An amazing experience! Came here to celebrate a birthday and left feeling very satisfied. I ordered the 4 course luncheon menu (meaning there is 4 courses, there are different courses for dinner as well) and my parents ordered the 6 course luncheon (with 2 additional courses to the 4 course one) The ‘theme’ this week(or day I forgot what the waiter said haha) was ‘Chocolate’ so we were presented with 6 different chocolate that was used in every course and we got to the at the little piece of cho

An amazing experience! Came here to celebrate a birthday and left feeling very satisfied. I ordered the 4 course luncheon menu (meaning there is 4 courses, there are different courses for dinner as well) and my parents ordered the 6 course luncheon (with 2 additional courses to the 4 course one) The ‘theme’ this week(or day I forgot what the waiter said haha) was ‘Chocolate’ so we were presented with 6 different chocolate that was used in every course and we got to the at the little piece of chocolate after each dish!

The first dish was the appetizer, home baked bread with black garlic butter. The bread was so delicious, it was warm and hot so you could tell it was freshly baked, the butter melted perfectly onto the hot bread and the subtle hint of black garlic elevated the simple starter by a lot.

The first official dish was a sawara Spanish makers with aubergine (eggplant) and a chocolate balsamic sauce (andoa 70% was the featured chocolate) ( I know it sounds weird but it was delicious with the fish)

The second dish was a burnt foie gras with walnut pesto and a sherry vinegar onion and the featured chocolate was a jamaya 73%, the foie gras was so crispy and caramelized on the outside but silky on the inside and it melts inside the mouth. The portion was quite small but if you eat it slowly in small bites then it lasts quite long.

The third dish was a slow cooked Iberico pork cheek in mole sauce with a potato mousseline (mashed potato) and pork skin puff. The pork was so tender and soft and there was more pieces of pork then I expected too (around 7 small pieces) The mashed potatoes tasted like silk (not exaggerating, there was no lumps and very very creamy) the pork skin puff was very exciting as the crispy skin melts under your tongue but lacks a bit in taste. The mole sauce disappointed me a little but as the taste was very strong and intense and the subtle hint of chocolate (deltora 70%) was not very pleasant, but eating it with the creamy potato kinda balances out the intensity of the sauce. This was served with a side of broccoli and pickled vegetables, which was really the highlight for me as I love vegetables and the hint of mala sauce was amazing with the creamy potatoes.

The fourth dish was the dessert, a white chocolate ice cream (orelys 35%) with brie cheese parfait, blood orange (dried and raw) and a sansho and chocolate crumble. The brie was very intense and the flavor clashed with the white chocolate ice cream. The dried blood orange was tasty but there was a bitter aftertaste. Not that good.

The two additional dishes in the 6 course is not worth it, I tried some off my parents and they were a Tiger prawn with homemade gnocchi and white asparagus which was good but not worth an extra $6XX. The second dish was a hokkaido scallop with duo olive and cherry tomato confit. Definitely do not recommend the scallop as it was hidden underneath this unpleasant purée and the taste did not contrast well with each other. The scallop was sliced thinly and was overall an incongruous addition to the dish.

The service was also very good as my cup of water was never empty 😆. The waiter also helped explain each dish delicately and was very cooperative with taking photos and finding the perfect angle and lighting for us. Deserves the 10% service charge!

On a side note, my dad had to deposit a $1000(😱) to book a table and reserve the menus. Which I think is too extreme.

Overall, I definitely recommend the 4 course luncheon menu. The flavors flowed nicely throughout the course until the dessert but you can always find nicer dessert places in K11 (We ate DAMA ice cream afterwards (Check my review on that ☺️)) Another cute addition is that the waiter told me how all customers do not know what they are going to be eating beforehand and the theme and menu is reviewed when you are seated and you can scan the QR cube they give you with a online menu laid out. A very fun and expensive experience, experiencing this once is enough.
