I'm here to announce, I've fallen in love with this secret place in TST. Shopping around TST with friends, and I want some snacks even after a proper lunch. I might have over looked the shop Big Joh, since it doesn't look attractive from the outside, but my friend recommended it.Once you entered the shop you will see very interesting nostalgia decorations & dog pictures. Look at the dog then you know how do I feel when I put it in my mouth!
They prepared the waffles only when you ordered. We've waited around 10 mins for the take away. And when we wait for it, we can see how serious the shop keepers were!
The take away greed cake was well-packed, with the lovely paper wrap plus a paper bag outside. I can feel the warmness from the grid cake when I hod it for pictures. Look at the golden colour, you will know the shop keeper was very skilful and controlled the timing perfectly. It didn't taste very strong, but the slight egg flavour was filling in the air. I would say it was very very tempting!!!
It tasted perfectly just as it looked. It was very crunchy and soft at the same time. You can taste the egg flavour just as it smelled. The texture was a lot denser than the normal grid cake in the street which made me full. Condensed milk and peanut butter were spreading out from the waffles and filling my mouth! There was more than enough, even you've a sweet tooth! I guess they somehow heated/ melted the filling before they put them into the waffles, that made the gird cake tasted even better!
