Since we can’t eat dinner outside this year, we chose to have Christmas meal as late lunch. Fortunately, we could still book a table three days ahead with a deposit of $1000 for two people. There were two sets of meal either the steak and lobster set or Christmas set. We looked through and quite like the steak and lobster set. The lobster soup was quite thick in terms of texture. We could tasted a very strong beer flavour after the first sip. I believed that they cook the lobster with beer because I could taste it even more after biting into it.
We ordered a center cut filet mignon 6oz and a Center cut prime ribeye 16oz. Since I wasn’t too hungry so 6oz was perfect for me and the ribeye was as big as my hand. I don’t know how my friend is going to finish it but she did after sharing some with me. The texture for both was tender and juicy. We were very happy with the temperature of the meat.
We both got the lobster tail to go with the steak, it was amazing! It was so meaty and crunchy. It was my first time dipping the lobster into the melted butter. It tasted quite good.
As for our sides, the Parmesan and truffle fries was big enough to share with two people, they were crispy and full of flavour. I love the sautéed button mushrooms, they were so tasty. I love the grassy flavour. I kept wondering how to cook this mushroom so that the size stay the same.
To finish off, we had the cream brûlée and hot chocolate cake. Both of the portion was big so we couldn’t finish it. But they were both very yummy, the cream brûlée was eggy and smooth. The chocolate cake was nice and warm, the sweetness was perfect for us.
