While on the quest for casual dim sum spots, we decided to give this place a go. Firstly, don't expect any grand interior or restaurant setting, but rather a modest diner managed by a team of young & trendy-looking teenagers. One might easily miss it if walking by the main road, but turn up the slope and you'll see the telltale purple sign poking out. Inside, it is quite cramped compared to normal dim sum seatings (and the photos online), but the set up is modern enough. Tea and plates are quick

Inside, it is quite cramped compared to normal dim sum seatings (and the photos online), but the set up is modern enough. Tea and plates are quickly set up, but we sat too close to the kitchen/washing area so throughout the meal, plates and bowls were consistently banging and crashing onto the floor. Quite an off-putting sight actually

The dim sum themselves are nothing to sneeze at, but for the price, you can easily find other places to match. Granted, the har gao was exceptionally big and succulent, but only 2 pieces came – which explains the price vs quality.

The beef dishes were rubbery, with only a hint of meat flavour, and the pork ribs were seasoned well but mostly fats. The only saving grace was their soup dumpling, which was packed with ingredients and in clear broth.

I would recommend this place for youngsters looking for a fun, simple dim sum bite to satisfy a fleeting craving - definitely not for those looking for solid dim sum cuisine.
