This was really a 甜品自助餐聚會, 鹹點=0, 甜點=unlimited supply, as per my discussion with other 食家, it seems like most of us could not increase our 戰鬥力to the highest level.Of course the nice arrangement from KC 兄gave us a wonderful nite. 認人遊戲brought all the 食家much closer. We really 行來行去in a 6-star hotel. This should be one of the warmest nites in Openrice gathering.The food became less important for the nite. Of course the nice arrangement from KC 兄gave us a wonderful nite. 認人遊戲brought all the 食家much closer. We really 行來行去in a 6-star hotel. This should be one of the warmest nites in Openrice gathering.
The food became less important for the nite. I tried the followings (should be more, but can't remember everything)
1.朱古力噴泉:6分, less attractive than the one in Cafe Kool, but the fresh fruits save it.
2.綠豆沙:6分, of course 玉葉would be better, just a very ordinary 綠豆沙.
3.豆腐花:6分, again, ordinary 豆腐花, nothing special.
4.西米布甸:8分, this was the one that I loved the most in Tiffin Lounge. The sweetness of 布甸was adequate. Of course 西米布甸was my favorite. still, it was way behind the standard of 車品品.
5.麵包布甸:7分, used to taste lots of 麵包布甸in the States. This one was pretty good, would not be too wet or too sweet. Very slightly taste of bread.
6.Tiramisu:5分, disappointed dish: I thought that Todai in Arcadia even gave me a better Tiramisu. Of course for good Tiramisu, we should go to Sabatini.
7.木糠布甸:7分, served in a cup, decent one, but seems to be too sweet.
8.香蕉班戟:5分, below average crepe. I still dream of the crepe in Paris of Vegas.
9.綠茶紅豆蛋糕:7分, used to be the signature dish of Tiffin Lounge. I tried this several times, but it seems like to be 跌watt. Anyhow, still a decent one.
10.酥皮龜靈膏:6分, would this dessert be called a fushion one? it was a little bit strange to taste the 酥皮with 龜靈膏. The taste was just OK.
11.粟子蛋糕:7分, western dessert was better than chinese dessert: taste of 粟子蛋糕was pretty good.
12.檸檬撻:6分, this was too sweet. and lemon was not too outstanding.
13.咖啡疏乎里:7分, 疏乎里was pretty good, but it was still not better than Cafe Kool again.
14.砵仔糕:5分, again traditional chinese dessert was not good here. not in the best taste.
By comparison, Cafe Kool dessert was better than Tiffin Lounge. Most of the desserts here were above average, but not outstanding. Anyhow, it is always good to enjoy a wonderful nite with all the 食家in this nice environment.
