The recent Korean craze and camera-eats-first phenomenon have brought about many new restaurants in town, featuring the two elements together. The gimmick of eye catching dessert raises question whether the food is tasty on tongue or for eyes only. Nevertheless, it is true there are good examples that serves good food with nice presentation. After work today, I visited this place, namely L'attitude, in Kennedy Town with my close friend with a view to trying their pasta and softcream, as suggeste
As a matter of fact, this is the second branch of the restaurant, yet I haven't been to either shop until today. For me, as an island person, it is definitely a nicer location, as it only takes about 2 minute walk from the MTR station. The environment is slightly dark rendering both coziness and adding that romantic colour to the dining experience. Perfect for couples and close friends' gatherings!
I like the fact that L'attitude provides both hot dishes (with enough starchy choices) and desserts so that I need to plan for the next spot. I'm honestly lazy ><
While I was suggested by my buddies to try the carbonara, I sticked to my gourmet intuition and ordered the pasta with creamy fish roe sauce and deep-fried soft shell crab, which sounds appetizing. My friend worried if we weren't full enough and picked the favourite Hawaiian pizza--pineapples!!!
For drinks, there are quite a number of choices to pick. We also wondered for a while to decide! They looked attractive on the menu!! Eventually, we ordered the Los Angeles (blue flower + yuzu) and a smoothie with cookie & cream ($46).

As the drinks arrived on our table, I was amazed by the light effect of the Los Angeles drink ($38). Better to see in eyes that there was a hidden lightning cube hidden under the ice, which gave the drink an appearance of mysterious ocean. Although it tasted same as Korean yuzu honey drink, I strongly recommended to try this cleverly designed special drink.

On the other hand, the cookie & cream smoothie looks great, too! Covered by a large cloud made by the marshmallow, the gigantic look added marks to the wow factor. Yet, to be honest, it's slightly hard to dig in as the marshmallow is quite sticky. If not beginning with hands, one might get through some troubles in drinking. Nonetheless, the smoothie tasted nice; a rather safe choice, wasn't it?
Soft-shell crab pasta with fish roe cream sauce

The best dish tonight was the main dish--soft-shelled crab pasta ($138)! The size of the crab is quite large and it was crisply fried sealing the juice inside!! Delicious!! Equally, the pasta was cooked to perfection with the sauce glazed over nicely. Creamy sauce with touch of heat from the Japanese fish roe, a big thumb-up for it!
Hawaiian Pizza

Then, our Hawaiian pizza arrived. This soft base pizza was crispy and cheesy--important for every slice of pizza. Although the pineapples were too small in size and the tomato gravy tasted slightly sweet (some kind of syrupy feeling), the use of bacon and ham gave it an extra boost for the melting of lard inside the fat. It's surprisingly not so heavy and we enjoyed it very much. The waitress also gave us wet tissue afterwards; overall, the service was nice

Lastly, we ordered chocolate soft-cream ($46) to finish our meal. As the menu wrote that L'Attitude used Korean soft-cream highlighting the rawness of fresh milk, we decided to give it a try. Perhaps, because we ordered the cocoa flavour, the milk flavour was less visible; rather, it gave a thick and rich body of the soft-cream that hinted some aroma to it. We can clearly taste the dark chocolate flavour inside the chocolate soft-cream! Not so sweet as many dessert places would do; we like this deep cocoa flavour very much.
To conclude, we had a nice time here in L'Attitude in terms of food, service and ambience. The cozy and silent ambience gave us a peaceful night to chill out after work. The price is acceptable as the food did taste nice. Strongly recommended this to my friends, especially for dating or special occasions. A thing to remind though is that reservation is recommended, as the restaurant was full already at 8:00 pm during our visit. Hope you enjoy our recommendation too!
