一月十四日 (星期四)今日相約同事,一起試試這間在中環新開張的西餐廳我一早便訂了十人大枱,這裡空間感頗足夠,而且裝潢舒適,吃一個愉快的午餐應不是問題有set lunch 供應,可配湯或沙律老公仔點了其中的牛尾闊麵和濃番茄湯番茄湯真的很濃,像醬汁一般,簡直可以用來撈意粉頗酸,但湯很香很熱,倒是不錯的至於牛尾闊麵等了很久才來到有點意外,不是如想像般的加上茄汁,而是用了清湯底這樣的配搭,自然突顯不出牛尾的鮮味而且闊麵頗硬,這樣的價錢,大家樂質素也我則點了帶子意大利飯Rissoto,是預期較硬的飯種但不知是品種或是廚師問題,這裡的卻是特別的硬汁尚可,但配料似乎少了點,好像在吃白飯...其他同事的一些意見:三文魚意大利粉很一般pizza尚可對不起,雖然是新開,但收得這個價錢,質素要求較高,今次不合格,希望有待改善...

Today is my special day!I come arex caffe w my girl'frds lunch again!Before we like the pasta & risotto so much!So we order smoke salmon linguine & scallop risotto!But something wrong!The pasta change the style,so creamy & heavy,impossible;the scallop risotto too much cheese & no scallop taste,like local style risotto!My girl friends so disappointed!I think maybe too busy,the chef can't control the quality!But we never come again!So sorry for this special day for my lover!

今日下午剛好有多D時間,於是想找一間比較舒適的餐廳吃飯, 見到呢間叫@REXCAFFE,看起來環境不錯,於是入去試吓呢間的菜色, 原來是一間主打是咖啡的意式RESTURANT,問個WAITER, 他介紹我試吓過SET LUNCH, 於是便點了因是中午,所以見到全場都坐滿人客, 先來了個SOUP,味道不錯, 但個人覺得味道略淡一點,再來是一份有魚有菜的主菜,味道很好,汁完全滲入魚中, 很好味這裡主打是COFFEE, 當然要點一杯試吓啦, 我點的是CAPPUNICO, 咖啡味道很濃,很香, CREAM 也相當滑. 的確令人回味.....再回味, , 並非哪兩間出名的連鎖式咖啡店能較比美另外看到己經出了情人節晚餐,價錢合理, 加上這優雅的環境, 會是一個很適合與情人相聚的地方

Today I come to arex caffe try the lunch w my fds! Here quite busy on lunch time!We have 9 person! We order all three kinds of soup to taste! As Coco's Barista asked me to try this new coffee shop, I had my 4th shot of the day in @Rex, and It's by far the worst of the day.The barista girl hurried the waitress to bring me espresso, initially I thought the espresso would be okay, but no, all hope vanished when i see the cup. Crema is thin, some nutty aroma, first sip the body is watery and weak, existence of some acid which i love, but the aftertaste bitter totally destory the cup.a low 2 for the espresso.

見咁多好評,所以就係@rexcaffe慶祝Christmas Eve.打電話去訂位,職員都好有禮貌今次同fd去食個6-course set,前菜係意式半生熟牛仔肉薄片同香煎帶子, 帶子都好好味.Main course意式海鮮雜燴,有勁多海鮮,都ok新鮮架.而且佢煮到好似湯甘樣.好好食. 朋友要龍蝦燴意大利飯~佢之前去過意大利exchange,佢話同意大利既水準仲係差少少,但係係香港黎講,呢個係算數一數二甜品係南瓜薑批配意式茴香燉蛋,非常濃的南瓜味~~~個批皮好crispy,熱辣辣好味道.最後是咖啡,咖啡係唔錯,係好甘香而唔係苦澀~~ p.s 臨埋單之前,個職員仲介紹左個new year eve既menu,又係 6-course set. 不過可惜果日唔得閒啦.都係有機會先試下佢個lunch啦. 總括而言係店內氣氛不錯,食物水準唔錯係一間值得再去的餐廳~!!

有時有些秘密，又稱不上什麼秘密，當事人又未必太想人知道，但你又真的忍不住口，真的不知說不說好。可是，有些秘密總要有人分享才過癮的吧，只有自己知太沒趣了..... 所以還是找個不關事的人說一說好。哈哈，今天又約了羊小姐和她分享我近來知道的「秘密」，原本想去HＩT ｔHE ＲoAＤ，點知佢又俾人包場，所以就改變地點，黎左呢度。其實呢間CAFE都幾秘密的，因為唔算係好當眼處，羊小姐都話平日行過都唔見。而且眼見佢夜晚真係無咩客人，我地 7 點到去到，坐到 9 點幾都係得四，五檯客人，所以可能唔係好多人知。而且正好其他食友所講，似餐廳多過似CAFE喎，我見D客人好多時都飲紅酒既，多過我地呢D飲咖啡，哈哈! 不過環境倒是真的非常不錯，陰陰暗暗的情調，又夠寬敞，又不會很嘈，最適合給我們說秘密，YEAH!想了很久吃什麼好，因為雖然不少選擇，但又沒有什麼特別吸引和想吃。最後我們要了 2 個DINNER SET，有Appetizer，一個跟PASTA ($138)，一個跟MAIN COURSE ($168)。沒有甜品和飲品的，這樣也不知算是好或不好。我們兩個要了同一個appetizer，就是Beef ca

意國過江龍餐廳愈開愈多，當中記憶尤深的除了有Pascucci，還有這家@Rex。我承認餐廳感覺不似預期，話走cafe，其實更似一家casual意式餐廳。主打咖啡，用上正宗意國入口咖啡豆自家磨製，我叫了杯Latte之餘，更不怕羞地站在櫃檯前看侍應沖製，再請教每步製法，看到沖出來的咖啡脂，又濃又滑；看侍應打泡倒泡，做出數個咖啡層次，再拉花，很對辦。喫一口，確實沒令人失望，質地細滑，有沉鬱而不澀的咖啡香，喝罷精神抖擻；更正是喝後不會留有一朕嚡口，叫人回味。這次當brunch來吃，跟老友們叫了triple toast、penne、carbonara和risotto，triple toast由parma ham、rockets等組成，多士鬆脆，整體清新不heavy，惟parma ham不夠鹹香，明顯用的不夠上乘。再來penne，一流！用意大利番茄做base，簡單配上芝士、煙肉來焗，penne煙韌有嚼勁，茄汁微酸，茄香於口內留彌不散，我敢說是我近期吃過這麼多新餐廳中最好吃的！Carbonara水準合乎預期，全體以risotto最為失望，risotto煮得不夠嚼頭，明顯時間過火，芝士味不夠濃，叫了白

也不是第一次光顧了, 每次都想盡量去試menu上的各款食品; 通常我是晚餐時段才光顧的, 所以未能感受一下早晨以及中午的充滿咖啡氣味的atmosphere...長話短說, 我慣性會點White bean & Rosemary soup 作湯, Parma ham with melon & bread sticks 作appetizer; 另外會點一客Linguini with Clams pasta當作main course.這個pasta的意粉及蜆的味道是沒話說的了, 很清爽, 不過我本人略嫌意粉味道偏鹹一點, 這是因為我本來就習慣吃清淡的東西...友人們都說他們吃起來味道洽到好處.Vin方面他們採購的意大利紅酒以價格及味道來說真的是很平衡的, 我覺得收費還算便宜呢. 仍沒機會試試他們的白酒, 但以紅酒的水準來說白酒系列應不會差到哪裡去.本來不是很喜歡吃Dessert的, 但無論我多飽也必定會點Olive oil cake作為我的Finale呢!同去的友人差不多都盡試menu上的食品了, 也勸我多作其他的嘗試, 但我就是鍾情以上的幾道菜式...咖啡我不是很在行, 但也喝得出Antic

I personally think their coffees and foods are great. One should try their carbonara and olive oil cake too.

While I admit the barista or the chef slips occasionally, I think generally the quality of the coffee and food at @Rex is first class (given the amount of money spent), based on the few visits to this café/restaurant. Passed by this caffe on the way to the pier. Decided to take a nice rest and afternoon tea first, before returning home for revision.I am not a coffee-holic at all (in fact one who doesn't particularly love coffee), but it's a bit weird if I don't try a cup of coffee at a caffe run by a famous Italian coffee brand. I can see there's a few crying faces for @Rex Caffe, but honestly my experience here wasn't so bad. I went there for brunch in the weekends with my boyfriend. Perhaps I'm not as pro as the other writers, but I thought the coffee wasn't so bad. The barista was quite fast at making my latte and it was quite good. The food was quite good but I personally enjoyed their desserts more. Overall, I think my experience there deserves a smily face.
