First of all, this place can be hard to find if you're walking from Tai Wai station. Google maps will say to take a 20mim roundabout route, but just follow the pedestrian bridge that runs over the highway. That should take you to an area with some dai pai dong-esque restaurants, walk past those and you'll hit the shopping center Sister Korea Cafe is in.

It was packed when we went--and people were queued up outside when we left. We were sat down and given some very, very measly banchan. Usually non-takeaway Korean restaurants give at least 4-6 dishes of banchan, but Sister Korea only gave 2 tiny dishes of spinach and bad kimchi + 1 bowl of bland seaweed soup.

We ordered the volcano rice: kimchi pork fried rice, that's made on a skillet at your table. (2/10)

Our server seemed sooo bored making our food, which is fine except that the $128 tasted like nothing special. It tasted no different than regular pork on rice--I could barely taste the kimchi, and the cheese/egg added no flavor. Also, the bottom of the rice sticks so much to the skillet that you can't get any of its crispiness, which defeats the whole purpose of making the rice in a stone skillet. When I was trying to get some of the rice off the bottom of the skillet, a server came an just took it away...which is kind of rude? All in all, we just paid $128 for a small and very bland portion of sauce-mixed rice and pork.

Our other dish, the spicy stew with ramen, beef, ddukbokki, fish cakes was better. (5/10)

The portion was pretty generous for $128--much more worth it than the rice. It also came with egg and cheese on the sides to dip the ingredients in. The soup was flavorful, but not spicy at all. This dish was more with it in my opinion but, again, nothing to rave about. Tons of restaurants have this dish, and Sister Korea doesn't make it any better.

I had high expectations because of the good ratings and pictures, but the food is so disappointing. In summary...the kimchi fried rice was bland, kind of soggy, and small in portion. Plus, it wasn't even fun to see it be made because the server looked so annoyed making it. The stew pot was fine, but nothing you can't find at any other Korean restaurant. The atmosphere is cheery but kind of loud, and the servers are pretty rude and nonchalant, especially compared to the polite servers you find at most Korean restaurants.
