Been trying out different hotpot spots lately, and this time, we’re at Cloud Handmade Hotpot to see what they have to offer! 🍲 Pic 1️⃣: 本地手切封門柳 (中) - $388 hkd 🥩 — Portion size and presentation was decent but was slightly disappointed by the beef itself. Having had freshly sliced hanger steak from other hotpot places before, this is definitely not how I expected it to look. The slices were frozen and really thin. Although they were quite tender, and had even marbling, they lacked a rich beefy flavo

— Portion size and presentation was decent but was slightly disappointed by the beef itself. Having had freshly sliced hanger steak from other hotpot places before, this is definitely not how I expected it to look. The slices were frozen and really thin. Although they were quite tender, and had even marbling, they lacked a rich beefy flavour. The meat really relied on the dipping sauces to have flavour. For the price, I expected the beef to be higher quality.
Pic 2️⃣: 黑松露芝心蝦丸 & 手打梅菜豬肉丸 (各半份) - $68, $58 hkd 🦐🐷
— They had a unique selection of balls which was nice. The pork ball with preserved vegetable had a nice bouncy texture, and the preserved vegetables added a nice sweet and savoury element to it. The black truffle and cheese shrimp balls were slightly underwhelming though, as you could neither taste the truffle nor was there much cheese in it 😂. The shrimp paste was also under seasoned.
Pic 3️⃣: 自家製黑松露蟹肉餃 & 韓式泡菜牛肉餃 (各半份) - $68, $48 hkd 🥟
— These dumplings were really tasty and honestly I could’ve done with another portion of these 😂 The filling in the black truffle crab dumplings were soooo good and flavourful. Same applies to the kimchi beef dumplings which were rich in flavour and had the perfect amount of spice to them.
Pic 4️⃣: 鳳城水餃 (半份) - $48 hkd
— Average, under seasoned and the filling didn’t taste like much.

Pic 6️⃣: 秘製四川麻辣鍋 & 田園清湯 - $354 hkd 🍲
— Personally thought the mala soup base wasn’t rich and fragrant enough. The vegetable soup on the other hand surprised me as it was really refreshing and flavourful.
