Went here for lunch as recommended by a friend. Overall a great experience.Service:Greeted with smiles and kinda hospitality at the door. Greeted with smiles and kinda hospitality at the door. Was immediately invited to enter the upstairs lounge area to sit for the meal with my friend who was already there. Water was poured into my cup as soon as I arrived. The menu was lightly described to me which made the overall decision-making much easier. Had a few questions and they were answered with no further explanations required. My cup was never empty throughout the meal and we left with the same smiles and hospitality but with new staff members. Service alone convinces me to come back again.
Ambiance:
Can’t speak for the downstairs bar area, but from what I saw it was roomier than most establishments in Central, should be a nice place to drink at night. Upstairs provided a great space to talk and catch up with friends. Personally the table seatings were a little too compact but it is a small space and you’ve gotta do what you gotta do. Retro style and classy vibes, a definite yes to the well furnished interior of the sit down area.
Food:
Limited selection as we chose from the lunch menu. Though I loved the bite size appetizers where we each got a serving of 3 different items. All good and the variety definitely helps keep things fresh. Caesar salad was good, not much to say but I did enjoy the smaller cuts of lettuce. Ended up choosing the skirt steak with fries. Great dish, well seasoned, well cooked. Sauce was great and fries came with truffle, what more can you ask for. A great dish if you like savoury and grilled/fried food.
