I was meeting an old friend at The One and we were looking for a place to chill and catch up and the Dazzling Cafe caught our eye. We had been wanting to try this cafe for a while but it was always fully booked. We were lucky that there wasn't a long queue when we got there that day and we could get a seat real quick. We got in at around 3/4pm and were told that there's 90-minutes time limit. The cafe itself is spacious with beautiful interior decor. It's simple design with a black and white them
The cafe itself is spacious with beautiful interior decor. It's simple design with a black and white theme and a tint of blue. It is relaxing and feels comfortable. Some of their chairs even have rabbit ears which make things a bit more fun. Some of their staff were employed directly from Taiwan and in general very polite and efficient despite being very busy. We ordered two drinks and a dessert. I ordered a fruit tea which I forgot to take a picture of.
I really enjoyed the tea, it has a nice aroma and a lovely colour. It's mildly sweet and mildly sour and it matches perfectly with the dessert. Subtle and balanced. It comes in a tea pot and a glass filled with all sorts of colourful, fresh fruit bits and ice cubes. It's very refreshing when served cold.
We also ordered the Strawberry Lover Honey Toast, the staff kindly helped us cut it up and it's perfect for sharing.
The portion is big and the crunchy honey toast is topped with cream custard, fresh strawberry slices and a scoop of strawberry ice cream. It also comes with honey on the side and a tweezer for serving.
The staff put the ice cream on the side and cut open the toast box and inside there were nine pieces of tiny toast sticks. It's the perfect combination between the honey roasted toast, creamy custard, fresh strawberry and smooth, rich ice cream. It is fairly sweet but it's ok if you are sharing with a few friends. It might not be the best toast in town but it surely is very comforting.
