To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

The Place is delighted to present new Thai-themed seafood buffet in this early summer. Guests can embark on a culinary journey to Thailand and savour a delectable array of authentic Thai delicacies alongside with fresh seafood including all-you-can-eat Snow Crab Legs, Lobster Claws, as well as the Seasonal Oysters during lunch buffet.

The Place is delighted to present new Thai-themed seafood buffet in this early summer. From now until 31 August 2024, guests can embark on a culinary journey to Thailand and savour a delectable array of authentic Thai delicacies alongside with fresh seafood.
Elevated Seafood Delights and Authentic Thai Flavours
Offering an extensive selection of dishes that showcase the vibrant flavours of Thai cuisine, guests can indulge in a variety of Thai-style salads, such as Thai-style Squid Glass Noodles Salad (Yum Woon Sen), Thai-style Green Papaya Beef Salad (Som Tum Thai) and more. Seaood lovers will be delighted not only by a wide spread of iced seafood including Fresh Oysters*, Snow Crab Legs, Lobster Claws or Crayfish#/ Whole Lobsters*, Golden Sea Whelks and Blue Mussels that are served with Thai-style Sweet Chili Sauce and Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, but also Thai-style Cold Prawns with Chili Sauce, one of the must-have cold appetisers in Thailand. The culinary team of The Place has also curated an array of authentic Thai delicacies, which include the classic street food Thai Fish Cake (Tod Mun Pla), succulent Wok-fried Prawn with Thai Chili Paste (Goong Pad Nam Prik Pao), flavourful Roasted Spring Chicken in Thai Style (Nong Gai Op) as well as sour and spicy Thai-style Steamed Grey Mullet (Pla Gapong Neung Manao). More hot dishes include the iconic Thai Boat Noodles (Kuay Teow Reua) served with your choice of Thai Fish Ball, Beef Ball, Pork Ball, Bean Sprouts, Pork Cracker; Thai Coconut Chicken Soup (Tom Kha Gai) with rich coconut milk infused with lemongrass, galangai and makrut lime leaves; and Thai-style Pork Neck (Moo Yang) at the live grill station. Executive Pastry Chef, Roy Ma and his team have crafted an array of exquisite Thai desserts to tantalise your taste buds. Highlights include the all-time favourite Coconut Sago Pudding, Mango Ginger Passionfruit Macaroon, Pandan Coconut Layer Cake, Caramel Thai Tea Cream Roulade, Pandan Coconut Egg Waffle, and 11 flavours of MÖVENPICK® Ice Cream, giving a perfect end to your Thai feast journey.
“The Seafood Place” Afternoon Tea Buffet
Starting from 12 July, 2024, The Place also bring in “The Seafood Place” Afternoon Tea Buffet, available on every Friday to Sunday and public holidays. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat iced Lobster Claws or Crayfish, Snow Crab Legs, Blue Mussels and Poached Prawns at the Seafood Station; as well as a selection of Sushi, Salad and Cold Cuts. Newly-added highlights are local bites including Hong Kong-style Swiss Chicken Wings, Wok-fried Pork Ribs with Garlic and Chili, Mini-sized Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf, Hong Kong-style Soy Sauce Fried Noodles and more. Other international hot dishes such as Roast Baby Pork Ribs with BBQ Sauce and Deep-fried Prawn Toast will also be available.
