Until last night, Mott 32 (HK)  was a long-time family favorite restaurant serving the “best Peking Duck” in Hong Kong. It is a premium priced establishment, but we are happy to pay the premium for the great food. It is a premium priced establishment, but we are happy to pay the premium for the great food. Last night, a group of 8 of us gathered there to celebrate 3 of us turning 50 this year and brought a special bottle of 1969 Vintage Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 1969. Imagine our shock and disappointment when we were told flat outright that we could not open our wine despite offering to pay full corkage and buying accompanying wines from their wine list.
