在上環工作的人相信都知道上環美食多不勝數、有特色、有名氣的更是如數家珍。但當你每日都重複找食,你就會沒有意見、沒有所謂了。就在公司附近的一個不遠的轉角處,有一間上年才開張的餐廳,聽說是主打西班牙菜。雖然已經開業一年,但也沒有特別走去踩踩點。這幾天因為有同事生日想請她食一餐lunch生日飯,就打算和同事去試一試了。訂位時段好像只有12:15和13:15,幸好我們有可以自由出去食飯的時間,所以直截了當選了12:15的時段,絕對能避開不少lunch的人潮啊! 待應其實挺細心的,當看到我們快走到門口時,一個女侍應立即為我們開門了!滿主動的。對於lunch食西餐來說,$68-$118,這個價錢算是中等,不會說太貴。聽說餐牌會定期轉變的,希望帶來新鮮感。店內光線很足,因為兩邊都是大大的落地玻璃,環境不錯。我和同事各點了一個lunch set。當天的soup of the day是大蒜薯蓉湯,沒有很濃烈的大蒜味,是完全能夠接受的味道,相對的薯仔的味道好濃郁、好香,湯喝下去很滑、可惜湯有點稀身。另外再另上了法包,上來時還微暖的,口感脆脆的。 我點了fish and chips、同事就點了grill

我和同事各點了一個lunch set。當天的soup of the day是大蒜薯蓉湯,沒有很濃烈的大蒜味,是完全能夠接受的味道,相對的薯仔的味道好濃郁、好香,湯喝下去很滑、可惜湯有點稀身。另外再另上了法包,上來時還微暖的,口感脆脆的。


我點了fish and chips、同事就點了grilled ox tongue。份量比想像中來得要大,魚有3大塊。天啊,我好愛那薯條啊,剛炸好熱辣辣,上面還撤了類似七味粉(!?)來調味,其實我本身也偏愛這款粗身薯條啦
 同事點的是烤煮牛舌配薯條,沒想到牛舌竟然是厚切的,同事也偏愛吃牛類,給它一個讚!

飲品我和同事都點了咖啡。Lunch set的飲料好像檸檬茶、可樂、七喜那些是不用收費的,但咖啡要另外加$15-$22,但尚在接受範圍內,咖啡味很香很濃。
題外話/補充資料: 店內的座位很少,建議提前預訂,大班人的不要walk-in。

It's a joke, a Spanish tapas restaurant does not know how to make tortilla, it turned out to be an omelette, sth which u ordered as omelette, and as we returned it, the waiter was kind enough to let us have another pick from the menu, yet I was disappointed that the chef didn't make use of this chance to Re-do the dish and regain the credits.I just can't imagine that this classic dish is being so wrongly prepared, there were maybe two or three cubes of potatoes and the rest was egg. A traditional, or all the tortilla I ate in my life, were made of mostly potatoes, the eggs were there merely to bind the potatoes together. Sadly to say, this restaurant failed to make it.
We also ordered some other tapas, like baked mushrooms (ok) deep fried anchovies (GD) and sardines (ok) but I cannot forgive the tortilla was wrong.
We needed to go to another restaurant to finish the dinner becos I lost faith there.

這pasta 材料很普通, 但幾驚喜, 意粉一端上就香氣四溢, 質地做到al dente, 夠乾身, 有濃濃的蒜同olive oil 香味. 當然仲有小魚的味道 (其實沒有特別記住是甚麼魚...waiter 形容那可以叫做像鬼佬咸魚) 整體個pasta好香口, 雖然係飽肚的食物但完全不覺膩,

燒雞真係好好好好食! 真係要一試! waiter 說雞用了好多香料醃製, 吃了一口, 雞的味道的確不簡單, 表皮燒得香脆, 甜甜的有蜜糖和牛油香, 雞肉散發香草味. 之前要求伴菜不要薯條要蔬菜, 餐廳也很好特別換了.

整體好滿意, 食物好, 店員幾友善, 會再來的

題外話/補充資料: 其實上環蘇杭街, 永樂街, 文咸街一帶, 有不少水準不錯的西餐廳, 選擇和出品不亞於soho, 尖沙咀/cwb等鬧市, 而且上環沒那麼多大集團或連鎖餐廳, 無咁悶. 這區感覺也安靜一點, 悠閒一點, 價錢相宜一點. 與其在中環排隊同人迫, 仲有幫餐廳交貴租, 不如行遠小小或者坐叮叮到上環.

Oh yes! This what we've been looking for, unfussy Spanish tapas! These dishes don't taste like fake western dishes made up in the mind of a grandma talking to a GI. The chef that's making these dishes is very well traveled. His Hong Kong style shows through with the "Spanish Omelet" tapa that was more like a quiche. Oh yes! This what we've been looking for, unfussy Spanish tapas! These dishes don't taste like fake western dishes made up in the mind of a grandma talking to a GI.


The chef that's making these dishes is very well traveled. His Hong Kong style shows through with the "Spanish Omelet" tapa that was more like a quiche. It was still seasoned well though, as well as light and fluffy.

We got the grilled sardines (wonderful), aglio e olio (spicy and good), carbonara pizza (kinda like chili, not my favorite), and fried cauliflower with an anchovy mayo (yum!). Everything was pretty satisfying--- the atmosphere is super relaxing.

I just wish they had really good extra virgin Spanish olive oil to sprinkle on all of their dishes--- the grilled sardines were fantastic, but a drizzle of good extra virgin would've taken it to an authentic level.

They have happy hour all day on Sunday and most things on the menu that are only available after "4pm" can usually be made whenever, just ask!

Love the beers they have on tap.

a small little bistro, with its entrance on cleverley street between jervois and bonham strand, i first went a few months ago with 2 friends and have been back 4/5 times since, because it's en route back home as well as serving tasty 'western' food that you can't find around the area for that price.

we normally have the mussels (comes with fries), which are always tasty and fresh-tasting, no fishy or frozen taste.

Roast chicken, not sure what they marinade it with but it's always succulent, slightly sweet and sticky. Super tasty. They cut the whole chicken for you in 4 portions so it's easy to tackle them which is very thoughful. Excellent value with the dinner set (cant remember what it is now....less than $200 with starter/main/tea or coffee)

the salads are of decent quality, not just a slab of leaves like many set salads. soups i remember them being quite substantial as well.

we had pasta before, which is western style (as opposed to 'hongkong-nised') and pretty good. haven't had it for a while as i'm on a no-carbs diet.

i see they have a small selection of tapas on the board but i've never tried so no comment.

service is good, always filling your water (free) and they seem to have a lot of staff for such a small place. you can tell everyone is dedicated and strives for excellent food and services, the warmth is something you will never find in corporate chains. we should all support local small businesses before this town is taken over by 2/3 conglomerates.

for the portion and, more importantly, quality of food, it is outstanding value i think.

if i had to criticise, i think the sofa seat is a bit low for the table and the dining room-kitchen ratio seems a bit off, i wish they pushed the kitchen back a little with more dining tables. so perhaps i shouldn't praise it too much, i dont want to fight with 20 other people trying to get in next time!

和朋友周末来吃late lunch,因为不喜欢英式的brunch,最后一人点了一个意粉,朋友叫了beef cheek,我叫了seafood linguini,本来是不爱意粉的,没想到有意外的惊喜。朋友的beef cheek上来分量很足,有两三块牛肉,我们还奇怪为什么没有刀只有叉,一尝才知道原来牛肉已经炖煮的十分绵软多汁,只用叉子就可以轻易的分开,我尝了一块,味道很不错,就凭炖煮的火候就可以吃到厨师的用心。我的海鲜意粉味道也很好,面稍微硬了一些,不过可能符合大多数人的口味。海鲜很清甜,配上厚重一点的cheese,很搭。其他的东西不知道,意粉值得一试!

反正,我的衣著 style 老闆是不理會的!


好的!我正有此意前來幫襯這間新餐廳,走到門前一看 menu,那位女店員或老闆娘看一看我整個 Look 之後,她好像看不到我,特意將面望向另一邊!當我問她是不是食西餐?有什麼介紹?她即時說:可以入來一試!期後,她見到我在店內影相,當我埋單時問我:食物是否滿意?我回答食物做得不錯!( 可是!我不滿妳的服務態度啊!擺到明是先敬羅衣後敬人
我覺得她很「假」!) 真是令人討厭的服務態度!


況且,這是一間新開張的餐廳,又不是出名的名牌餐廳..... 通常!新餐廳會以食物質素及良好的服務態度吸引首批食客,有望會成為熟客,恐怕我只會幫襯一次!

店內有一塊看似殘舊的木框大鏡子,從鏡中看到的店名的倒影,有另一種感覺!
靠牆的 Bar 枱以雲石製造,提高了格調!木枱配上皮梳化,營造柔和氣氛,走酒吧西餐廳格局!

可選擇是日餐湯或沙律!我則選擇餐湯,因為可以嚐到師傅的手勢!

Soup of the day 忌廉薯蓉湯
嚐一口!無錯是滑溜的! 薯仔打成蓉混入忌廉,質感細滑!相信沒有加入麵粉,這樣,不導致湯的質感變成糊狀。看似淡色不吸引?!飲起來卻薯味濃郁!鹹味恰到好處!加入煙肉粒,除了點綴之外,又可增添惹味!

Bagel 是水泡形麵包,沒有油做的,相當健康!
如果,淨食的話會幾口乾!
這裡做法切開烘一烘,放上羅馬生菜、紅邊菜、九芽菜等沙律菜、青瓜片、蕃茄片、火雞片上加一塊芝士等豐富餡料,伴上沙律醬;香口美味又滋潤口感!
火雞片上加一塊芝士一起焗,芝士溶化令火雞片多一份芝味鹹香!
滋味無窮!
