拉麵Jo的主理人是麵屋一平安主理人的兒子, 也就是想開創一個比一平安更專注於拉麵的拉麵店, 畢竟一平安除了拉麵外也有串燒及其他熱食, 和麵屋也有一點距離. 銅鑼灣的本店吃了幾次, 也是覺得一般, 要不是太太選擇這一家, 我也未必再來光顧. 雞骨湯拉麵看起來夠Creamy, 湯頭喝起來雞味流於表面, 很快就被豬骨味蓋過, 質感相當濃稠而黏口, 算是真材實料但平衡度不夠. 慢煮叉燒口感沒有問題, 沒有炙烤的焦香也許就是不想破壞湯頭的色調和原味. 魚介沾麵味道濃郁而不會死鹹, 魚介的味道可以再多一點, 特別是最後加湯的時候. 兩種拉麵的面身也夠爽實, 掛湯能力OK, 並不是一文不值, 但沒有找到有什麼突出之處, 令其成為一家別樹一格的拉麵店. 煎餃反而是全場的最差, 底部不夠香脆之餘, 表面如浸了油一樣, 軟溶而油膩.The proprietor of Ramen Jo is the son of the proprietor of Menya Ippin, hoping to create a ramen shop that focuses more on ramen than Ippin

I've eaten at the flagship store in Causeway Bay a few times and found it to be average. If it weren't for my wife choosing this place, I probably wouldn't have come back. The chicken bone soup ramen looks creamy, but the chicken flavor is overshadowed by the pork bone taste, and the texture is quite thick and sticky. It can be considered authentic, but the balance is lacking. The slow-cooked char siu (barbecued pork) has a good texture, although it lacks the smoky aroma from grilling, probably to preserve the color and original flavor of the soup. The seafood dipping noodles have a rich flavor without being overly salty, but it could use more seafood taste, especially when adding soup at the end. Both types of noodles have a firm texture and can hold the soup well, so they are not completely disappointing, but I couldn't find anything outstanding that would make it a unique ramen shop. Surprisingly, the pan-fried dumplings were the worst dish in the whole restaurant. The bottom wasn't crispy enough, and the surface was oily and greasy as if it had been soaked in oil.
