公和荳品廠 (Kung Wo Dou Bun Chong in English) has been a staple in Sham Shui Po for the past 50 years. This place is popular and there are never empty seats but people sit and eat quickly.

Taking my Canadian cousins here on our Sham Shui Po foodie adventure, we cramped into the restaurant. Seating is definitely not comfy and obviously not clean. We found some spilled tofu pudding on the chopsticks and toothpicks, but the food is fast and good. They have a menu that is in English and Chinese. Surprisingly it is in English, too! Everything is cash only and there is no 10%.

Tofu Pudding ($8). We each had a bowl of tofu pudding. Rich in soybean and smooth in texture.

Deep Fried Tofu Puffs ($10), Deep Fried Tofu ($10) and Deep Fried Fish and Tofu Cakes ($10). We shared a platter of tofu snacks. They were fried at  the front of the shop so was served to us pretty fast. The best was the tofu puffs as there is nothing like deep fried balls of tofu. The deep fried tofu was stuffed with fish meat and the tofu was still very soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fish and tofu cakes were interesting. They had a bouncy texture. For something so deep fried, it was impressive it wasn't drenched in oil.

A very inexpensive, yet fast snack place for everything tofu. They even have soybean milk. Grumpy service but then again this isn't fine dining.
