The worst service and experience I've had at a restaurant in awhile.I'm usually super nice when it comes to rating restaurants, since I'm familiar with the industry. So take my word for it - the service here is horrendous and I will not only never return again, I will advise anyone else considering to turn around before you regret it.
So admittedly, we turned up early (12.40pm) for our 1pm reservation. I understand if it's fully booked, but the lady who was there had her reservations book open, showed me her bookings page (there were 4 reservations for 12.30pm, 8-10 tables in the shop), and said with a horrifyingly rude tone that we were too early to seat. I looked around the restaurant and only 2 tables had guests at them, put on my nicest smile and asked "could we please be seated a little early? if you have space of course. our friends are on the way already, but we can order for them".
I got an eye roll from her, and was pointed to a table of 4. Fine, we came early, so I sat without further comment. Then after ordering for our friends, I tried to order a drink, and she asked what everyone else was having. I told her I didn't know yet, and the response was "order when all of you decide, its just me here" -- again in the rudest tone possible.
OK - now I can completely understand if you're stressed being the only server, but at this point there was maybe 4 tables of guests and everyone seemed really mellow. Customer service is so important these days, so her tone was completely uncalled for and made me feel like I was an imposition. as a diner. in a restaurant. Definitely will never visit this place again.
The food was also nothing to call home about, so there's that.
