Meeting boyfriend in Mong Kok for lunch, we decided to try out this place that serves Taiwanese food. But by the time he came out, they had already put out an afternoon tea menu.Menu is in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge. I had the sesame sauce dry noodle with appetizers of marinated pigs ear, beef brisket and beef tripe. The noodles were ok. The sesame sauce wasn't too fragrant and a bit of on the bland side. Though it said mini size, I would say it's more like a medium size. It was a decent portion. The appetizers not strongly marinated either. The pigs ear was pretty oily. I also rarely talk about the ice lemon tea but this place? It was pretty bland. Just taste like water with slices of lemon in it.
Boyfriend chose the minced pork rice. It was also stated to be a mini size but again ... larger than expected. The mince was a bit on the spicy side but it had a lot more flavor than my sesame sauce. For appetizers he chose Taiwanese sausage, Taiwanese fried chicken and sweet potato fries. The only stand out was the fried chicken. A nice tasty coating and the meat was very moist.
Food was ok. Nothing truly stood out. But for the price of $36, it was a pretty good deal.
