Time for Mexican food again! This one, Tequila on Davis in Western distract, has always been one of my favorite. One of the reasons why I love them so much is the fiesta themed restaurant atmosphere; it gives off this vacation feeling that really relaxes me after a long day of work.

What’s better to kick start a meal then margaritas!? I’ve had their margaritas before, but never had it frozen; it was so yummy! The ice blended so fine there were no chunks of ice, rich and sweet mango flavor in silky smooth cold ice made it a perfect drink for a hot summer night!

Their portions are generally huge, so we decided to share a Nachos Grande as appetizer, and then shared a main.

They are not joking about their nachos being “grande”, both in terms of size and flavor! This time we didn’t get it with any additional meat, there was enough flavor on its own. Fresh salsa, lots of sour cream and guacamole; generous amount of cheese, olives and jalapeños! SO GOOD!

Nachos GrandeI loved their guacamole so much I have to have a side order of it too! I am auite sure their guacamole is homemade, just enough lime for the zestiness without making it sour; chunks of avocados to prove it’s the real stuff! I just love it!

Our main was the enchiladas with chicken, another great dish! Hot, saucy and hearty enchiladas with an amazing flavor which I can’t descript but missed so dearly from my university town’s Tex-Mex restaurant, good old times! Well flavored and soft Mexican rice and black beans were served on the side, enough carb for anyone, too much actually if you ask me XD
