It has been quite a while since my last Tsukemen experience in Hong Kong. This ramen shop has always got its serpentine queues like most of the 'yellow-ribbon' eateries.💛 To avoid the crowds, we arrived in the shop at 1800 after work. It has been quite a while since my last Tsukemen experience in Hong Kong. This ramen shop has always got its serpentine queues like most of the 'yellow-ribbon' eateries.💛 To avoid the crowds, we arrived in the shop at 1800 after work. Every customers were required to take temperature as they entered the shop, which was a good practice amid the COVID-19 outbreak.


We ordered the signature Tonkotsu Tsukemen with cold noodles, including half a soft-boiled egg, two thick slices of chashu pork & some dried bamboo shoots.
The broth was rich and flavorful, yet not overly salty. Dipping the springy wheat-based ramen into it, I could see how nicely the noodle pick up the broth.
The enjoyment of having a tsukemen - to prevent you from devouring the whole bowl of ramen - but to twirl every chewy strand of ramen around my chopsticks, dip into the broth and slurp it up. However, I wish it could be served a bit hotter and kept warm throughout my experience.

For the chashu pork, I could see the charred exterior with about a 60:40 ratio of meat to fat, which was just to my liking.

Apart from the tsukemen, we ordered Takoyaki for snacks, just to have sth sweet and tangy for my tastebuds. Umm... you may skip this tho.

This is an above-average ramen shop and good value for money especially when you are in Mong Kok and thinking of what to eat. Opt for these small local businesses as you still have choice!
