Hi,My wife had booked this resturant for us to celebrate a special occantion. We were frequent guests of old Spasso and had longed for something new to open in the open air outside after Spasso moved to TST East. The meal was a tastless disaster. This must be the lowest level of French Cousine achiavable and a rip off in price. Unbeliavable! The worst dinner experience in Hong Kong for over 30 years and 4 as a resident of Hong Kong.
The fresch chease starter passed unnoticed. (Faisselle Salad)
They could not even make a regular saffron aioli to our Bouillabasse who consisted of 3 piece of different fish/seafood and 3 potatoes! After 3 different calls and 4 minutes of waiting my wife moved up and around try to find salt and pepper herself for the meal as it tasted nothing!
The cheapest wine in the list of white wines (HKD 500) was sold out but we were offered an alternatgive at HKD 800!!! So we ordered next cheapest a Gewurtstraminer (should be dry) but was more close to a Sauterne! And the somilier did not say anything!
So we rushed paying, brought 1/2 bottle of wine next door to La Locanda (Next to Muji store) and enjoyed a nice dessert and coffee.
This resturant will not survive 6 months unless total makeover or they will focus 100 % on mainland tourists. Hongkongers, we won't go!
The outside location is fantastic, decoration quite nice but everything else a total disaster so please don't let the environment fool you.
Happy there are other reasonable resturants in the area who serves decent good honest food. Al Molo, La Locanda to give just a few.
