第一次食鴨批,味道唔算好濃烈,感覺清新,而且鴨批嘅質感留有一絲絲鴨肉,令層次更加豐富。值得一提嘅係一旁嘅青蘋果沙律同波特酒小洋葱味道酸酸甜甜,令人好開胃。
It was the first time for both of us to try a duck terrine. The flavour is not too intense, in fact, quite refreshing. The duck terrine keeps some shredded duck meat, which enriches the layering. It is worth to mention that the green apple salad and the port wine shallot marmalade aside taste extremely appetizing with its sweetness and sourness.

整體嘅感覺就係似一個西式嘅清湯腩。牛小排經過慢煮後質感變得好嫩,牛味唔重。上桌後淋入清湯,再以薑提味。雖然唔係我哋意料嘅西式菜式,但屬有創意嘅菜式。
Overall, it tastes like a western-style beef brisket in clear broth. The beef short rib tastes very soft and tender after slow-cooked. The broth is poured after it is served and had intensified the taste with ginger. Although it is not what we have expected in a western restaurant, the dish itself is creative.

依款美國牛肋相比平時自助餐食到嘅更吸引,肉質好軟熟,而且同醬汁嘅配搭好好。我哋都好認為依個美國牛肋好值得加錢去試。
This US prime rib is much more succulent than the usual one we have in a buffet. It is soft and matches well with the sauce. We both agree that it deserves an extra $65 for it.

甜點有眾多西式糕點可以選擇,而我哋就揀咗拿破崙蛋糕同芒果提拉米蘇。拿破崙蛋糕嘅皮略嫌唔夠脆,奶油嘅質感較重,而士多啤梨嘅酸味剛好作中和作用。芒果提拉米蘇嘅味道則較普通,水果新鮮,但底層嘅熱情果味道較淡,只能品嘗到芒果嘅味道。
You can choose from a variety of homemade desserts from the dessert trolley. We have chosen Mille-Feuille and Mango Tiramisu. For the Mille-Feuille, it is not crunchy enough. The cream tastes heave and the sourness from the strawberry could neutralize the greasiness. For the Mango Tiramisu, it tastes quite ordinary. Fruits are fresh but we can barely taste the passion fruit from the base, as the flavour of mango covers it.

OMG! This signature lobster caesar salad is surprisingly nice!!! Really worth adding 65 HKD for it. The fresh vegetables make the salad a very good base. There are around 4-5 pieces of lobster meat in good quality, fresh and chewy and sweet! They also mix crispy pancetta, white anchovies, and sourdough croutons and also lobster sauce together, which brings the salad to another level. ⠀

The soup is served with black truffle and cinnamon-brown butter croutons in the middle and the waitress pour the pumpkin soup in front of you, making sure it's hot enough when you drink it. The texture of black truffle and the butter croutons is quite special. Not bad. Tho the soup itself is a bit too sweet for me. ⠀

I personally prefer this dish. The Salmon is perfectly cooked, very tender and juicy! As you can see in the pictures, the pink colour is just beautiful. There's a poached oyster, but not much special about it. There are some meuniere espuma (which I don't even know what it is), it tastes a bit sour. ⠀

The final episode of the Tai Pan - Desserts!⠀
You can choose from a variety of homemade desserts from the Taipan Dessert Trolley, there are around 6 kinds of dessert including strawberry mille-feuille, raspberry tart, green tea opera cake....But it's already around 3pm when we come to the dessert time, so Tiramisu and Mango & passion fruit verrine is no longer available. ⠀

The crispy puff pastry is awesome! Love the texture. However, the strawberries are not sweet and only a few pieces on top, so actually not much taste of strawberry when eating it. In between the layers of pastries, it's custard cream I guess, which is too sweet for me tho.⠀

What a surprise! The choux is filled with dark cherries inside! It really matches with the pistachio cream! YUMMMMM. The pistachio cream is so rich! Love the pistachio cream! The raspberry makes the whole dessert mucch fresher! ⠀

多了回家吃飯的時間, 就是好好去回憶之前吃過的, 作一個Summary就是.

上年12月來過一次,覺得幾好食,今次又碰上Restaurant Week, 所以再來慶祝母親大人生日!餐廳環境都算靜,裝修都仲好新,坐幾個鐘都冇問題!我地叫左3 course menu, 介紹下先!Appetisers: 我地試哂3款頭盤,當中我覺得個Tuna and King Fish Poké幾開胃幾好食Main Course: 至於甜品我地都係試哂3款,醒目嘅我梗係提前話比餐廳知我啊媽生日啦🙂整體黎講不錯,大力推薦!

I went to the restaurant on the Restaurant week 2020, for lunch. Getting off the elevator, there are two restaurants on each side, and we were seated on the right one.We chose the the duck terrine for a starter, slow cooked beef short rib, and daily carving of rib eye steak.The duck terrine was soft and pleasant in taste and every ingredient went so well together.Our bread came little late, but it was warm and delicious. I went to the restaurant on the Restaurant week 2020, for lunch.
Getting off the elevator, there are two restaurants on each side, and we were seated on the right one.

We chose the the duck terrine for a starter, slow cooked beef short rib, and daily carving of rib eye steak.

The duck terrine was soft and pleasant in taste and every ingredient went so well together.

Our bread came little late, but it was warm and delicious. The triangular one had some herbs in it and the long one with tomatoes. They were quite heavy, but it was so nice I cannot stop eating them.

As said, the short ribs were slow cooked and they were very tender. The more interesting were their vegetables and soup which were in Chinese style. I loved the boiled Bak choi, herbs and garlic toppings, the cute little greens.

We get to choose some desserts from the trolley. We chose this chocolate filled with cream and rum. The run and cherry as usual went very well together and as I remember, it was not too sweet or blend. It was just right and somehow felt like a giant Ferrero Roche.

We also got coffee (70hkd), which we found out were not included in the course meal. However, it tasted very soft and rich, and I loved it!

Overall, was a very pleasant experience in a well lighted, white environment. The staff were very attentive and friendly, keeping good track of your meal and experience. Would like to come back!

Murray Hotel 座落於中半山,環境優美。這已是我第二次探訪。今週剛好有Restaurant Week 的原故,相約好友一同再試這間聞名已久的餐廳,試食她們的午餐,一進入餐廳已感到餐廳用心的裝橫。經理安排我們坐於面向教堂的靠窗座位。麵包暖,味道不錯,頭盤為這裡的signature dish, 龍蝦沙律有濃厚的龍蝦汁,主菜為燉牛肉及Salmon, 是日以Tiramisu 及士多啤梨千層蛋糕作結,yummy !!!

Order 兩個3道晚餐,前菜是八爪魚🐙配菜,慢煮八爪魚好稔,龍蝦🦞凱撒沙律配雜菜,配搭烚當,湯是磨菇🍄湯好香燶,牛尾湯好清甜。主菜是澳洲M5肉眼和牛配菜,五成熟適中,肉質及油脂分佈均勻,好好味🤤。另一主菜是燒春雞配菜,肉質鮮嫩,皮很香口。因大家肚餓已急不及待吃,忘記拍照🤭。最尾還order了甜品,千層蛋糕及朱古力蛋糕,今次記得影相。🤤🤤🤤今晚用滙豐卡簽賑有20%優惠🤣🤣🤣。

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and just so happen it’s restaurant week so of course it’s a great opportunity to try a new restaurant. It exceeded my expectation - bread was served warm with a good variety, appetizer was good, the main beef short ribs was tender and juicy and the lemongrass gave the dish an interesting twist, dessert was satisfying. The service was excellent and attentive.

Actually my first time here, quite a chill and chic place in Hong Kong. I had the lobster salad and beef, it’s too too too good. The food is superb, the service is great, and the environment/ deco is relaxing. We will definitely come back again soon.

The Murray Hotel開立至今,大部分朋友都推介他們自家餐廳,水準屬中上,而且裝修優雅,環境恬靜,非常適合把酒鐵談心。剛巧碰上最近餐牌單點有六五折優惠,趁好朋友生日就來到訪一下。由於是平日星期一的關係,再加上最近疫情洶湧,當晚只有兩枱客人,比較冷清。當晚一坐便坐了三個小時,從頭盤到甜品,上菜時間都恰到好處,令客人可以舒適地享受每一道菜式。一開始上桌的是麵包籃和當晚贈送的頭盤小食,不得不提煙三文魚配cream cheese為一整晚打開美好序幕,refreshing至於頭盤我們選擇招牌龍蝦沙律以及蟹肉risotto ,相比之下龍蝦凱撒沙律沒有想像中特別,沒有wow factor反而兩道主菜都非常出色,強烈建議大家試試!黑松露薯蓉作為side dish,絕對有畫龍點睛的作用!而生日當然要有少少甜品作為晚宴的結尾,好朋友非常喜歡apple crumble,給予高度評價,所以整體來說都很不錯!
