Every now and then you need to treat yourself with something nice, like a nice meal, and it felt like I’ve found of the best restaurant just to do that, in Lemon Grass, after hearing so much good recommendations about it.It’s in Kennedy Town and not far from the MTR station. It’s in Kennedy Town and not far from the MTR station. The seating spacing is very generous which is definitely a positive at pandemic times. The environment is very calming and fancy with very comfortable seats.
I’ve ordered the $238 4-course set meal which includes: Lobster Bisque Lava Croissant, Lobster & Pineapple Salad, Braised Crab Meat E-Fu Noodles in Lobster Sauce and Stewed Bird’s Nest Coconut Egg White with Hokkaido Red Beans. I’ve topped it with a Spicy Thai Basil & Mint Mojito with an extra $38.

The surprise came immediately with the Lobster Bisque Lava Croissant, which now I can understand why it’s such a popular dish. The sauce just burst right through the second you cut the croissant open, and surprisingly mixed really well with the crunchy bread. Everything matches so nicely with great strong lobster bisque taste. Next, the Lobster & Pineapple Salad gives a really refreshing taste, with a bit of sour-ish dressing on the salad that matches well with the balls of lobster on the top. Refreshing yet very satisfying.

The E-Fu noodles main is another great dish, basically a continuation of the strong lobster bisque taste from the starter. The noodles are very well cooked and the portion of the crab meat was quite generous. The only downside was that the sauce wasn’t entirely covering all portions of the noodles, which is understandable given the difficulty of the E-Fuu noodles, unlike the spaghetti. To finish off, the bird’s nest dessert brought the lobster bisque aroma and taste to a nice coconut milk taste with very sweetened red beans. A perfect way to finish off the meal. The Mojito was also quite impressive and I ended up having 2 of those because it was so good.

Overall, it was definitely a very satisfying and enjoyable experience, and I couldn’t picked a better place to treat myself with such a nice meal. Definitely will come back with friends next time to try out other dishes from the menu!
