘅種類如果再豐富D 就會更好原價:$698+10%/人特價後:$418(連service charge)/人 continue reading

又心血來潮想食自助餐,去了兩次"市場",都想轉食其他,於是選了很久沒去的 The Place。我們8時多才到,而自助餐9時45分就完結,於是在餐廳門口做了防疫程序就立即進入作戰狀態。餐廳食客不是太多,就連取餐區都鮮有食客取餐,比較冷清。疫情關係,凍海鮮區只放樣本出來,需要時找職員,他們會從雪櫃直接取出海鮮給食客。是晚沒蟹腳,只吃了生蠔跟龍蝦鉗。生蠔: 不腥但好鹹龍蝦鉗: 預先敲殼,吃起來方便,肉質新鮮且富鮮味,不錯熱食區的食物也因應疫情而轉換形式,食物以一碟碟形式預先分好,再放在保溫盆中;有些則要經由職員拿給食客。小碟式取餐其實有點麻煩,大碟每次只放三小碟已經放滿,加上每小碟食物份量真的很少,如果要追加,就要多走兩趟忌廉汁燴三文魚忌廉汁味道不錯,奶味不會過重,三文魚肉嫩滑,薯蓉也很幼滑; 可惜,每碟份量少得離譜,三文魚只有骰子般大小,薯蓉又只有一小陀,算起來大概要來回5到6次,才可以吃到相等於平時自助餐一件魚柳塊的份量蕃茄醬青口(確實名稱忘了)醬汁的配料-甜椒,味道太突出,跟青口不合襯,青口本身亦沒鮮味黑松露汁炆雞(確實名稱忘了)烹調方面有點偏向中式,芡汁雖有黑松露味,但感覺還是搭配忌廉汁比較合適,一般吧!蟹粥沒蟹味,粥底太稠咖喱雞雞胸不乾嚡,還算嫩滑,不過雞不太入味,咖喱味道較淡,麻麻咖喱雜菜有點驚喜,咖喱雖然非常辣,但亦非常惹味,不錯!咖喱角外層好韌,不香脆,咖喱味也不太突出,味道較淡芝士焗龍蝦完全沒芝士味,龍蝦肉不鮮甜,不試沒損失欖角骨味道有點像豉椒排骨,味道還好吧,但沒特別之處照燒牛肋肉醬汁味道濃,不過略嫌照燒汁的甜味不夠; 牛肋肉雖然不韌,但肉質麻麻,感覺有點像茶餐廳的牛扒類,而且完全沒牛味。無論肉質和醬汁味道兩方面,同是五星級酒店的“市場”自助餐優勝太多了!燒肉眼生熟程度不錯,肉質很嫩,不過沒牛味北京烤鴨包醬汁味道很濃,是偏甜的口味,味道不錯,配合鬆軟的包子和帶油脂香的烤鴨,令人回味是晚比較印象深刻的鹹食大概只有龍蝦拑,北京烤鴨包,咖喱雜菜和忌廉三文魚這幾款。跟以往相比,熱盤的整體水準下跌了,無論食材質素和味道,都令人失望。既然熱葷強差人意,唯有寄望甜品環節可以挽回分數。甜品區款式不少,因應疫情關係,甜品檯前都圍了一塊透明的擋板,如果需要取甜品,就要請職員代勞了。焦糖咖啡卷咖啡的澀味好突出,不喝咖啡的大概會受不了白朱古力彩虹蛋糕彩虹色好吸睛,不過每層味道其實一樣,蛋糕質感鬆軟不太甜,而表面的白朱古力醬是正常味道,不過略嫌偏甜了,一般石榴金橘慕絲蛋糕金橘味較突出,不過有點偏酸青蘋果白朱古力芝士蛋糕太甜了,而且三種材料的味道都不太突出,反而合起來有種類似白桃的味道,不是難食,但沒意欲再接第二口杯子蛋糕蛋糕質感濕潤,不會太乾,甜度合適,但缺乏牛油香,整體一般,不試沒損失芝士撻雖說是流心芝士撻,但流心不等於“水汪汪”,這個芝士餡太稀了,而且完全沒芝士味; 撻皮鬆化但欠缺酥香,完全不合格,失望藍莓芝士蛋糕芝士蛋糕質感軟滑,但沒芝士味,藍莓醬更是鮮有的難食,味道不夠香甜,而且很澀,酒店出品來說,太差了!上面幾款西式甜品幾乎沒一樣好味,於是試試中式甜品。紅豆沙沒烹煮至起沙,還能吃到一粒粒紅豆,紅豆質感軟惗,整體沒澀味,味道亦不太甜,談不上很美味,但至少比蛋糕的水準好雞蛋仔配雪糕雪糕是M牌,質素一向有保證,所以它美味是源於品牌本身,功勞不歸功於酒店。撇除雪糕,今晚眾多甜品中,雞蛋仔竟然是最美味的。之前嚐過不少雞蛋仔,但未有令人印象深刻的出品,想不到今次會在酒店自助餐碰上具水準之作。雞蛋仔真正外脆內軟,有甜味且富蛋香,這個不錯整體而言,食物無論鹹食還是甜品,真正能達到五星級水準的食物,屈指可數,實在失望。服務方面,侍應會主動過來收碟,收碟速度合格; 但當倒過來,你需要找他們的時候,往往沒人在場,要等了很久才出現,實在奇怪。另外酒店雖然在食物陳設上下了功夫應對疫情,可是有些措施感覺是沒必要的,例如熱葷食物都先用小碟分好再放進盆內,其實所謂的小碟子很浪費空間,讓食客都不能一次取多幾款食物,碟子用食物夾也不好夾,如果直接用手又怕碟子會燙,何必呢?其實維持原有一整碟食物讓食客夾取也未嘗不可呢!“市場”那邊都是這樣,只要有蓋子蓋好,其實也沒有問題呢!另外在照顧食客的層面上,貼心程度也不夠。最近往“市場”的自助餐,酒店很貼心地為食客提供一個白信封,讓食客用餐時可以好好存放口罩,但這裡入座後沒有提供任何存放口罩的東西,既然沒有提供,於是想問侍應取餐紙巾放置口罩,但一直也沒看到侍應們的蹤影,要等了幾分鐘才有人過來,好不容易找到侍應,等他拿紙巾給我又等了好一段時間,唉,大家都是五星級酒店,自助餐價格又差不多,但服務質素竟然相距甚遠。今次訂座時使用了openrice的7折優惠劵,折後大約每位500多元,感覺好像蠻划算,但當感受過低於五星水準的食物和服務後,我會選擇重投“市場”懷抱,因為折扣後兩間價格差不多,但食物和服務絕對沒將貨就價,反而這間,我會在推薦清單中移除。 continue reading

今日夜晚同HA 做醫療嘅friend 去左The Place 食自助餐。宜家酒店做緊醫管局員工優惠,半價可以食到5星級酒店嘅自助餐,真係有今生冇來世。平日收工日子去食,估唔到都8成滿座前菜拎左少少試下,因為疫情關係,全部野食都係預先分好曬係碗度,冷盤仲用埋保鮮紙蓋住,確保衛生,值得一讚。主菜有10幾款,豬牛羊魚咩都有,各自用左唔同嘅汁煮,肉質唔錯又入味。羊扒同rib eyes 肉質有彈性又有肉味,值得一試。不過我就食唔慣用薄荷醬襯羊扒,好似食緊牙膏咁。咩醬都唔點仲好食。海南雞飯有驚喜,雞嘅肉質好滑又冇⻣,飯味好香又煮得啱啱好,好食到食左2碗芝士焗龍蝦就正常水準,不過不失。甜品都有十幾種簡,Terimisu同蛋白凍係必食之選。貴價Movenpick 雪糕居然提供8隻口味咁多可以選擇!The Place 嘅食物水準好高,宜家仲有HA優惠, 絕對值得一試! continue reading
